With spring and summer coming I am looking for a WaterPROOF box that can survive falling into a pool and will protect my phone from sudden down pour of rain and keep pocket sweat from reaching the phone.
I have seen a bunch of the "bag" cases that are like carrying my phone is a 1gal ziplock, I want to avoid those.
The case does not need openings or screen function, just a box that will open so I can take the phone out and use it.
Not a must, but I would like the case to fit in my pocket.
I found a Pelican box that will fit the LG G2 dimensions and I am tempted to get one.
But before I make a final choice, does anyone know of any WaterPROOF boxes that will fit the LG G2 and keep a slim feel?
LG Dimensions: 5.45276 x 2.79134 x 0.350394 (Inches)
I sent mine to Liquipel since I use it on my motorcycle as my GPS, telephone and music command center... Works awesome and no worries about sudden downpours... Get to keep my slim case as well. The cost wasn't much more then a good waterproof box and still allows use of any case you prefer!

I really love my phone and would be devistated if I broke it so I have been thinking of investing in one. But Im worried that it will be so much heavier and bulkier. Do you guys use cases or just a protective screen which I am using.
I use a screen protector, which is a must. I got a leather belt case with the phone, which is a TyTn2, so I use that most of the time, mostly because if I pocket it my pants will most probably fall off . Anyway I dont really like using cases and am very protective of my phone, its 2 and a half months old now and touch wood does'nt have ay major scratches oterh tahn a few tiny ones on the rear panel camera glass that tends to scratch easily, I;ve cut another screen protector and used it as a protector for the glass now to limit the damage.
Look in accys;

Already read that I just wanted to have a poll to see what most folks use.
Just the protective screen that came with it. That's all I use. Occasionally I will put it in that case that came in the box, but otherwise I just keep it in my pocket, and clean it with a Microfibre cloth at night.
I always use cases for expensive phones/PDA's the difference is I dont have any major OR minor scratches on my TYTN II its completely free of any scratches and i plan on keeping it that way. When it comes time to upgrade I will have a prestine TYTN II to sell and get the most possible for it.
pocket is my case
i dont use a case.. reason being i have at&t and a 1yr warranty.. if i so much as nick my phone with my keys i call and cry til they send me a new one.. and i always ALWAYS get a full kit each time so that i get a new phone + 2 new stylus! and new battery! never had a issue yet.. i have 8 stylus for this phone and 4 batterys!
I have a metal case. It doesn't make the device a lot bigger, maybe about 0,5cm or so... It's really well protected in there. They only thing i don't like about the case is that it blocks the GPS signal big time. With the case on it finds like 1 or 2 satellites. Without the case, about 6 of 7.

Me too.
I used the screen protector when I had my Charmer/ MDA Compact II, until it became too tatty.
I was going to replace it, never got around to it but never got a scratch.
When I got my Vario III, I didn't even bother with the screen protector.
No problems as yet, I haven't chucked it onto concrete like I did with its predecessor every other month, maybe that's something to do with it.
I've got a Tilt which doesn't come with a case, or headphones, or screen protector...
I'm using the case from my Qtek S100 which I'd been using for 2.5 years until the Tilt replaced it.
I just find cases bulky and impractical - unfortunately. But a case just doesn't fit my image, as I'm not a businessman. And I do believe image is important
I've just got the plastic/leatherette thing that came with the phone. I don't usually bother with cases any more. I used to, then stopped bothering shelling out the bucks for one as I never really damaged the phone more than a couple of scratches. I use this one now cos it came with the phone, otherwise it would be in my pocket.
I carry mine in my pocket without a case!
I bought one of each case from Pdair.com
Then finally made my choice : the black Alu is my prefered by far.
Krussel leather. Definitely makes it larger to carry, but worth it for the protection and is of high quality. Wear cargo shorts or use the belt clip (which admittedly feels kind of dorky). Krussel also has a ton of accessories, some of which I use - car holder, etc.
I use a leather one. Its actually made for a blackberry, but i use it because i already had it, it fit except the magnet clip didnt quite make it all the way down, and i couldn't find any others that i liked.
Seidio is the best case around. The clip is also very good too.
I have plenty of cases and use none of them.
I can't really find one that I like.
I don't want to put my phone in a case that I operate the phone in. Those invariably don't fit into my car holder and make the thing too bulky to fit into my pocket.
Of the belt cases I have looked at, only the Vaja offers what I want - a low-profile belt loop instead of a clip, but I think the design of their "Classic Horizontal" case - which the Tilt fits - is less than attractive.
BoxWave has a case for the Jesus Phone that I really covet. It has black, soft leather, a magnetic clasp and belt loops, not some giant clip which would make the rather girthy Kaiser protrude further from my belt than anything I am comfortable with in public. But, they don't make it for the Kaiser, yet.
Here's that link...it's the horizontal one...http://www.boxwave.com/products/dlpouch/apple-iphone-designio-leather-pouch_2661.htm
Thanks for all the feedback, does everyone here have insurance on your phones?

