Get phone in Safe Mode: Turn it off, turn it on again and when Samsung logo appears press vol up and vol down until the device finish booting (You will see a square below in the screen saying "Safe Mode") then try to swipe down and see if it's working. If works, it's a software problem: disable any Xposed Modules (if there are) and disable root. If still doens't work, perfom a Wipe Data.
Thanks

Hello everyone!
I have a serious problem with my Wi-Fi Only Galaxy Tab. It came with Froyo out of the box and I tried installing GB via ODIN but in the middle of the process, my computer turned off because of a blackout and my tablet was in download mode with the big "DO NOT TURN OFF" warning. The process wouldn't resume after I got my computer back on and I had to turn off the Tab. The problem is that now it won't turn on, when I press the power button (long enough, about 10 seconds) the LCD turns on in black and if I let go of the power button it goes back off. Tried connecting to the PC but nothing happens, tried charging for more than 4 hours and still got nothing.
HELP PLEASE!

So to get this straight... you cant go into downloading mode or recovery? Even if it doesnt display it on the tab... try holding power and volume down while odin is open (reinstall the drivers too) If that doesnt work then I believe you sir have a hard brick and have messed up your bootloader. If that's the case i just saw a post about a service that fixes them for 50$ somewhere on the gt7 forums...
Just go to download mode again and reflash. Don't forget about battery.

I hardly belive it is fault of my unit.
I spoted it with original firmware and now ater unlock, root and revolution 2.2 (basicaly same firmware with modifications i like )
Actually i think Sony's devices get that issue. And that is because of the app is not compatible with the rom.
My solution: turn off the lock screen!

I don't think is the low battery mode, I don't have it turn on and it still have the problem, I think it is when the phone get some notifications or go to internet for data then the phone with get activated but it does not go back to total sleep mode.....
low battery mode for me. I've got it set at 15% and when it charged back to that amount the backlight turns on.
Just a glitch for me and a waiting firmware update.
Hi I really need help with my HTC one,
I came back to it while it was charging, and the screen was on displaying dialog box saying that the phone will restart in one second. I barely had time to read the text but the phone went to a full black screen with both the back button and the home button flashing. Now these two buttons are constantly flashing even though I'm not holding any of the volume or power buttons down.
So both buttons have been flashing for over an hour now and they keep going. I've tried holding down the power button nothing happens. I tried holding down the volume keys nothing happens. Power and volume down...nothing.
I need some help thanks

Sounds maybe like a hardware problem? Try holding down power button while holding the phone directly under a bright light for around 30secs. If that doesn't work try power and volume down together, again under a bright light until your bootloader screen appears.

Bright light helped,
Power button managed to get the HTC quietly brilliant screen, but then goes to black screen and back to that htc screen again and again...
Power and volume down gets me to bootloader screen but within a few seconds I get back to the same looping htc screen...
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Wait a minute...
Got passed that screen, saw my wallpaper, then it booted again...and again, and again...
Would it be because I was too anxious and went to the bootloader screen too many times?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Every time I go to the bootloader screen, I barely have time to do anything before I get back to the looping htc screen.
Now, for some reason, I got a screen with an exclamation mark in a triangle over a phone, stayed on for about two minutes, then back into the looping htc quietly brilliant screen...

Are you running everything stock? Recovery, unrooted, etc?
Sent from my HTC One using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Stock, not rooted,
How would I know if I'm in recovery...? So most likely I would guess that I wasn't, unless I am now since fiddling around the bootloader screen (like I said, on that screen I have about two seconds where I can move up or down but then I don't have time to select an option and the phone goes to the HTC screen...)

You probably weren't in recovery. Did you get the phone new or used? If your bootloader screen says **LOCKED** at the top of the screen and you got it new, if it were me I'd take it back to where I got it.
Sorry I can't help more, maybe someone else can help if they've seen this before..
Sent from my HTC One using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Got it new, says locked on top of the bootloader screen.
Factory reset at that point?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Don't ask me how but now I'm passed the booting screen and can use the phone.
BUT, both buttons are flashing...
Also, can't restart...holding the power button down won't do anything
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Like I said, if it were me I'd take it back for repair/replacement. That's not normal - especially for a device that's completely stock.

