So I just got a message for an OTA update and I tried to install it. During the installation, the phone aborted it and asked me if I wanted to reboot. What I didn't realize was that the system UI was deleted so that the new update could replace it. When I rebooted my phone it started up normally but then went into is a blue screen. I tried to reboot the system again in recovery mode but it won't go into it. Is there anyway I can fix this?
EDIT
I got into the recovery and tried to do a sideload to see if I could get a rom onto the phone but my phone won't connect to the computer. If anyone knows of something I could try, it would be much appreciated.

Hello,
I am hoping somebody can give me a little advice on my issue.
I updated to the OTA 2.2 via the full SBF file, i then rooted using the one click root. I then installed the 928 black glass theme that deodex's at the same time.
Everything was running fine. I them wanted to change some of the icons by modifying the framework file. I booted into recovery and created a back up before attempting to change the framework file. I them made the changes to the icons i wanted to in the framework file. a sent it back to the phone via ADB. However the phone was stuck in a boot loop. I then pulled the battery and it rebooted into recovery. I selected my backup and it started to load. The problem is it gets to where it says "Restoring Data" and it just hangs there. I let it sit at that point for over 20 min with no change. I also have tried to go into the advance recovery and just restore the data file on its own, but it also freezes.
Anyone know what might be the issue here?
Thanks
Hi everyone. I have a problem I can't seem to resolve. I tried updating to the OTA jellybean update a couple weeks ago, it seemed to go ok. I then tried to go back to an earlier version of eclipse rom I was using. Now when I power on the phone I get AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S) (Flash Failure). I can select normal boot and it will go into my ICS Rom that I have loaded in slot 1 after going thru my safestrap recovery program. So the phone is not unusable, just very annoying to use. My question is, how can I get the fastboot flash mode flash failure warning to not show up every time I reboot the phone? I've tried loading the Stock JB Rom from verizon, Blur_Version.6.7.246.xt875.verizon.en.us with RSD Lite, but when I try to extract the files with RSD, I get the error "Please check input file. Either XML format is wrong or image files associated with it are missing." I just want to be able to get a stock rom back on my phone, without any errors when I boot it, I don't care if I have root, safestrap, or anything else, I just want a properly working phone. Any suggestions how to get rid of the boot flash failure warning? Thanks!!!! Richard
Update.... Looks like I really screwed it up now. Tried to rsd lite a JB rom, got about 1/2 way, to copying system image, then hung up. Now when I reboot, it won't even go into recovery or normal mode... Stoopid operator malfunction..... Any suggestions on which rom I can try to install via RSD Lite to help get it back going? It will still go into AP fastboot mode.
He's dead, Jim. Nothing is working, no rom will load, they either fail or hang up. Now both of my batteries are dead, and it won't even try to do anything. Any suggestions?? Guess I'm in the market for another phone. Maybe some of the gurus on here have some advice. Thx.

