I posted some pictures and links to a Nexus 5 desktop dock option I bought here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2719871
It works well at my office but not at home where I like to use my phone as a bedside alarm clock. I wanted something I could use without having to remove the Dot View case. I found these and am quite pleased for $5:

i just bent a paperclip to hold open the case. So you open the case all the way so its flush to the back and then set it in the bent paperclip. the tension of the case trying to close on the paper clip keeps the phone upright. Id take a picture but my only camera is my phone
This is why I love this site...Everyone is always improvising!

well, i got the body glove case that comes with the kickstand. put the little round thing on the back of the case that used for the kickstand, but dont use the kick stand. go get a cb radio mic mount. the one i have is small and fits pretty much anywhere in my truck. i don't have any pictures of it right now but i'll get some tomorrow if anyone wants to see it.

Hello guys,
I plan to get a case like this so it would cover almost every surface of my device. My concern is, by getting this case, would I be able to charge my phone using the dock?

No, that won't fit. You have to remove it every time.

The dock is a very tight fit I just remove my gel cover each time
PS that cover looks to me like it could interfere with the camera - it's quite thick
I am a manual/CNC machinist here in Houston Texas and could not for the life of me find any decent stand for my line of work. So I made one with a Noga Flexible arm magnetic base and attached the backing of an old indicator I had and mounted it in the RooCase i had bought. here are some pics and i plan on making a nicer one later on.

Love it, and that's a very good idea. I could use something like that for my desk, which officially has no room left on it.

A Orion Mounting Bracket and a 11" Magic Arm with Clamp and you are all set.
Alrighty folks. Was watching tv show on my Veetle app but have always hated the viewing angle because I have to lay it flat on the table. Then for some magical reason, I was hit with this "geniusosity" and made this. It literally took no less than 10sec to make with little to no cost at all. Hope you all enjoy

So.. I got my new case from Tetded.
Upon my first try, I noticed that the screen didn't turn off when the flap is close.

Instead, the screen was closed when I open the flap all the way back.
and open again when I removed the flap from the back.
Also, you seems to be able to pry the leather open at the edge.
I believe this is due to the magnet position in the case. Not sure if it's because it was incorrectly positioned or they weren't designed for the smart cover function at all.
Anyway, I contact them and they issued me a refund via Paypal and another apologize email. They didn't explain anything though so I'm not sure if this happen on all units.
