Did you already try using the unlock code.bin file to unlock the bootloader again?

Sadly not, wiped my laptop with all my backups unlock tokens etc , have a new laptop now so had to start from scratch, I have no issues with adb or fastboot they are working as they should.
When I try to generate unlock token it just says in cmd waiting for device and it will stick for 20 mins easy so tearing my hair out at the mo

If your s off (you said u had a modified hboot) you should just be able to fastboot oem unlock ??

tried this, also tried relock and lock. When I try unlock it gives error same as relock.
But when I try to type in lock the return message is already locked.
tried flashing 2 europe RUU's in the RUU Bootloader screen (silver HTC Screen) and it keep saying error at signature verification.
Tried the unlock token route again but I get a message from HTCdev thas at the token is an invalid amount

There are adb commands you can use to unlock and lock the bootloader when you are s off. Maybe if you try using one of the temp root options. There are some guides on this site

This link has the commands if you can get the temp root to work
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2470340

Right so I have tried previous mentioned possible routes without any luck.
Here is my information
TAMPERED
RELOCKED
M7_UL PVT SHIP S-ON RH
HBOOT-1.57.0000
RADIO-4A.23.3263.28
OpenDSP-v32.120.274.0909
OS-4.20.771.17
eMMC-boot 2048MB
FEB 14 2014, 17;06;28.0
I cannot S-OFF, TRIED RUMRUNNER, FIREWATER and a few other methods but i am totally stuck here. adb and fastboot commands work until signature verification then it fails.

Well if the temp root plus those commands didn't work I think you really are screwed unfortunately

So the news for today is, I have still yet to find a solution for this strange 1.57 HBOOT problem.
No matter what I try RUU or adb/fastboot commands Im getting signature verification failure each time, the strange thing is I know I'm missing something but cannot put my finger on it to make it right, its one of those silly basic things.
The phone on the other hand works perfectly normal as it should but would like to get back to 100% stock for warranty issue.
LOOKS LIKE I AM SCREWED ROYALLY

Ooooobiiii dooooo,
I wanna be like yoooo hooo hooo.
Yes that is the sound of the voice inside my head is singing.

Thought I would give the HTCdev token a go again a lo and behold I am now unlocked wooooopwoooooop
time to downgrade from pesky 1.57HBOOT
Cheers for the help anyway peeps

It's funny how doing the same thing again and again even if you don't do anything different works sometimes

I know mate had an issue logging into HTC dev for 30 mins then all of a sudden i managed to login again got my token, unlocked bootloader, flashed custom recovery, rooted, s-off and im now flashing skydragon xperia edition 1.7.
Once All that is sorted I will be downgrading HBOOT, unroot, lock hboot and restore back to stock.
Seems like a long way around but might as well do it correctly.
I GOT THERE IN THE END LOLOLOLOL:highfive:

What I got out of that article was that HTC needed to prove that being s-off or even rooted caused the issue affecting the phone.
Edit: there is a thread about doing away with that flag. Let me research it out.

Here's that section again:
"S-OFF: Moonshine vs. Revone
Revone does not install a custom hboot. So if you come here and flash my custom hboot and later go back with the backup i have here or with your own backup, you can then safely go back S-ON too.
Moonshine installs a custom hboot. So, if you come here and flash my custom hboot you will a.) loose moonshine special hboot and b.) you should also know that resetting moonshine S-OFF to S-ON is as dangerous as it is to do on my hboot, since its modded too! Moonshiners should also flash a stock hboot prior to set security back to ON."
Last sentence says to flash a stock hboot PRIOR to going s-on.
Edit: I know there are quite a few posts, but give it a read cuz someone probably asked the same type of question.

Returning to stock for warranty

Hi.
Here's my problem.
I work in the steel industry and keep getting fine metal particals on my HTC one speakers. I blew them only with my mouth so no real force behind it to get rid of the crap build up.
Now both my speakers are crackling really bad. Even at low volume.
Rand HTC this morning to arrainge a repair.
Problem is I'm rooted, s-off and running android revolution hd.
Wasn't planning on running back to stock. What's best prosedure to do this?

If you can use revone to relock and remove the tampered from your H-BOOT.
Then use an RUU to flash back to stock, and that should then have you back at stock with S-On and no tampered notice
Cheers mate Il try that.

If i'm not mistaken you will need to flash it first with the RUU and then relock it.
this is what i did
lock bootloader
revone -t to remove tampered and revone -l to change relocked to locked
run RUU
then fastboot oem writesecureflag 3 gives you s-on
back to stock, bootloader says locked, no tampered and s-on

Yeah you should be able to relock now and gain S-On again. If you are completly sure that its stock.
But keep in mind the recovery will need to be flashed to stock.
So I would still advice doing the RUU to be on the safe side.
ive managed to relock bootloader and use revone to gain s on again.
having issues now removing the TAMPERED label.
keep getting an error
revone failed (error code = -2)
any ideas

Tempered means you have unlocked your bootloader, revone doesnt work with other Hboot version but 1.44
That why you're getting that error.
Also, you cant get s-on by revone

[Q] 4.1.2 to 4.3?

