I have an ATT Device a Verizon device and two tablets.
All Samsung except for the Nexus 7.
What's the best way to achieve calling calling through wifi? What's the best app?
I'm aware of Skype and Google Voice I guess.
Is ATT ever considering turning this feature on like T mobile and Sprint?

They dont need it, simple as that. The average user has no trouble getting an AT&T signal inside their home. T-Mobile is another story, due to their high frequencies which do not travel far.
I guess I never thought of it like that. But that makes perfect sense.
T mobile and Sprint have the worst signal lol

Like the title says. T mobile tab flashed over to euro rom to allow phone access.
I put my att sim in and it says att in the notification bar says att but i get little to no service. If it does get edge it dissapears a second later. Could this possibly be because of a bad unlock if that exists.
A side note. I am using a new 4g att sim in the tab would that make a difference

You did not mention if you checked the APN settings. I am not sure if the TMOUS AWS band is the problem on ATT.
Sorry, yes i did check the apn settings. But would the tab still show att if it wasnt unlocked. Maybe my unlock didnt take.

And just to add some info. When i first put my sim in it took a while to get service then it started to junp around frequencies. Edge then gprs then hsdpa and now nothing

Figured out the problem the unlock did not take

You do relize that Edge speeds will probably be all you get for data FYI.

You will not get 3G since att 3G operates at a different frequency than tmobile. However you should be getting edge.
I am having the exact same problem with the unlock ? How did u get it to work exactly
Does straightalk support mobile hotspot?.. I currently have my Note on gophone but would prefer the cheaper prices on straightalk but i wouldnt want to lose the mobile hotspot feature...thanks
I've used the mobile hotspot and have had no problems on straight talk. I was switching internet providers so didn't have cable internet for 7 days
Turn on my mobile hot spot from the note and I was good to go with my laptop.

Is anyone else finding that their phone will not connect to LTE?
I did *#*#4636#*#* and tried to change it from WCDMA Preferred, but it does not allow me to do so.

zero issues with ATT in the wilkes-barre/scranton pa vicinity.
doubt that helps yo though.
Southern Connecticut area here. Is yours set to WCDMA preferred as well?

Mine is set to lte/GSM auto and will connect to 4G lte when I am in a city with it. Montana has only a few cities with lte and mine is surprisingly not one of them.
Sent from my AT&T Samsung Galaxy S5.
It happened to be a bad SIM card. I went into AT&T and they put in a new one. LTE popped right up. Problem solved.

use hangouts; simple and easy
We always get the short end of the stick in the states. I'm going international.... I've had enough

Google hangouts
Tango
Skype
Those are a couple apps you can use for video calling. There are hundreds (maybe more?) out there... but those are the 3 I have personally used and have decent luck with.:good:
Having an international phone is not enough, it needs to be supported by carrier.

My sister and I both have Verizon, she has the lg g4 and I have the edge, she gets 3g no problem in Vermont, but I can barely get 1x. Is the edge just bad on reception? Or is there something I can do to improve it.

Try turning "advanced call" feature off in settings.

The first one I got kept dropping to 1x where 4G should not have been a problem ( 64 GB ) . Traded it in for a 128GB, no problems since
I just got my edge and noticed service is less than my G3. From my experience though Samsung always has worse radios than other manufactures.
