[Q] replace battery - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I see on eBay u now can buy stock HTC one(m7) battery replacements. Have any of u done this yet. I would like to. I think my battery has lost about %15 of its life sence I bought my phone. I really don't want to buy a new one cause this phone is still fast even underclocked. I want anyone's thoughts on this.

HTC HD7 Buying Questions

Hi,
I am planning on buying the HTC HD7 on contract through buymobilephones.net. I have a few questions about it before I buy it.
1. Can I get the phone unlocked straight away from o2? As its on contract.
2. Do O2 sell their screen protectors in the shops or is it just online?
3. Everyone enjoy their HTC HD7s? The screen and battery life okay?

1. Believe its normally 12 months if you are a new customer
2. yes, they are in o2 shops and cases.
I would expect to charge mine every night if you are going to give it some fairly heavy use.
The Battery is Much better than the HTC Desire for sure.
Hmmm... Is there no option to unlock the phone as soon as I get it?
Can somebody please tell me what the german O2 HD7 comes with? Leather pouch, Screen protector... Things like this?
Regards,
insi

See I'd have to disagree with you, I'd only charge my Desire once a day I charge the HD7 twice, the screen just eats the battery

Are you serious? The screen isn't that bigger and I doubt it would effect power consumption that much.
I've listened to music on the HD7 for about 4 hours and been able to make it to the end of the day without it dying. On the Desire I'd get about an hours worth of music playback anything more than that and I'd be in danger of my phone dying by the end of the day.

The only way I know of to properly screw your phone is to flash an incompatible radio, but even then I'm not sure that HTC will replace it. First time I've come across someone who actually wants to bork their phone!
Downgrade to froyo. That will completely **** it.
Edit: HTC will probably replace the motherboard, almost as good as a new phone.
For what I known (at least in my country) phones are replaced with a new one if it has less than 7 or 14 days, after that they will repair your phone...
A myth through the web say that you could screw you phone by putting it in the micro-wave for a few seconds (obviously without battery); some people tell that it's detectable, others not, others say only if you cook for long time...
Thank you guys but I want more and exact suggestions by which HTC can replace my cell not only motherboard...I m from india.
Does anyone have an exact idea and yeah one more thing how to flash a radio.

I would be carefull because if you mess up your phone htc could say that it was caused by you when you got the marks on the case as they say you dropped it even if you didn't.

I don't think its worth the trouble, of you deliberately brick it, they will either not fix it, or maybe replace the motherboard.
Maybe you can take it somewhere to get the casing replaced? You can buy that sort of stuff in eBay

No point really if there's nothing actually wrong with the phone besides cosmetic. Post a pic of the damage?
Idk how Urs in India, but Herr in Austria they just repair if phone never fell hard on the Ground or Water. My little Brother bricked his Samsung Galaxy Ace s Motherboard by flashing another Recovery. And Samsung has given us a new phone, it was rooted.

Yeah, this is what happened to my IncS. It was little less than a month old when my wife dropped it on hard ground. The ambient light sensor went berserk, and the phone would restart every few minutes. Took it to a HTC center here in B'lore, and they gave me a new IncS In fact, I was given the choice to take any HTC phone for the same price.
Good luck if you decide on doing the same

HTC IncS, now on MIUI. Was on Cyanogenmod, VirtuousQuattro RC3/4, and something else before that
so they didn't ask why the light sensor went bad ? i mean does HTC replace a handset if it is damaged due to human error or natural causes?

I never told them I dropped it But of course, unlike in your case, my phone did not have too many scratches on it. Very few, actually. The only apparent problem with it was the light sensor.

http://store.androidandme.com/samsung-standard-1440mah-battery-oem/8A37A5409.htm
I look that mine i9023 bat is ab653850cu and this one is ca in the end. Is there a problem? I really think they must almost be the same but has someone experienced using this one?
Thanks for the effort!
It states that the battery is an original Samsung(OEM) battery so it be the same battery as the one you currently have.

Where to buy Original HTC Salsa Battery?

Hi Mates,
I had some issues with my htc salsa's battery so I bought a new one from local vendor (As it was not available at HTC service center).
But that battery also didn't work for long and starts bulging so I remove it from my phone and now again I have to buy a new battery.
Can anyone guide me from where to buy it?
Thanks in advance

If you're happy with M7, you're gonna be extatic with the 10. IMO, it's a waste of money to buy a 3 years old phone no matter how cheap it is

You can get used M7's for ~40-50€ and still get a used M10 in 1-2 years for maybe a quarter of what you have to pay now! Haven't met anyone sofar who really needs the specs of a 2016 highend phone!
The M8 is pure genius, I love that phone. You can root it and put a ported M10 Rom on it. Yep I would suggest the M8.
