Hi,
when I try to update my Xperia V OTA to 4.3 it downloads the update, starts to install, reboots and continue the install, but arund half way it stops, reboots and gives the message that the update was aborted.
I cannot update it with cable, because the microUSB-port is in some way broken and only loads the phone, not connects to (any) computer.
Anyone with any idea how to solve? Is it possible to put the update at a micro SD card or something?
Have tried to do a factory reset, but no luck.
It´s noot rooted but I think the bootloader is unlocked(?).

So I just got a message for an OTA update and I tried to install it. During the installation, the phone aborted it and asked me if I wanted to reboot. What I didn't realize was that the system UI was deleted so that the new update could replace it. When I rebooted my phone it started up normally but then went into is a blue screen. I tried to reboot the system again in recovery mode but it won't go into it. Is there anyway I can fix this?
EDIT
I got into the recovery and tried to do a sideload to see if I could get a rom onto the phone but my phone won't connect to the computer. If anyone knows of something I could try, it would be much appreciated.
Hey guys, I don't know if this is out of topic but since this is for xperia z bricked, I'll show my problem.
So, I updated my xperia z for 3 times since I bought it, It came with Android 4.2.2 and the updates were all OTA.
Then, sudently It started to reboot itself and entering in bootloop.. Then, I tried to use flashtool but always gave me error about S1 flash, and then "Error: Flash Aborted"
So I tried to unlock my bootloader several times (Yes, several times, because it was always saying ok, but then it was showing "ROOTABLE") then, when I Finally got it unlocked, I couldn't flash anything because it was gaving me error saying that couldn't write boot.. Then, Tried Pc companion but again, failed, and my phone was stuck in "Update failed (...)"
Then finally, I flashed advanced kernel by DoomLord and entered in CWM, but when I tried to wipe factory reset, It was saying that couldn't mount data.. Then, I have formated the Data and Media (SD Card) And then, I was able to do factory reset, but, then, I went to advance and did reboot recovery.. My phone turned off, but never came on... I arrived at home and connect ti to wall charger, but no sign of life, nothing, not even red led or anytihng.. NOTHING!! Don't know what happened.. I really need help on this man, please :c

Your hard bricked my friend when you unlock the bootloader you cannot use pc companion at all. The is a hard brick tutorial in general section by NUT try that it sounds doughnting but you have no choice
My moto g xt1063 keeps rebooting but I can't figure out why. Sometimes it goes to the home screen and works fine for a few minutes before rebooting again, most of the times it gets stuck on the bootloader warning screen and reboots. I can access recovery though.
I had planned to install cyanogenmod on it a couple of months ago but I got stuck on an "Error updater binary in zip" so I just gave up. The device is running Official Rom provided by Telcel (México) and has SuperUser on it too, I had a notification about the binary but updating didn't fixed the problem.
I have a backup on my computer (mac) but since I can't get the phone to sync by usb I was wondering how to copy it via recovery (clockworckmod v6.0.4.7) or if it's best to buy a micro sd and try to install from there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
First try a factory reset.
Use an sdcard yo retore backup
If fail return to stock rom
If you have a recovery installed try to make a backup from there and save it in some place like a sd card.
After that I suggest you install CM 12.1 21/05/2015 and look how it works.
Or if you prefer then reinstall the stock rom.
Hi everyone,
I seem to have nothing but trouble when it comes to installing OTA updates for my Gear Live, and am wondering if anyone can help me.
It all started when the Android 5.1.1 update notification arrived on my Gear Live some time ago. I eagerly installed it, and expected it to install without any problems. Unfortunately, the update reached around 30%, before displaying the Android mascot with a red exclamation mark. I managed to restart the watch, and re-downloaded and installed the update. The same thing happened, except, it was stuck in a boot loop :crying:
I contacted Samsung Australia who took the watch in for repairs (it took them 4 weeks). I was pretty happy to see the watch working again, and running the 5.1.1 update.
Just yesterday, I received a notification that an update is ready to be installed. I swiped and hit install. The watch rebooted, and began the installation. Again, reaching 30% before failing and displaying the Android mascot with the red exclamation mark. I am yet again stuck in a boot loop. I managed to tap the Android mascot, which brought up the Android System Recovery. It said
"Installation aborted.
OTA failed! Please power off the device to keep it in this state and file a bug report!"
I have cleared the cache, and have wiped the data through recovery. This seems to allow the watch to boot up, however, the process repeats itself when I try to update it again.
Does anyone know why the update would be failing, especially after it has already been repaired by Samsung, and how I can fix it myself (I don't really want to be without a watch again for 4 weeks)?
Thanks,
Tim
Did you try the live restore tool? (read the whole thread)

I attempted to use it, however, it was unable to detect my device.
Update: I attempted the update again, which failed. However, instead of wiping the data, I navigated to 'Install via ADP' (or the likes), which brought up an error message:
Verifying current system...
"/system/priv-app/ClockworkHomeGoogle/ClockworkHomeGoogle.apk" has unexpected contents.
E:Error in @/cache/recovery/block.map

Try a different usb cable? (ie official, not a cheap one)
My watch always took a few goes to get detected by adb

I had that exact error yesterday when I was trying to install new OTA update. I flashed back to KMV78Y(from live restore tool v2) Don't use v3 it has corrupted file and breaks bluetooth.
Try to manually flash using fastboot. I wouldn't recommend trying to flash recovery partition from live restore tool since you can end up with a broken OTA and broken adb sideload. Also, don't try to flash TWRP into recovery partition. Loading it into ram memory is fine though.
Anyways, to manually flash using fastboot, you need to open console and go to directory of Gear live restore tool. Make sure your watch is in bootloader mode, not recovery. Type fastboot flash boot 78Yboot.img and then fastboot flash system 78Ysystem.img Do factory reset just in-case and upgrade your way up to latest firmware.
Hey, so i got an Alcatel one touch idol x+ and i had android version 4.2.2 jelly bean, so i tried to update the system to kitkat 4.4 (with the official update) and it was going well (it used to fail immediatly after i tried to update) so it was almost finished when it gave me an error. So i restarted the phone and it redirected me to the system recovery screen and i tried everything, every option, tried to wipe everything, factory reset, and i can't put it to work again, i need some help :/
Notes:
The battery is built in
I don't have sd card since it only has internal memory
It sends me everytime to system recovery or it just says the name of the phone and gets stuck there