Hey all I'm new to the HTC one and am a bit confused. I just got this thing yesterday and have unlocked the bootloader(HTC Dev), rooted it(SuperSU), and tried to S-off but it ended at this"must sanitize, skunky rum is nasty
hold please..............................................
[TTTT********************************************************]" so I'm not sure if it completed fine? Oh well. My question is...Can I upgrade from stock(4.1.2 to a ROM like ViperOne(4.3)? With no problems? I used to build SlimRoms for the Samsung Infuse and I know we couldn't just jump up builds like that. We had to go one android version at a time. Is this the case with the HTC one? Any help would be appreciated Thanks guys
Which hboot do you have? (you can check it in bootloader longpressing power and vol- when the phone is off).
If you have 1.44 hboot, i advice you to use the revone tool!
I believe I do have 1.44. I tried running sujo(?) Again and this time my phone rebooted to bootloader then to my phone's main screen and I had no data and couldn't unlock my phone. It said adb failed to load or something like that and "YOU fix it.." so I rebooted it and it's fine now..maybe dumb question how do I find out if I'm s-off or on? Because it may have worked..

Now, Why does the OTA update not appear for me? Is it because my bootloader is unlocked? If so what's the safest process to go from 4.1.2 to 4.3? I'd like to update to the ViperOne ROM. Thanks for any help guys I really appreciate it.

The OTA depends about your cid.
However, you can upgrade to the ViperOne, just flash it in recovery.
p.s. I advice to flash the 3.62 firmware, so you will have a phone like the stock but with the Viper

Is there something I can do to correct this?

So I had in the beginning accidentally erased my OS yet had TWRP. Well it took awhile, but I figured it out and I fixed it. Well I had the One S-off, unlocked with TWRP recovery. Not sure what happened, but I ran an RUU and now I am without an OS, stock recovery, locked boot loader, S-on (not sure how that happened) and I have supercid so my unlock.bin won't work. If I do the whole HTC dev would I get a new unlock token with supercid?

Ran the newest RUU for AT&T (I have T-Mobile) then I got a new unlock token for the stuck supercid. From there I unlocked, installed TWRP, and root. Did s-off and then I flashed the developers RUU and all's well again.

[Q] Downgrade hboot prior to sending phone for service?

I have read on various threads that when you send your phone for service, it typically comes back with latest firmware, and as a result, latest hboot 1.56. Would the device be considered for repair under warrenty if it is completely stock, s-on, latest firmware, but older hboot? This way the device firmware might not be upgraded during service and being on a lower hboot might make it easier to obtain s-off post service. Thoughts?

if everything is up to date except the hboot, they will know you have tampered the phone and your warranty will not be valid.
Ok get it. Thanks.

Be careful with hboot 1 56.
If you go S-On. You may not be able to go S-Off again. Also make sure if you go S-On to do so before Ota 3.**.***.*.
Quote" Step 3: if YOU decide to go S-On*(Note: this should only be done for warranty or selling the phone, it is not needed for OTAs)
fastboot oem writesecureflag 3
reboot 3 times and make sure it doesnt say "tamper detected - rebooting" and then shows TAMPERED again
as far as I know, this was introduced in hboot 1.55" End Quote. Thank you @nkk71
Though I see no reason to take OTA updates all the way to hboot1.55/1.56.
Not everyone I imagine wants to be on the latest firmware.
Has long as it's fully stock , HTC will honour the Warranty.

So you are suggesting I first downgrade and then achieve s-on? I am ok with no s-off. Getting warranty is more important for me at this point. I want to be on the latest firmware. So if I go s-on with hboot 1.56, I will be in a fix? In that case can I s-on with present hboot 1.44 and then flash hboot 1.56? Or it will not be possible since i would be s-on?

The hboot file didn't work. So I extracted it from the OTA file I had with me for 4.19.1540.9 and replaced the hboot img file in the zip I had for hboot 1.44. Worked!
But it was scary - I executed fasboot flash zip command and the progress bar n the phone was stuck around 75% but cmd returned OK. So as per instructions on htc1guru, I executed the command again and the status bar didn't move but again cmd said OK. Finally turned off the phone by holding down power button and prayed and turned it on. Phone booted with hboot 1.56!
PS: Exactly same thing had happened when I had downgraded to hboot 1.44

Sorry should have mentioned that. It goes like this..
adb reboot-bootloader
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip hboot.zip
Now the first time you issue a command to flash firmware/ruu in fastboot it only prepares the flash. *You have to issue the exact command again:
fastboot flash zip hboot.zip
The green status bar usually does not reach the 100% mark. *When the output in the command window is complete, you can reboot:
fastboot reboot

Got my One back! Camera is awesome now. Low light, normal light, sunlight... every situation the camera excels.
Sensor is ov6488, no date.
Only thing that that is bugging me, but I can live with it - using flash results in a very light green hue on the entire photograph. But I rarely use flash.
And the camera lens (and the flash module) are a little off-center from glass at the back, but it seems to have no effect on the photos, so I am fine (but just a little annoyed) with it.
At the same time, I want to confirm a couple of things -
1) Does this sensor have OIS - had read somewhere it is same sensor as the one used in M8, which doesn't have OIS
2) The photos appear distorted towards the ends/edges - a characteristic of the wide angle lense I understand - but with the prior sensor, when I use to set Crop as Regular, the photos use to get straight at ends/edges; but that is not the case anymore - no matter what Crop I select - Wide, Regular, and Square, photos are distorted/wide at ends/edges. Hope this is the way it is suppose to be.