i'd try a factory reset if you can boot it.. if this does not help send it in for warranty.
How did you end up getting this fixed. I'm just getting this same problem and I have no clue how to fix it.
Ok, so i have an issue that i havent been able to find any information on. I woke up this morning, and noticed that when i pressed the back or menu button, there was no longer any kind of haptic feedback. The buttons functioned as they were supposed to, but didnt vibrate. I double checked the option for it, then disabled and re-enabled it. That didnt work, so i restarted the phone and it still didnt function.
I ended up doing a full restore and they began working. So, i haven't installed any apps or anything assuming maybe it was an app that caused the issue. I went pretty much all day and it was fine, i got home from work and all of the sudden it stopped functioning again. I just did another restore and its back. This seems more like a software issue as if it was hardware i wouldnt think the keys would work at all, and the haptic feedback works when using the keyboard and such. Has anyone else seen this issue?
BTW my phone is rooted, but i havent done anything else to it.
What was your battery level? If you have Power Saver turned on, it will turn off haptic feedback.

I was just gonna say the same thing. Power saving mode on all Samsung Galaxy devices turns off Haptic feedback completely. And if your a person who is used to haptic feedback it can feel weird when it's off. Pull down your status bar and make sure it's power saving mode is off.
I appreciate the suggestions, but this was on a completely full battery, it had charged all night. The second time it happened it was at about 65%.

Awesome! This fixed my haptic problem and weird screen dim and contrast issue. I guess PSM some how had gotten stuck on for me, although I was charged above the threshold.
It doesn't automatically turn off when you're charged. Annoying as hell.
You should change your thread title to solved.

No, I shouldn't. My problem isn't solved. I clearly stated that my issue hasn't been caused due to a battery issue. I've been fully charged. I've restarted. The only way I've been able to get it back is by a full restore. The issue occurred one more time over the weekend and it's irritating. I went to the store and they aren't wanting to help and telling me if I exchange it when they aren't seeing a problem I'll get charged the restock fee. I'll be calling support tonight I guess.

Did you turn off power saving mode after it turned itself on when your battery died down and was then recharged?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Mine was like you.
go to power saving menu and uncheck the heptic feedback check mark off.
BINGO!
years later, i've found a solution - haptic feedback intensity was turned all the way down, even with the checkbox marked, no haptic feedback is felt at that level.
how it got turned down to zero, i'll never know.
Settings > Sounds and Notifications > Vibration Intensity > Haptic Feedback Slider
...i almost warrantied my phone over this issue...
Hey so let me start off by saying that I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 but I had this problem. I was with a friend and ended up turning on my ultra power saving mode. After that my soft keys stopped lighting up and the haptic feedback stopped working as well. Something small, but extremely annoying. I couldn't find ANYTHING on the infinite labyrinth that is the Internet for some unknown reason and I was straining not to throw my phone out of the car.
However, I've just now been able to finally figure it out and so I'm hoping this post will help with that urge to snap you're smart phone. Anyways I remembered that before ultra power saving mode I had put it at the regular power saving mode. I tried turning UPSM on and off again, I restarted my phone countless times, anything else you can think of it tried. BUT what ended up finally working is turning power saving mode on, giving it a second, and then turning it off.
Hopefully that works for you too.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I've been trying to figure that out for so long. I wasn't sure because it happened on multiple roms. This time haptic feedback turns off with battery saver mode. I usually have power save on our phones don't lack performance on it. Wish I could enable haptic feedback with it on. This was the first result on Google. Thanks bro!

I have a similar problem. After I have replaced the Mainboard, the back key lose the vibration feedback. Only the back key.... Any ideas?
this is silly. i simply did the factory rest and let Google restore my apps automatically... now when i long press the power button i get only a "power off" button. it feels weirdly naked.
before i used to have airplane mode, reset, power off and what i really miss, the 3 little Burtons with silent, vibrate and something else.
how do i get that back? what dumb thing did i do to lose them?
thanks!

I'm pretty sure i had it right until i unlocked...
I'm taking about this menu. attached

OK. Your comment made me think I was crazy. So I factory reseted...
The power menu is back.
Also one Wi-Fi I was getting barely 1 bar (discovered often) now shows as full bars. With was going on?
I had zero mods and exploits. Nothing. Only unusual thing I did was update super su. But I didn't even had any app ask for permission yet besides me on the terminal reading system files...
Sent from my XT1053 using XDA Free mobile app
btw, any one has any idea of what happened? I'm now afraid of losing those buttons again. there's no way to put on silent mode without pressing volume down, which retardedly beeps and vibrates all over (exactly what one want when lowering the volume)
Sent from my XT1053 using XDA Free mobile app
No idea but you can use gravity box and change your notification tiles to have ringer mode etc.
