Sprint NAE PIT file - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S 4 Android Development

Here is a good NAE PIT file for anyone who needs it.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/g4vurphkhc8o83p/Sprint_NAE_L720-16GB.pit?dl=0

The md5sum of the PIT I printed from my MK2 phone has a different value than the PIT you posted, but I have used it to flash things without issue. Do the PITs change with each update (ie MK2 -> NAE)?

i have no idea what this is even for.

PIT stands for Partition Information Table, and is used in conjunction with ODIN or heimdall to flash Samsung devices. Here are two quick reads that explain the basics of PIT files. And as for my question above, it appears that the PIT file can change with new firmware releases.

I'm not sure this is ever needed except in dire circumstances.
AFAIK if you get a PIT file missing (or not found, or needed, or whatever PIT error) that just means that you need to plug your USB cable directly into the back of your computer in a port that is on the motherboard and not a hub or pci card. With the factory cable.
I've ran into a PIT error two times, and both times "fixed" it by going direct. Actually it fixed itself.
That being said... Thank you for providing it, can't hurt to download it just in case.

How does one make a PIT file tho? Im cause so I can get some of the Cricket S4 PIT files.

Use heimdall on a linux system to print your PIT file. If you're not command line savvy (like me) there is a GUI available that is pretty straightforward.
Edit: also check out this thread.

Not usually. A PIT file is just a partition information table. Usually they don't change. You should research before you use anything though bro. Message me if you need anything else.

I"m on the Sprint Note 5 now if anybody else is go to that forum.

Hey... I posted it because when you flash something you run the risk of malicious code being injected. Extra partitions contaning these malicious codes stay unless you nand erase and flash a .tar with a PIT file. This is why I provided the link. There are ton's of bad guys here. Many get banned when they are caught, but many are clever. When in doubt, nand erase the device and use a pit file with your .tar Wahlah.... I'm a helpful whitehat.

Galaxy Tab 8.9 Dangerous odd behavior??

I hope some one can help. I have never seen anything like this. I have an 8.9 GT-P7310 and its acting very strange. I have tried to Odin anything I can from stock ICS to custom recovery to stock honeycomb and stock recovery. Everything, I repeat everything fails. It looks like it will go and fails everytime. In this case I would look at it as a brick with the firmware upgrade failure message but no. All I have to do is boot it into recovery reset and it turns on. I just cant do anything :crying: Also the tab flickers red whenever I make a selection but I am out of ideas here..
I have a new Sam cable and tried all Usb ports
Make sure to turn off all the developer options. Sounds like you have USB debugging and 'Screen Flash' turned on ... at least.

Thanks for the quick reply.. Ill check it right now and report back
Edit: Odin still fails
I feel like it has a corrupted bootloader or so,
how to circumvent this?
well maybe if you use the pit file to repartition the tablet then install a boot loader from an old and complete stock honeycomb would make a difference.
you can check sammobile for a stock complete honey comb and check additional downloads for a PDF to describe how to flash using ODIN and another link to the 7300 and 7310 pit file to repartition.
after all I am not sure, but I am rather giving a shot, so you might wait for a more experienced senior user who can figure it out straight

you can find the pit file at samfirmware if you search for the tab in "firmware and files"
But I'm really not sure of this. I'm just thinking with you, so my advice is to wait some time for a senior member who can help you without guessing, because they may render the tablet unusable, so it might be abit dangerous to go for these guesses right now .

Doesnt work with the pit file either.
Have you flashed the pit file with repartition ticked?
Also after repartitoning, have you flashed the bootloader of stock honeycomb then flashed a stock honeycomb for your tablet? (@ PDA & CSC)?

Have you checked the service manual for changing the software for the tablet on samfirmware?
I read that after you flash the pit file, you should remove the battery then connect to odin and flash the bootloader, PDA, CSC files from a previous complete stock.
Please read the service manual carefully from samfirmware to check the steps accuratley.

Yea I tried that just now. No luck... I am going to read the instructions but I am sure I have done everything correctly.
Edit: I am doing everything correctly. Only the Pit will flash successfully. Since I have flashed the pit I have lost my stock recovery. Before I used to just factory reset and turn it back on now I cant..

Urgently need PIT file for Galaxy S4 Active (SGH-I537 ATT)

I have a corrupted baseband, (unknown in about screen). The latest odin for 4.3 does not include PIT file so I cannot use the reform option. Kies also does not support initializing/upgrade feature on this device. Does anyone have a PIT file for the galaxy s4 active from AT&T? I would like to try odin with PIT to see if it does anything to get my baseband back.
Also, a working QCN file with or without IMEI would be helpful as well!

I don't have a i537 myself. I can give you a pit file of my I9295 but I doubt that they are the same. Anyone with a rooted i537 can get your pit file with
Code:

PIT file for Galaxy Gear?

SO! I was unfortunate enough to download the wrong firmware file when trying to install NULL on my new gear, and instead installed Tizen :/ I would really like to go back to android. Would it be possible to downgrade using a PIT file for the watch? Or does one not exist? Any other ways people have tried downgrading? Need some insight lol. Thanks!

Need Note 4 T-Mobile PIT file

Just recently purchased a Note 4 off craiglist but didn't check if the firmware was genuine (my mistake), As I tried to root the device it stated its missing the PIT partition. Does anyone by any chance have these files? I also tried reflashing stock rom to see if that would fix the issue but the same issue comes up.

BAD ASS NOTE 4
Did you try this?
I want you to create or build your own “PIT” Re-Partition Table file using PIT Magic app, please grab it forum.xda-developers.com-thread-1916936 and then Create New PIT Files from scratch as the PIT Magic can control them and we can see the contents. Using a PIT data partition when flashing is something risky as it targets the system memory, one messed up the system memory could lead-up to undesirable outcomes, so that is why I want you to build your PIT file own, so when something might went wrong its your own creation.
Once you have your own Pit file, then proceed into flashing. Again make sure the battery is fully charge (recharge the battery using external battery charger or borrow from your neighbors Galaxy Note 4)
1. Boot the Galaxy Note 4 into download mode screen then connect to PC.
2. This time load the N910W8.pit Pit file on Odin’s PIT Button
3. Load your original stock firmware on the Odin’s PDA button.
4. Click on “Start” to flash the stock firmware and PIT file then wait.

Just fixed my Factory Mode issue. I restored ONLY the EFS from a nandroid backup I had in TWRP. Hit restore, navigate to twrp/backups select the rom of like kind (Mine was from late 2014 even but same KK rom) and then restored ONLY the EFS file and rebooted. Factory Mode error gone and it automatically connected to wifi as per usual/norm which is one of the things this Factory Mode specifically mentions. All good!!!

Count yourself lucky you cant. He hasn't stated what storage size this is made for and doesn't seem interested in replying to questions. He probably made it with pit magic and you could do the same. I looked into it and it looks easy enough but it would take quite a while to make one so I decided not to since I personally don't need it. It is very important that storage size matches your phone otherwise your 128gb phone could turn into a 32 or the reverse (you wouldn't gain any space but You would get data corruption).
