Hi, Im new to Windows mobile 6 world and i wanted to know how to make a complete rom backup of my kaiser. I wnat to start tweaking my unot, and installing and playing with the different roms posted in the forum but first i want to be sure i will be able to go back to the original version. Is posible to do this? Can I completly ruin my Kaiser by installing a bugged rom or by having problems when flashing a new rom?
thanks in advanced!!!!
Hi
iv try'd to upgrade the rom via Update Service 2.10.5.11 (i have windows 7 64bit ) and it says
upgrade rom code error
its an vodafone X1i stock firmware... dont know what happand
it stops at 19%\10\0% and says "installation failed please disconnect phone and make sure that the battery is fully charged before trying again if the problems presists contact support"
i'v try'd this couple of times and again the same ****!
the battery was charged all night!
the same thing over and over again!
SEUS is the biggest piece of crap software I know, I never succeeded in updating my X1 with 1 try.
You can minimize the chance for errors by:
- make sure al the drivers for your phone are installed (the one when you connect to the pc in bootloader mode and the one when you booted your phone)
- don't run any apps in the background
- make sure you phone is connected with activesync before running SEUS
- make sure your phone isn't hardSPL'ed and running the original stock ROM (the one it came out the box with)
if by meaning "make sure your phone isn't hardSPL'ed" u mean that
the phone is with the stock firmware ? if it helps its vodaphone's stock firmware.
i know that its very anoying but can some one guide me what to do to fix the phone?
im a bit afraid to do that its my firms WinMob based phone and i dont want to brick it...
yet!
and no more double posting from now on pls
sry
wont happ'n again
hope so...

Hello, I hope not to bother them with this question, but I am very confused, I have already consulted much in different forums: which differentiates between NODO and flash, I have a HTC HD7 device and need to know if FLASH and update NODO is the same, if after I upgrade to node I can run a released ROM Spanish to my phone? my phone is Tmobile; or will I have to deal with the system of Goldcard? thanks and I hope to answer
NoDo is the Windows Phone 7 updated OS......Flash im guessing you mean flashing the phone with a rom.........u check this thread to get an idea...... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1001019
Nodo Is an Official Windows Phone 7 Update from Microsoft.
Flash means you install the OS for your phone. Like you install Windows for your PC, but we call it "Flash A ROM" for a Phone. It basicly has the same meaning, "Install the OS for the device", just different in the way we call it.
Anytime you installd a new Update for your phone, you have "flashed" your phone. With Windows Phone 7, you don't have to flash it manually, you have Zune flash your phone for you.
BTW, "Flash" your phone is a dangerous job, make sure you do exactly every single step if you don't want to turn your phone into the most beautiful brick you have ever had.
Hello guys,
First of all i would like to thank you folks for doing this job for people like me. XDA is a great developer thread!
I recently (about a week ago) purchased a new Sony Xperia X1 and thanks to XDA i installed Android on the device. The flashing went perfect, no issues.
Recently i got some errors regarding the Android software so i wanted to flash back the WM stock, and here is where is f... up.
I downloaded all the tools, SPL , stock rom and stuff and accidentaly flashed the original SPL before the stock rom. So now i`m stuck with Android and the original SPL. I searched for 3 hours now how to get past this but i feel like there is no answer. Maybe you guys you can help me out. I would really like to get back to stock rom maybe you could help me.
Thank you for your posts in advice!

Solution
I managed to work out.
All you need to do is to flash a STOCK rom. This will get back your phone to original state, then you can HARDSPL and flash a custom rom.
This can be a solution for those who has 262/260 error or img file flashing stuck at 0% or "Loading".
Here is an image i could find after several hours of searching:
[Later-i cant post it yet because i`m a new user. PRV Me for the link]
I hope it helps somebody.
no need hspl
