I would like a file/document manager, I want to copy/move pictures and documents from folder to folder.

hey, new to wm6. im using active sync explorer and for some reason some folders dont show up on my cpu but are on the phones explorer, mainly the Windows folder. can anyone exlpain this to me? i searched n found no solution, im stumped

Go into your folder options in windows explorer and tell it to show hidden and system folders.

Also, in windows vista make sure you check the option to show operating system files.
noob question here. just flashed a new ROM & i want to re-load the original ringtones but cant find the right folder to dump it.

in active sync 4.5 it was easy
Open Windows Explorer. Press ALT. You'll see a menu. Press Tools -> Folder Options. Go to the View tab. Uncheck Hide protected operating system files and also chose Show hidden files and folders. Press OK.
Now you'll be able to see the Windows folder on your PDA.
Hi, I'm a noob, so please be gentle!
I want to navigate to the "windows" folder on my Diamond.
It won't show at all on File Manager on Windows Mobile Device Centre and when I try to open it on File Explorer on the Diamond through the internal storage route, it just hangs with a blank screen and the "timer".
Can anyone shed any light please, thank you.

On your PC, you need to uncheck the "Hide protected operating system files" or you won't be able to see the 'windows' folder on your device.
If you're using Vista, open any folder such as 'My Documents':
Organize - Folder and Search Options - View tab - uncheck the above.
Don't know about XP. It's that long since I used that operating system

Normally Games automatically install into your Games Folder and Applications into your Programmes Folder.

You can certainly create and name new folders on the phone and place your files in those, or you could transfer folders from your pc to the phone with activesync. But once you click to install the cab files, you can't then choose the path to install to your folders, it'll only let you select to install to internal storage or device. Then it will install to the program files folder in either 'Internal Storage' or 'My Device.' Having said that, there might be some app or tweak around that allows you to do it.

I have files in a download folder that are taking up space on my phone.
Is it possible to copy the files to onedrive folder and then delete the files in the folder, can this be done on a daily basis as well?

Try using FolderSync app, it also works in combination with Tasker as a plugin.