Thanks to some other posts on here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2236980 I tried installing the system and preinstall img files manually thru moto fastboot. They seemed to hang up after a few minutes, but I tried to install the files anyway. Afterwards, I was able to get into recovery mode and do a system wipe and reinstall the JB rom that I had on my SD card. Now a couple hours later, I got the pageplus 4g issue fixed again, and just finished rooting it with the tutorial on XDA http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2256439.
You guys are awesome! Thanks for all your hard work.
EDIT: Wish I could delete this. Just found a post about how to fix this...but it involves opening the phone and messing with the hardware. Wish someone could walk me through it :s
So, I hope I didn't, but here is the scenario:
Wanted to install Lollipop ROM from KitKat...tried, failed, found out I needed to have a downgraded radio. Okay...use LG Flash Tool to give myself another try. Load up Jellybean...couldn't figure out how to flash custom recovery in Jellybean as all tutorials are outdated or just didn't work when I tried them, so I thought the best way to do it was to get the Kitkat OTA from Verizon and let it install, then flash a custom recovery (since I figured out how to do that with Kitkat...Autorec), then flash the old radio then the Lollipop ROM and voilĂ . However, when waiting for the download for Verizon OTA, I tried again to install a custom recovery, and when tried to load it, I just got a black screen. So I just decided to go back into the Android OS and install the OTA once it finished downloading...
The OTA finished downloading and I clicked install, my phone then rebooted...and stupid me didn't even realise what I have just done. The OTA tried going to recovery mode to install...but there's nothing there. Now I am stuck at a black screen that is trying to start recovery mode and when trying to reboot and get into download mode, it won't let me and just goes to the broken recovery mode.
So...can't really think of any other options for me. What can I do? When I plug it into my computer, it connects my phone as like 20 different drive letters that all say they need to be formatted.
So my question is...what can I do?
Hi everyone,
I seem to have nothing but trouble when it comes to installing OTA updates for my Gear Live, and am wondering if anyone can help me.
It all started when the Android 5.1.1 update notification arrived on my Gear Live some time ago. I eagerly installed it, and expected it to install without any problems. Unfortunately, the update reached around 30%, before displaying the Android mascot with a red exclamation mark. I managed to restart the watch, and re-downloaded and installed the update. The same thing happened, except, it was stuck in a boot loop :crying:
I contacted Samsung Australia who took the watch in for repairs (it took them 4 weeks). I was pretty happy to see the watch working again, and running the 5.1.1 update.
Just yesterday, I received a notification that an update is ready to be installed. I swiped and hit install. The watch rebooted, and began the installation. Again, reaching 30% before failing and displaying the Android mascot with the red exclamation mark. I am yet again stuck in a boot loop. I managed to tap the Android mascot, which brought up the Android System Recovery. It said
"Installation aborted.
OTA failed! Please power off the device to keep it in this state and file a bug report!"
I have cleared the cache, and have wiped the data through recovery. This seems to allow the watch to boot up, however, the process repeats itself when I try to update it again.
Does anyone know why the update would be failing, especially after it has already been repaired by Samsung, and how I can fix it myself (I don't really want to be without a watch again for 4 weeks)?
Thanks,
Tim
Did you try the live restore tool? (read the whole thread)

I attempted to use it, however, it was unable to detect my device.
Update: I attempted the update again, which failed. However, instead of wiping the data, I navigated to 'Install via ADP' (or the likes), which brought up an error message:
Verifying current system...

E:Error in @/cache/recovery/block.map

Try a different usb cable? (ie official, not a cheap one)
My watch always took a few goes to get detected by adb

I had that exact error yesterday when I was trying to install new OTA update. I flashed back to KMV78Y(from live restore tool v2) Don't use v3 it has corrupted file and breaks bluetooth.
Try to manually flash using fastboot. I wouldn't recommend trying to flash recovery partition from live restore tool since you can end up with a broken OTA and broken adb sideload. Also, don't try to flash TWRP into recovery partition. Loading it into ram memory is fine though.
Anyways, to manually flash using fastboot, you need to open console and go to directory of Gear live restore tool. Make sure your watch is in bootloader mode, not recovery. Type fastboot flash boot 78Yboot.img and then fastboot flash system 78Ysystem.img Do factory reset just in-case and upgrade your way up to latest firmware.
Hey all i apologize in advance im really new to all this stuff. I have a d950 it was rooted (cwm kept saying root was lost) and im using the stock ROM. The other day i got an update notification on my phone i kept ignoring it for a few days and one day i turn my phone over and its in CWM. I tried to use the restores that i had created with no luck and somehow ended up erasing my phone as in all the restores and anything else is gone. I have been lurking here for about a week trying different things the phone wont boot to any mode except CWM. First the drivers would not work with the phone ended up having to modify the google usb drivers since the lg ones would not work. I was then able to push stock firmware that i found into the phone but when i try to install it says installation aborted after about a second. I have read that its more then likely because it isnt compatible with my phone but it said it was for the d950. I then tried to enter fastboot with no luck just still cycling between the LG logo or CWM. At this point any help would be appreciated before i give up and have to get another phone.
