Okay, I have an Atrix HD that I have rooted and unlocked the bootloader and I have been running the SlimKat ROM with little to no problems and Philz Touch recovery for about a week until yesterday when my phone reset itself and started to boot loop. They only other thing I had flashed was a new logo to get rid of that stupid unlocked bootloader warning. I am fairly savvy when it comes to rooting and flashing roms because I have done this for years with various Samsung devices but the Motorola is a little new to me with having Fastboot.
Let me tell you what I have tried...
I first did a factory data reset in Philz and that did nothing.... then I tried to recover it back to my stock rom that I was running before using a nandroid backup that I had made with Philz Touch and same thing happened, it just sticks in boot loop. I then try to flash the PAC rom after I do a factory data reset and all the wipes I need to flash a new rom in Philz Touch to see if I can get a different rom to load and nothing happens but boot loop again.
Next I go to the forums to find answers and I start to set up my ADB on my computer... After I get ADB setup I first do fastboot -w to do a factory data reset through fastboot, download the stock Mexican rom and tried to flash all the components individually with ADB in fastboot the way skeevydude mentioned in one of his threads (sorry I can't remember which one) and I got a failed error "FAILED (remote failure)" when I tried to flash the system.img.
I then went to Mythtools v1.3 because I thought that I was doing something wrong with the ADB and fastboot... I put the stock Mexico retail rom into the firmware folder in Mythtools and tried to flash the stock firmware through Mythtools. Mythtoold froze when it rebooted the fastboot at 50 of 100%
Now I am at a loss, I have done everything that I know to try to fix this and I have searched everywhere for help and I need help. This is they only phone that I have because I just switched over to to a new carrier and just purchased this phone.
Any help would be appreciated!
UPDATE
I went into Philz Touch and formatted the /system so I could try and flash it again and now the phone boots straight to fastboot and Philz touch if I hold volume+ and power. I am going to download the stock mex retail rom and try and flash it through Philz touch.
UPDATE
I got an Error mounting /data when I tried to format the /data and when I tried to intall the Mexico retail rom I got a "set_perm: some changes failed E:Error in /storage/sdcard1/Atrix HD Mexico Retail 4.1.2.zip (Status 7) Installation aborted."
UPDATE
I formatted /data and /data media in Philz Touch and then it started mounting /data so I wiped and install PAC rom and it booted up just fine.

Background on phone: flashed TWRP recovery 2.4.4 and unlocked bootloader
Installed Paranoid Android custom rom
Do not like low call volume issues, low Bluetooth volume issues, and doesn't recognize my wired headset as containing a mic, people cannot hear me on it.
I am wanting to go back a stock rom. I dont care if its ICS or JB, preferably ICS. It seems the there were many options to going back stock. I tried running the .exe for the RUU, you must have a relocked boot loader. I relocked the bootloader, now i am stuck with a constant loop of booting bootloader, cannot access the recovery.
So i unlock bootloader again, reinstall recovery. Then now cannot load my rom. I keep getting errors in twrp stating it cannot mount the drive(internal sd) Get same error if i try to wipe caches. So i wipe system and rom off. Now I can clear caches and error about mounting internal drive goes away.
Now I am left without a rom. In order to run .exe RUU installer I must have locked bootloader, and have rom running in usb debug, As if right now that's impossible.
My last option is flashing the BORKED rom. My version of twrp is to new, i treid to install an older version and just messed up twrp.
Any help is appreciated, and returning to stock would be awesome. Thanks
OK...
You have a laundry list of issues...
First... You should get twrp 2.5.0.0
Then... Using fastboot...
Fastboot flash recovery (recovery name)
Then reboot to recovery...
Mount USB...
Plug phone into computer...
Hopefully windows will offer to format your internal sdcard...
After that...
If you want BORKED... find wcx recovery... Flash that with fastboot... Then install borked...
Good luck

Hi
Yesterday I flashed a new rom on my htc one, when it was done and tried to reboot it kept getting stuck when booting, and even if I tried getting into recovery it didn't work. With adb i then put another recovery on my phone but i kept having the same problem... I see the begin of the logo from the recovery ( CWM and the same with TWRP) but then it just reboots again.
Can someboy please tell me what to do? can i flash another rom without recovery ? of what are my options?
Thanks in avance
Can you run fastboot erase cache after flashing recovery, and try again?
Would help to know more than vague terms of rom install..
i've unlocked my bootloader, rooted and installed twrp...i did all the required wipes and tried to install the titan rom 1.1.0..i thought the flashing has started but it came up with an error-"error executing updater binary in zip" i tried it the second time and the result was same..now when i tried to boot my phone up..it just hangs at the -"warning unlocked bootloader" screen..the phone isn't switching off and unable to enter the recovery...i can go to the fastboot mode..but when i select recovery..it doesn't go to twrp..it again gets stuck at the boot screen..what can i do now?
Flash stock image
Similar problem in another thread I just posted to. I am having similar problems.
If after flashing stock then flash custom recovery to be able to go into recovery ?
Hello, I need to know what version of firmware you were, I think, will have to increase the bootloader to install again and there TWRP, flash any ROM

Click to collapse
Make sure you're using TWRP 2.8.6
Do all your wipes, reboot again into recovery, go to mount and make sure system isn't checked, go to install and try to flash again.

Okay so I tried to flash cyanogenmod 11 for the first time on this moto G2 (xt1068). It bootlooped and I tired to reflash it again and it did the same. There was no way of returning to stock because I had not made a backup. So I tried to flash stock in the bootloader and that didn't work. I went into the recovery and it said 'cant mount /sdcard. So go back into the bootloader and format the sdcard and that doesn't work (which I returned to the recovery to see it not working). I go back and flash twrp thinking that recovery would have something to help me flash a new rom and now I don't even have a working recovery. It takes me straight back to the bootloader and every time I flash a recovery it says Mismatched partition size (recovery) and I am unable to boot into it.
I have no clue on what to do at this point and I need help.
My device is bootloader unlocked not rooted
while trying to root i accidentally flashed twrp which made it always booting to twrp i wiped, formated using twrp to get my device back (iam a beginner and my first day on fastboot)
then i tried flashing different boot.img files to boot into android but none worked
then tried to flash stockrom using mi flash tool but it is showing error no such partition
please help me get back my phone please

Edit: Also, from memory, TWRP has boot fix and factory reset options - you can try those first.