How's it on the phone. Starting to hate my ballistic.

I bought a gel case that looks very similar for about a dollar on amazon a while back. It works really well except for one *supremely annoying* trait that most likely only affects me. I keep my thrill and my cigarettes in my left front pocket. The gel case (and I think it's pretty much *all* gel cases) sticks like glue to the cellophane on the outside of the cigarette pack. If I pull out my phone, my smokes pop out of my pocket too (slightly annoying) and if I pull out my cigarettes, my phone goes tumbling out of my pocket and onto the concrete floor. Fortunately, the gel case did a great job of keeping those tumbles from damaging the phone.
I went back to amazon and found a "hard" case for really cheap (< $5) that doesn't seem to have this same issue. A bonus of the hard case is that the buttons are exposed and easier to use than they are through the gel case.

You should look into a polymer case. They are smooth and don't grab in your pocket but are flexible and take a hit better than a hard case. The go by TPU or NGP. I got mine on ebay for $7 andbit came with home charger car charger and screen protector. These are by far my favorite and only case I will use after the grabby rubber cases and pointless hard cases.

I've had mine for about a month now, and its been holding up fine so far. But then again, I don't usually abuse my phone.
I've had mine since September and it's great, no issues.

i used to use a tpu case for mine but it kept triggering the bug report thing by pressing both volume keys and the power button whenever i woke up the phone. i stopped using it and realized i dont really need a case for it. ive dropped it a couple times and surprisingly nothing happened. the back does get scratched but im willing to live with that.
I have a case mate as wel and happy with it!
I use mercury hard gel case. I like the fact that it doesn't cover the buttons and still provides good drop and scratch protection

I've used CaseMate POP case but i think it's a bad case. I don't like POP case. Now i'm using a Momax iCase & it's a great case.
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA
I have been using the Case-Mate POP case for about 6 months. It has been great protection and even some added girth for my rather large hands. I have one or two cracks, but that is from me constantly taking the phone in and out of the case to un-brick or flash or something else that would require a battery pull. The other aesthetic note is the rubber around the edge (keeps the phone in the case as well as provides a bit of grip when placed on a table face down) is a bit worn. It doesn't look terrible but its there.
Overall the case is amazing, and people who say its bad had a bad experience with it and/or broke it themselves. Afterall, these are phones and not military grade Samsung Ruby Smarts here!!!
If you want a 100% shatterproof case, wait for the Otterbox case (that was announced last year). This is a great case and has both protection (plastic) and grip (rubber) and adds a bit to the phone w/o losing its sexiness.
I got my wife to be one in pink and she loves it. She has had it about the same amount of time and the only wear hers has is some scratches from her purse (she isn't into flashing roms).
I have a case-mate pop. It's a very sturdy case. The only thing that I think people might have a problem with is that it adds a little bit of 'bulk' to the phone.
I've been using the below Case-Mate Pop for almost a year now. It basically goes everywhere in a outside coat/jacket pocket or cargo pants pocket. Been in the sun, rain, cold and snow of TGWN and keeps on ticking The SNS itself still looks new.
The case is a good firm construction that feels good in your hand and handles a drop from chest height no problem. Only downside is with the tight fit of the case in the beginning. Once broken in, say about 8 mths down the road, the power button area stretches and the corners start to show some wear. This wear and tear so to speak is mostly from taking the case off. These areas get under turned when one puts the case on so you have to flip them up once the case is seated to get the fit
Overall it's a great case for the active outdoor person who doesn't want to worry about destroying their SNS phone/computer investment. Cost $25 CDN
I highly recommend the Seidio Active X Case. I am very protective of my phone too and I feel very safe having this case.
It's very similar to the Otterbox Commuter Case series for several phones. The case doesn't cause much more bulkiness and has a very nice feel imo (to some it may be a little slick). The case covers both the volume and power button but leaves the headphone jack and usb port open for ease.
You can check out reviews on youtube.

