I have root, CF-autoroot applied with Odin. I tried to OTA (after doing a backup of course), but it detects root. Is there any way I can update and continue to be rooted?

It seems like I got the latest version yesterday already so I cant really test it, but my guess is that KIES update would work. The OTA stops me right at the checking for the new firmware while KIES reports there is no newer version.

I don't know, I had tried to flash a russian ROM and it failed, had to reinitialize via kies
I've flashed on my phone lots of roms with odin, the only time one failed was a Serbian ROM, but I thought it was because the download failed.
As soon as I finish downloading this I'll report if it works.
finally,awesome new
Link to SM-G900H Lollipop (5.0)
True indeed. Unfortunately I can't post the link but send me a message if interested. Nevertheless, I will see if I can post a Mega link after some time.
I wonder if someone can change this rom to custom. So we can flash it easily from recovery. Please guys we want a stock custom rom.

Exynos update is only available in one region, though it’s only a matter of time before the update becomes available to others either through Samsung Kies, an OTA or both methods. To check for the OTA, you can always head to Settings> System> About Device> Software Update.:thumbup::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer:

How to install kazakstan firmware to india s5 exynos octa????
hi i have downloaded the kazakstan firmware and i want to install it to s5 india..
my phone is not rooted
please tell me how can i install the firmware?
I am on my 3rd reinstall, first I upgraded via Odin on top of kitkat, and system was too slow, 2nd I rooted via auto root (It works btw) and apparently I deleted with Titaniun Backup something important and system refused to boot. 3rd reinstall I just rooted and deleted some bloatware and everything is working ok. This is Multilingual btw. overall not so fast no so slow, I use cm12 official nightly in another device and its just a bit slower. Used Sammobile link to get the file
Hi! i downloaded it today and it's running now! works great! i don't know how to root the device with android 5
It works perfectly. Although I tried different versions of the country. Can we root that? Is anyone try to root it?

Is it possible to flash Canadian firmware for US unlocked note 8?

Hello
Currently I have US unlocked note 8 and using Telus which is one of Canadian carriers.
Unfortunately Volte is not available for US unlocked note 8 probably due to different CSC country code.
If I flash firmware for Canadian will I fully be able to use carrier specific features?
Is there any guide for this ?
Thanks for reading.

Hey! I have kind of a similar issue. i bought my s8 from Canada (service provider : bell). When i moved back to India, i needed region specific apps like SPay to work. Then i could manage to change CSC code from BMC (Bell) to XAC (Canada unlocked). However, i need to change it to INS. I downloaded Indian s8 firmware. But i am not sure if i can flash HOME_CSC using Odin as my S8 is a snapdragon variant(obviously) and I'm really worried if it would brick my device. Or if i would not receive OTA's (Because ONE UI is all I'm looking for) . Please guide me here.
Thanks for reading .

Just follow the steps in this thread below. XME is the Malaysian CSC which is included in the multi csc oxm.
https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/foru...cial-stock-firmware-update-odin-t3677072/amp/
I finally flashed a new firmware(security patch from Oct) and everything went well!Status is still official and Knox wasn't tripped. One thing is weird though. Smart switch doesn't see my firmware version anymore.
Thanks everybody for all help, much appreciated!!

One UI beta help

If I use Odin to install One UI, will it root my phone and is the lastest update already available to install because I'm finding ways to install it and it says install an early build, and will it go to the lastest build or will it be in the early build?

Ok. You're new here, so I'll help you out. But next time, search for your answers before starting a new thread. We already have at least two threads on how to install the One UI Beta, and another thread that's is a discussion of the beta and I cludes instructions on how to get it.
Main thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-9/how-to/note-9-pie-alpha-t3849980
And these two are threads other people started stating how they installed it:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-9/how-to/how-one-ui-beta-verizon-note-9-t3877076
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-9/how-to/how-to-beta-update-note-9-u1-t3875949
You need to read those threads to understand what you're doing, the pros and cons, and how to downgrade if needed. And please for the love of God, if you install it and have some bugs, don't start a new thread. Post those issues in the main discussion. One. We've probably already discussed it and maybe even found a solution. Two, it makes it easier to track.
Ok, so you have an ATT Note 9. You have two options for Pie. One, you can flash the leaked C builds and keep all your carrier features and bloat. Such as WiFi calling, VoLTE, RCS messaging, and all those lovely ATT apps, and that gorgeous ATT boot animation and jingle.
Or, you can use the modified ODIN to flash the U1 firmware and get on the official BETA Z builds. This will be a clean OS with no carrier bloat, apps, or boot animations. But it will mean no WiFi calling or VoLTE, etc.
If you go the C build route to keep carrier features, you will have to use ODIN to downgrade to Oreo each time you want to sideload the newest leak.
If you go the official Beta route and don't care about those carrier features, then you will use ODIN once to flash the U1 firmware and then you can update via OTA each time an update is pushed.
Which one do you want to do?

Note 8 (N950U) update BRA9 to Oreo?

Hello, I bought a note 8 N950U that was refurbished. It says it's a sprint brand, currently at software TMO - n950usqu3bra9. I am using this on the cricket network though.
I found a guide to go from the tmobile BRA9 to oreo (crc2) using odin 3.13.1. This isn't the latest version of oreo though, so would I be able to update ota afterwards? or odin to a later version after that?
What is the best way to get to the latest version of oreo, and which version of oreo would I want to be at, since there are different versions for different carriers?
Thanks

There are no longer different versions for different carriers with Oreo.
But to answer your question, just down load the latest available from the SamFirm tool then flash it with ODIN. Easy peasy.
