Toggle between 12/24 hour clock? - Samsung Gear 2 Neo

Somehow on my watch I accidently changed the clock from 12 hour to 24 hour now I can't find the setting to change it back.. Does anyone know where I can find it?

Had same problem. Walked throught watch settings and didn't found anything. Seems this depends from your phone settings, but from exactly I dont know. I have done first initialization with local shop live demo unit (Galaxy S5) and got myself 12-hour clock, even changed clocks language. Then at home got my second initialization (after reset) with Galaxy S2 with CyanogenMod 11 and "voila" clock shows now 24-hour clock, maybe because I have it that way on S2 too.

And its not in the manual but I somehow got to that option.. I had to reset the watch for it to go back to 12 hr

My Neo has used 24hr clock out of the box. I think it's because that's how I set up my S4. It copied the setting from the phone. I can't find a setting on the watch to adjust it.

I ended up figuring it out.. Double tap with 2 fingers brings up the settings. I don't think that is clearly explained in the manual

Double finger tap brings up settings, double finger tap and hold brings up task manager.

pinch the clock with two fingers and a settings menu will popup.

With the digital clock on the screen, tap the screen once with two fingers. The 24 hr setting and the day setting will appear. Tap the 24 hr ribbon with one finger to change it bak to 12 hr. Then tap the settings ribbon with one finger and the digital clock will reappear.

In my case I had to go to Date and Time in my Note5's settings and turn on/off the 24 hour option. Tapping the screen with two fingers didn't work for me.

Music lockscreen issue

I've decided to use the music lockscreen as it allows instant access to my music when getting in the car etc.
However, earlier today it decided to freak out - I'd wake the phone up, the screen would come on then go out and repeat this cycle for a while until defaulting to the standard lockscreen.
However, in the options, music lockscreen was still selected. Turns out none of the specialist lockscreens are now working. All i can ise is either default or no lockscreen.
Any ideas for a cause/solution?

might be as simple as turning the phone off an back on
I went to turn it off and back on but thought I'd check it again before doing so. It was fine, guess the phone just had a silly moment!

You can't get rid of the time and weather info on the lockscreen by changing them in settings, ViperROM is the only ROM that even has a Mod in it to allow you to hide the lockscreen weather and clock.
That's not the problem. But there is only the weather and clock, even if I choose music (no music control) productivity (still the cloud an clock only) and pictures don't show either

Blinkfeed Questions

Is it possible to only display weather from a location I've set? Every refresh defaults back to "current location"
When clicking the weather icon, is it possible to change out of 24hr time?

For the clock, go to clock and you must be in the world clock screen. Go to settings/local time settings and you can select or uncheck 24 clock. Go to home settings and you can search and select your home city.
For weather, open up weather and go to settings and turn off update my location.

I think he's talking about something different. Even I open my weather app and look at the hourly forecast, it's in 24 hour first.
As far as I know, there is no way to change this, annoying as it is.

[Q] Lock screen issues

Whenever I set up my phone with any sort of security, it keeps going back to swipe to unlock. If I try the PIN option, it only asks for a PIN when it first boots up. Once its up and running and I go to lock and unlock the screen, it says swipe to unlock. It does the same when I set up pattern, face, face with voice, pin, and password security. It always just goes back to swipe to unlock. I got this phone for my girl and I'm trying to convince her to switch to Android because she's a avid Apple user and uses PIN on her phone now and it works fine. She'll never accept this new phone if I can't even get this simple feature to work for her. The phone is stock no root nothing. All I did was throw some apps in for her. Am I missing something here? This works fine on my LG Optimus G Pro that's rooted but I can't for the life of me figure out why it wont work on the Active that's not rooted. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks guys.
Okay it seems to ask for the PIN when I leave the phone idle for a few minutes. Isn't it supposed to work as soon as I lock and unlock? Say I lock the screen and set it down for a sec and decide to pick it back up again to unlock it, shouldn't it ask for the PIN right away? If I don't give it time it doesn't bother asking to verify PIN. This phone is great and I'm so tempted to get a regular S4 for myself but issues like this irritate me to no end.
Go into Settings > Lock Screen > set it up how you want it > "Secured Lock Time" and check "Immediately"

This is strange, I'd like my phone to do just that. Require a PIN if I leave it locked for an hour, and default to swipe if it's within the hour so I can use lock screen widgets.
Could you get the swipe to appear when you lock it with the power key, or just when you left it for a minute?

From what I understand the timmer on the option my-blue-snog-box mentioned doesn't start till the lockscreen is active so it'll goto the swipe screen if you hit the power button or you leave it sitting and and autolocks.

Do you have Tasker? You can do it with the Secure Settings plugin (might need donate version).

there r 2 settings...screen off timeout and lock timeout after screen off.
the longest lock timeout is 30 minutes.
if the screen is off, pressing the home button before lock timeout will on the screen without any lock, not even swipe.
under settings, screen timeout is under display section while lock timeout is under lock screen section.
Hey @staverton, PM me. I'll make you a Tasker profile (or a little app so you don't need Tasker if you don't have it), but you need to let me know exactly what you want it to do.

I fixed this using Night Mode from Play apps
This happened to me. I read on another forum that someone fixed this by installing "Night Mode" from Google Play apps and toggling the app to be ON, then toggling it to be OFF. I did this, and immediately my auto brightness slider and toggle box were back in the notifications panel.
Hope this helps anyone else searching for a fix for this problem.

I can confirm that "Night Mode" app fixed the very same issue on my Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini.
Thanks

Samsung Pay Launch Widget (SOLVED)

My Samsung Pay launch widget is gone (the one you swipe up from the bottom of your phone to make a payment). Anyone else have this problem?

Are you using an adb command to hide the nav bar? Can you still swipe up with the screen off?

No, hadn't used any adb commands. I can swipe up from my lock screen as usual, but that's never been on that screen. From the always-on display, that's a 'no', but again that widget doesn't appear on that screen.
Just two days ago I saw this and enabled the feature. As you can see, this setting is now greyed out! That's not a good sign. I've tried toggling the setting off and rebooting, but no change. I can still use Samsung Pay, but I have to open the app itself.
I've also toggled all the of these off and on, no change. In gonna turn them off, reboot, then see if I can enable them again.
Well that didn't work either! Grrrrr...does not show up!!!
That is super weird. Yeah I dunno, I had a similar issue but it was because of a gestures app hiding the navbar
I remember the Samsung pay thing at the bottom of my screen also. I think it disappeared or I disabled it. Forgot which .

You have to have Home Screen access turned on within Pay to use the swipe up fingerprint gesture

I had that same issue and I believe the fix was to add your card to favorites in the Samsung Pay App.
