In notification's (mail, sms, whatsapp) there is no reply button to use a message template, S Voice or emoticons.
Only 'show on device' and 'delete' when you tab the button at the right high corner of the screen.
At the end of the message only 'show on device'.
Any suggestions please?

I havent seen a reply option for anything except SMS. The best option it seems is to turn on "Smart Relay" which in essence, if you are looking at a notification on your watch, and pick up your phone, your phone will automatically show the relevant item. This requires "Motion" to be turned on on the phone, i have a note 3.
Are you using Hangouts or Gmail? You can only use Samsung native apps in order to reply. I refuse to use the email application so I just get gmail notifications without ability to reply.

Yes, you can all laugh at me...
I seem to have installed an sms app, which gives me a pop up window, when a new sms arrives.
I have disabled notify in stock messaging app and in chompsms. Handcent is activated but this gives me another pop up.
The unwelcome sms pop up is a grey square with white outline. It has 3 white buttons at the bottom with "Auto response with busy message", "Reply" and "Dismiss". It shows the message and the sender with a small picture above the buttons.
Please help me to identify the app, I want to uninstall it.
i may be wrong, but i think SMS morse does this as one of its options, try checking for that
thanks, but i never installed this one. It has to be something I installed, maybe backed up and now it stays as a residue, I can't see in the installed apps.
You may have SMS Popup installed, this what I have and it works the way you have described it
It is Contact Blast
I'm fairly certain it's the sms popup as said above. It's a feature in handcent. Go to options in Handcent and disable the popup.
Running CM7+Glitch
I cannot seem to find how to make my phone vibrate when I recieve a text message, or have the message notification display on top of apps when I'm in a other app. (e.g. the only way for me to see if I have a message is to go back to the desktop)
Any help here would be appreciate
Does anyone know if it's possible to get the name of the sender to appear in the notification pop up instead of just the word message or what's app or Snapchat. I've gone through the settings and only managed to get what's app to appear but only and instant reply with the message as well. Any help would be much appreciated.
Go into face unlock settings in security. Turn off smart lock. That should help.
Thanks
Hi thanks that has see ed to have sorted the issue. But is there a way of not having the actual message show just the name of the sender??
In my S8 I was using messages version 4.4.30.50 and it had the ability to schedule text message. I don't see that in S10. If it's truly not there, do you guys know of text msg app I can switch too that gives scheduling?
Yes, the option to send schedule messages is still there.
Go to messages app, open a conversation (or start new one by selecting the contact and when selecting the box to input the message) select the plus sign and select "Schedule Message".
Thanks got it!

On my old Galaxy S10 I was able to mute an SMS conversation. (My siblings will sometimes get into a chat convo, lasting hours. And since we're in different time zones, their conversations might occur while I'm sleeping.)
Now that I've got a Galaxy S23+, I'd like to do the same thing. Only, it doesn't appear that I can. Tapping on the 3 vertical bars to the right of the conversation title, I see things like Delete Messages, Search Messages, Notification sound, Category, Customize chat room, Share attachments, and Group Conversation. But I do not see a Mute conversation.
(BTW, what is "Group conversation"? And why is it the only one with a sliding button?)
What app are you using, Google Messages? If so, it can be done:
Open conversation
3-dot menu in upper right - choose Details
choose Notifications
select Silent

Thank you for your response. That is working well.
However, is there a way of also stopping the vibration too? I'm getting that even though I've silenced the messaging group. (Yes, I'm using Google Messsages.)
