[MOD] Mods for AOSP+ Rom v1.2

Here are my current mods for AOSP+ ROM. I will be updating these with every build. Let me know if there are any other mods you'd like to see and I will see what I can do.
All mods are installable via flashable zip.

How to get native tethering on any ROM

i found this somewhere, not sure where, and couldnt find it again and it is an awesome piece of info, so yeah. if anyone finds the post, tell me so the mods can delete this thread

i found it awhile back and just copied the text into notepad for future reference.. just added the quote tags since i didnt say it so yeah..

If you click the little arrow pointing to the right beside cruzin's name in the quote, it will take you to the post you quoted.....

What arrow are you referig to? And I told you I copied and pasted so it obviously will if it was in the original post

Does this work on odexed roms? I always thought you had to be deodexed in order to enable native hotspot.

Great ressource! I'm on Cyanogenmod10 and wifi tethering connects, but no internet is transmitted. Will try this as soon as I get home!

It might be your internet as tethering works for me..

Yes, the problem probably is somewhere else. Is it possible that cyanogenmod is made for the AT&T version and because that I'm on Rogers in Canada tethering doesn't work?
I tried Foxfi and it doesn't work either...

I got MyXperia(TM) via OTA today and its a stolen phone locator service from Sony https://myxperia.sonymobile.com
It has GPS location shown on a map-, "lost my phone message" on lock-screen, 60 second sound/alarm push, lock the device and erase phone and memory card.
I think it works well so far.
Install as regular apk or change your custom no# 1268-6904 in build.prop and get it via OTA.
Ps. Why do you take it from here and call it your own leak?

You could also try fetching the APK from your /system/app directory.

Just put it in data/app and set permissions.
EDIT: You can just install it.

If possible, please post apk so we can give it a shot.

I think that has been answered now.

Phone didn't show initial answer posted above.

from Sony website:
"...my Xperia is not activated on the device. Note! Find my Xperia is currently available as a pilot offering to Xperia™ users in the Nordic countries."

Install the apk that was posted, and activate through the menu item that has been repeated several times.

Just curious if there are any developers for the sprint version? I saw the other m8 forums getting quite a bit of attention, just curious if anyone has any information on custom Roms heading this way.

Great minds are working on things. With the kernel source just released development should start picking up.

Awesome! Got the phone on impulse and did not see if anyone was getting into the development and was not aware when the source was released. I'm glad to hear this, I'm not one of the people that push for ETA's so I didn't want to come off the wrong way!

usually when everything is quite that's a very good sign. That means that devs are doing their thing and by the look of it. They are the kind of devs that don't release half done roms. That's always good for us.
So lets just be patient and enjoy the ride.

Good question. Technically it should work since he's using the stock Sprint U firmware on the U1. But he didn't respond so we can't be sure
