It won't cause any more problems and white balance helps with the issue
But Sony seems to calibrate the colors on different updates so you might have to readjust your WB settings after each update
Some users have reported yellow hue dissapeared after a certain update while other users got it after the same update
You could send it back if it bothers you but its a lottery and you're better off with white balance

Thanks for the reply... i got bit panicked when i first notice the problem. thank you for your help!

I have it as well, for me it's always been there with every update, while the white balance helps a lot it's not perfect because adding a lot of blue increases the contrast and reduces saturation a little bit, if I was you I would send it back.
I have checked about 12 other Z1s on stores and only one had the yellow tint so chances you get the same problem with your replacement unit are very minimal

Light leak problem

Does anyone is having light leak issues with your devices from the end of the bezel?
Sent from my XT1068
Looks like that's a "normal" problem:
http://youtu.be/1lAHbpc8fW4?t=7m35s
I don't think it's normal since i don't have any light bleeding, even under full brightness in a dark room.
Mine seems to be horrific at night in full brightness
Sent from my Nexus 4 using XDA Free mobile app
To clarify, I don't see that anyone has mentioned that this bleeding seems to be present on the WHITE MODELS... Detroit Borg showed this, but then - again - he had the WHITE model.
Ask for replacement bro..
Only thing you can do..
I have a black one and don't seem to find this issue even in Full brightness, may the one you got has some gaps.
Did the light bleeding start after you performed the bend-test or before?
In my black version no issue, you can ser in Erika review in YouTube this issue in the white version
I had replaced 2 Moto Gs before I got a good working piece. One of them had this issue, get it replaced if it annoys you, not really that big of a deal, but hey, if it's irritating why not?

[Q] [camera] pink spot

hello guys, is anyone experiencing this issue with both the z3c cameras? i've noticed that the problem seems to be partially related to the white balance and exposure and it's also a common deal with many other smartphones and tablets cameras (not just sony branded ones). i've tried with all the shooting modes possible and with 3th part camera apps as well but the pink spot at the center of the picture is still there.
i was wondering if it was a common issue (software maybe) or my unit was damaged,in this case i will give my device back to sony.
here some samples:
Looks exactly like the pink spot in my Z2 tablet's pictures.
Here is your answer:

I'm having the same issue and apparently Clove doesn't cover return shipping costs which is pretty frustrating.
EDIT: it also seems to disappear later in the day.
Got my Z3C today, no pink spot on mine.
I'm getting the Pink Spot too, but I think it only started happening after I dunked my phone in the water...
degraaff, can you take a photo of something white? Thanks!

This is a common "problem" the camera app and post-processing will almost remove it. To see it go in diagnostics (you have to switch the developer mode) and thn camera, so you see unprocessed camera picture. I don't think it is a defect, most smartphones suffer from it.

Hoping that Sony will fix it somehow, as I am planning to get a Z3C too..
Have it on HTC one too. It should be the ISO value in dark

But it is related to the design of the sensor, iPhone also exhibit it some more than others but it is normally corrected by the software as it is normal.
Apparently mine does also have a pink spot, ever so slightly in my test picture:
I'm also getting the pink spot.
Has Sony officially said anything about this issue yet?
I just bought the phone 2 days ago...I'm gonna see if I can get it exchanged.

Awful color saturation and green tint on refurbished S10 plus unlocked

Hey everyone,
I just got an amazo renewed s10 plus, and the phone is in great condition (Everything works perfectly) except for the fact that the screen colors are awful (not well calibrated/saturated in my opinion) and when using a brightness lower than 50% I can definitely notice a greenish tint on my screen.
I am coming from an S9+ and the S9's screen looks MUCH better. I am using "Vivid" on both devices (the "saturated" config), which is the one I enjoy, and i've tried messing with the advanced colors, but there's no way to replicate on the s10 plus a similar image to the S9
I have read a lot of posts that the s20 ultra and s10 lite had some issues with green tints that were eventually corrected via software.
Do you reckon/think this could also be a software issue or it seems much more likely to be a hardware(screen) issue?
THe model is SM-G975U1, USA Unlocked version (Snapdragon)
THanks for your help!!!

Could also be do to an aftermarket screen if Amazon needed to replace the screen on it, just a thought.

Could be, but i'm deeply interested in finding out if any other s10+ users have been experiencing this lately (thinking it may be a software issue)
THanks and looking forward to more replies!
I know there's been green screen issues popping up since the s8 or older so it's not new
If it is a software issue, you can fix it by formatting it for sure. If it is hardware, then I believe Amazon renewed products have 6 months of warranty, so it should be either replaceable from Amazon, or you can get it fixed at samsung free of cost.
So I just updated to the latest July patch and the tint and bad colors are all still present, this is definitely a hardware and not software issue in this case.
Thanks a lot for the help!

Yes even I have got the same problem.
And it got worst today after at brightness level of 20-70% it shows the greenish tint as well as horizontal lines.
If you set brightness to 10% or 75% above everything is fine..

Question Green tint ? Lolz

Just wondering if the green tint issue synonymous on Samsung 2020 panels has continued its trend onto the S21U? Asking for a mate.

Hi.
Haven't noticed any green tinting on my panel yet. Even on the lowest brightness. There is a teeny tiny smidge of motion smearing at the minimum brigntness when scrolling dark web-pages, but that's about the only fault I can find with the screen so far.

I had the S20 (6 different devices). All had a green/red tint issue. The S21 Ultra has a much better display. Mine at least.

Yeah. One of my Note 20 Ultras was more green tintish than the other. I couldn’t stand it, the Oneplus 8 pro also had it slightly. As did the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Thanks for sharing your experience.

You can change the colour temperature anyway under display settings. If you get a display with green tint just turn down the green and up the red.

Cheers. It didn’t quite work that way in practice.
I had the screen show a like a green background for split second , does this mean the screen is starting to get faulty or is it a software issue? I had this phone since launch (for about 4 months now)

If it was a one-time occurence, it could be due to anything. Difficult to diagnose it based on a split-second incidence. If it doesn't happen again, don't worry about it. But if the same issue keeps occuring, then it may be worthwhile investigating.

Its a one-time thing for now, but it got me scared. especially since I am currently having another issue with the phone (its crashing and rebooting randomly).

I saw your post in the other thread. This wouldn't have been a cause of concern in isloation but if you add your reports of system crashes and erratic behaviour, there may be something serious wrong with your phone under the surface. Would'nt be the first time this has happened to someone (at least not me).
This is exactly the kind of situation warranty is for.
I cannot profess to know what you should do next but i can only tell you what I would do faced with your situation. And that is to head to the nearest service centre and explain the issue and ask for a resolution. If that fails, escalate it upwards.
Looks like I jinxed myself by creating this post before receiving my device. Since I got it yesterday it has a very aggressive green to pink tint when slightly tilting the viewing the angel. I sent it back. The lord taketh away green tint and replaced it with this LOLzzz.
