When I plug in my headphones you get the headphone helper in the status bar. Is there a way to disable this or change it?
I use play music only and it's not even one of the options.

This little bar was driving me nuts too. You can turn this off by going to Settings --> Notification Panel --> Recommended Apps--> Turn Off

I am sure some of you may already know this. But this is for those of you who haven't.
If you use a custom rom and find power widget not showing up properly, you don't actually have to reboot the phone to get it working. Just play a little with the display settings. What I did was turn off automatic brightness in settings>display and turn it back on. The power widget should now show up properly
Turn on wifi over status bar and it will show the icons on the power widget.
Thanks to share that information...

You can use some launchers from market to do so..
Thanks for the tip. At least I know where to begin with.
An update. If you use checkrom, there is a switch in quicksettings panel to do that.
Hi,
on installing the Null_18-ROM I set the Checkbox for "THE FULL SYSTEMUI" in Aroma-Installer. After that I got the Notification Bar, which was very nice. But on the other side the Double Tap for Brightness/Sound was disappointed.
Because of that I installed the ROM new without "THE FULL SYSTEMUI". The double tap now works again, but I have no Notification Bar.
Is it possible to reinstall only the Notification Bar? Or is there a way to activate it on Nova Launcher? I've looked for but I didn't found it.
Thx forward.
I'm not certain if that's possible, but a workaround is to put a brightness toggle widget on your home/lockscreen. That's been working pretty well for me.

There is no way to have them both, but check out my tutorial on an option and see if that will work for you

I was playing around with tasker and you can also assign a gesture in Nova to a tasker "task" that toggles between torch and normal.
The task could look something like:
1) Auto Brightness -- Set Off
2) Variable Add -- Name %BTOG Value 1
3) Display Brightness -- Level 30 -- If %BTOG Is Even
4) Display Brightness -- Level 255 -- If %BTOG Is Odd
Let me know if you're interested and I can go into more detail.
Thanks a lot for reply
@almulder1092
Maybe I'll try your way.
The Notification Bar is nice to have but not a must have
I have been noticing that if I turn up my volume when headphones or external speaker is plugged in, it automatically goes down. Im looking to rip out whatever is not allowing my volume to go up loud. Anyone have any ideas where I can start looking? I have a rooted VM Desire 510 with factory kernel and ROM. I have booted a kernel before that was not write protected and removed a bunch of bloatware and unneeded system apps.

Try using Bass Booster by Desaxed Studios from the Play Store after you install it open it up then tap the wrench in the top right corner and make sure that you uncheck Show Status Icon and Auto Detect Presets then tap the back in the upper left corner and tick the equalizer box and move the sliders up to the full top and then change them down to your likings..

Thanks! So far that app is working... I was using volume equalizer something and when I went to turn up the eq settings, my other levels would auto turn down and my max volume would diminish.

I hated that app terribly! That's the first one I tried and was like fk that it's not worth it!!
Next to find primers on modifying a kernel... Thanks again
There used to be option to switch between audio output - phone and Bluetooth. It's not there anymore. It was in notification bar, after swipe down. How can I switch output now?
You need Smartthings for this.
If it's already installed try to remove cache and data of this app.

Open the smart things app, oven the settings (☰ on the left, then the ⚙). Check if "Smartthings Panel" is enabled (first entry).

Yes it's enabled. It does show in notification bar. But how do I switch from bluetooth to phone (when in music or call)?

I attached a screenshot of the Smartthings bar. It's in German, but it should be clear.
You need to tap on "Output" (or similar) and choose between BT device or smartphone.
It wasn't showing up yesterday, not sure why, but it works today, thank you