any recommeded?
I have no G4 at the moment.. Just want to buy one. The availability of a waterproof case makes the difference. Lifeproof planned to build one for s6.. But right now g4 is my favorite buy.
I suppose at this point you need to look for a universal case such as this one http://www.amazon.com/JOTO-Universa...Motorola/dp/B00LBK7OSY/ref=zg_bs_9375358011_1
Up to 30 meters and fits phones up to 6 inch diagonal - if it fits the iPhone 6+, it'll fit the G4
There's tons of them on Amazon but that one looks like it's the bestseller with a very good rating.
I would like a lifeproof-like one

Please post your link when you recommend.
@sever-barre
Are you reading through your thread?
I posted a link of a bag case. You think maybe he was referring to that?
Okay, will visit it
If you don't want to spend $100, Tanga sells universal velcro pouches. I capsized a canoe last weekend and it saved my phone. They are cheap but they work and for that price, you don't care if you lose them. At 2 for $9, you really can't go wrong.

Hi!
Anybody seen something similar to this?

for LG G4? Waterproof case would be awesome. I hate those bags so I don't even look at them
this might be an option

I have the Joto pouch linked in this thread for my G4. The transparent window fits the G4 size perfectly. It is thick enough that you could put in a few credit cards and cash or key. Now the bad part is that the touch screen works well as long as the bag is dry. As soon as you go underwater or if the bag is really wet, the touch screen is mostly unresponsive. You might get lucky and get a few touches in but definitely no swiping action. I could use the camera by double tap the down volume button and take pics using the down volume button, but that's about it. If you are looking to check your email under water, forget about it. Oh and because you cannot tap to focus, the underwater pictures do not come out that great. Here is a pic of my pool vacuum in action.
This universal waterproof case http://www.witrigs.com/universal-waterproof-case-for-smart-phone-acid-blue is what i am using. And it's cheap now.

This case is NOT waterproof. I bought it from Amazon, which stated it was waterproof and I knew it wasn't to begin with because I had the same case for my LG G2. It is, however, one of the most durable cases I have ever owned.
Does the case can floating on the water?

Does the case can floating on the water?my girl friend buy a case for iphone 6 and her waterproof case cannot floating on the water...
Hard to find a waterproof case for G4,otterbox and arozell Tank could be a solution, yet from my experience both are not water-resistant instead waterproof, the difference is waterproof support diving into water and water resistance is for unexpected water such as rainwater and water splashing, so firstly you have to get to make it clear that what exactly your request.
Besides, lovemei powerful could be another solution for water-resistant,yet the love mei case would be a little bit akward with its triple protective design, some one may think there comes a bulky, yet its performance on protection is outstanding if you don't care the additional bulky as well as tiny mobile signal missing.
Arozell Tank: http://www.arozell.com/lg-g4-tank-armor/
Otterbox Defender: http://www.otterbox.com/en-us/lg-g4/defender-series/lgx2-g4.html?dwvar_lgx2-g4_color=20

Has anyone found something. I routinely check around each payday but after going through tons of "waterproof" cases which are actually "water resistant" and not waterproof... I'm not looking for a bag, but a case...
This is my review of this case:
http://www.amazon.com/Artech-21-Pre...pebp=1434509354305&perid=0DNW5VXVBZBQGB76YN49
Build:
This case has a build quality when it comes to leather that surpasses most of the other $10 "Leather" cases you find, this is like buying a Leather Couch from a leather only store vs buying a leather couch from your big box store. Alot of leather now days is just leather with plastic backing. This is 100% Leather and can tell by the way it smells, and if water gets on its the spot gets a little darker but than goes away.
Design:
My only design flaw I could find with this case is that it doesn't hold a full size bill, and no front speaker cutout. I love that it has a thumb hole for your DL our ID, plus I have found since the G4 is curved you can really throw 2 cards in every slot and it still sits flat. This was my biggest issue with my Note 4 when I tried a wallet case it could never really sit flat, with the LG G4 most of your cards just sit in the contour of the screen. It also makes texting on a desk easy if you flip the back over, no more rocky phone.
Protection:
All in all I haven thrown my phone with this case but I do notice with the two magnet clasps it stays shut a lot better than most wallet cases I have used in the past. I would say it should protect your phone pretty decent unless you run over it with a car.
All in all I would give it a 9.5/10 with half a star missing for the no front speaker cutout.
thanks , did you leave us amazon review yet ? and any photo to amazon ?
