[Q] Battery life

Hello everyone,
I wonder how much battery life you have on i9000 with stock battery (1500mHa) on cm 10.1 with semaphore kernel?
Asking, just because I can only get max. 12h of battery life with cm 10.1 20130218 rom and semaphore 2.9.10, smartassv2 and row. Wondering is this normal or my battery needs to be changed. Any suggestions to max battery life on i9000 would be appreciated too

The battery can last between 3hours and a week, depending on how you use your phone, so that's not a good question to ask.
If you feel that the battery is running out too quickly then download betterbatterystats and look for any apps using unusually high partial wakelocks or alarms and get rid of them. It only takes 1 rogue app to screw up your battery life.

I think he knows that.
12 hours uptime is not uncommon, especially when on 3g a lot. On wifi you should be able to get at least 20 h in my experience. If the battery is as old as your phone I suppose its capacity is not what it used to be, and you might consider replacing it with a sgs+ one f.i. - they come cheap nowaways!

That's in your experience, the way you use your phone.
Try playing NFS MW or something. You'll get about 2 hours on a gti9000. It varies far too much to try and tell people how many hours battery life they should be getting. Totally depends.

I use my phone for 3h wifi browsing, 30 min. music and 30 min gaming, but nothing intense. And with this usage I get 12h battery life. Flashed 2.3.5 stock rom. Still getting 18h max. So I think this comes to conclusion that my battery is old enough. That's why I asked for the battery life you get, because I didnt knew this is usual or not

My last for 2 days more or less depending on usage.

Guys i think its wrong to measure the battery life with how long your phone is working. i personally look at the screen on time it says more than just how long our device is working. I get always stats around 3h its unimportant if my Phone works 6h or 18h.

Not just wrong, its completely impossible for someone else to be telling you what you should or shouldn't be getting...

HTC ONE Battery DRAIN Faster+I have small GAPS

I have a big problem with my new HTC ONE... Buy it 7 days ago in Germany(but using it only 5 days)!
Battery DRAIN very FAST[i think it's a issues]! (((
Charged it from 5-10% everytime to a FULL CHARGE about 5 times [Results it's the same...why so bad?]
Stock ROM,Fly MODE/AirPlanes(without sim card),i disable 10 apps from stock(Facebook,Twitter,Calendar,Google Movies,more widgets,NO HAVE LIVE WALLPAPER and more)
Please report your suggestion,any ideas!! I need HELP...Thank you!
P.s: I tried today to return and she say i need to try more to charge,even if it's FULL CHARGE(and green LED)

I read in forum to others persons 4 hours turned on screen,24h of radio,1h. of internet browsing,1 video +Calls...
P.s: Do not forget i use without GSM! And not so heavy use,for example:1hour video(takes 35%<<<It's not normally),30 min. of web and music,30min. YouTube,and play some stuff 1h...!Why so fast drain of battery in comparison with others?

let it settle with some recharging cycles for few days and see, if the problem is still here, then exchange it

Okey!Another problem i found when installed GSam...Why is consuming too much battery than others apps that i use...?
Tryed to find in forums and internet : is possible to be from a media files or media scanner(i'm not sure because i compared results of my htc ONE with Galaxy Note ( in Samsung i have tons of media files and usage by this "Wakelock media " is only 4% )...And another source from interent says that : Wake Lock can consume and installed apps who do a background work and stop cpu from sleep! Anyway i want to know more about this! Thanks to all.

About Gsam on the htc ONE
System (*WakeLock*) in GSam is the standard Video Player...And I resolved my problem with battery,I disable more apps and now after 2 Discharges my battery in HTC One seems to be okay!Happy now .

Cyanogen 10.1 Battery Drain

Hey fellow xda-ers!
I have a little big problem here.
After installing CyanogenMod 10.1 20130626 on my Samsung Galaxy S3 (Vodafone. I used the international version of CM) my battery goes 1% down nearly every minute...
What causes this problem? (I dont use internet nor wifi nor bluetooth nor nfc, etc)

wipe your battery stats and fully charge the phone with no interuptions.. plus cm is batttery hungry most of the time anyway

As did Dianne Hackborn of Google last year see multiple posts on the subject .
Recalibrate battery by using phone and charging over at least one week .
Run Better Battery Stats to look for wakelocks .

Hello guys I installes also CYanoGenM 10.1 night mode on my i9305 and faced the same problem with the battery drain , I tryed several tutorials to wipe batt stats to refresh etc etc .... faced the same problem even with seep mode on actived like 7-9 hours in night mode , the next day my phone got off and did not started unless it was conected on my charger

I am tired of AOSP/AOKP ROMS including CM.. everyone of them is Battery HUNGRY! AOSP/AOKP ROMS are capable of draining my zerolemon battery (7k mah) in max to max 7 hours screen on time in 2 days!

REPEAT.
Wipe Battery Stats will do nothing .
see multiple posts on the subject .
Recalibrate battery by using phone and charging over at least one week .
Run Better Battery Stats to look for wakelocks .

Hello community...since i hav got htc one ...the battery really sucks...i rooted and flashed sum stable rims and kernels but nit got any satisfactory results....power saving and all other third party stuff i used r in vain....battery drains at the tate of 5% at every 15 mintues of usage...
Moreover it took ages to charge again....can u ppl suggest me any teeak or sum fixes of battery....i luv this fone...but whats the point when i always hav tensiin of battery drainage in my mind.....
Or suggest any gud android with batter battery life....

5% = 15 minutes
5% x 20 = 100% = 15 minutes x 20
100% = 300 minutes
300 minutes = 5 hours
5 hours screen time not long enough for you....?

Gud calculation buddy but i mistakenly wrote 5% per 15 min.....its actually 5% every 5 mintues....sorry fr writting wrong info.

I also do hav some network strenght problem .....it never shows the complete network bars..only one or two......whereas other fones in same network show full strenght. Is this coz i use att status bar icons on my fone or is it really a fone issue

What is your best performer ROM on battery life?, or with the least drain

Having a difficult time to survive the day with b391, battery drains on deep sleep so, what is your best performer ROM on battery life?.
Or what rom doesn't have battery drain when the phone is in deep sleep? (B391 lost between 2-3% per hour which is HUGE.
Actually im testing b360 LATAM, will post the results later if anyone is interested.

2-3%/hr is not huge, I'm on 30% battery left with a running time of 30 hours; ~2.3%/hr.
I'm on the latest Gratitude ROM by Tecalote.

I think 3% drain with the phone suspended, is pretty huge.

I agree, that is a lot - I only lose 1-2% overnight when the phone is suspended (in Ultra battery mode).
When you go into Battery Manager > Consumption level, which apps are using the most under the 'All' & 'Background' tabs?
With all apps closed, I've 21 apps under 'All' & only 1 app under 'Background' (WhatsApp). The top 5 in the 'All' list are as follows. How does this compare to yours?
Google Services (13.45%)
Google App (11.77%)
Android System (5.12%)
Android OS (3.43%)
System UI (3.06%).

30hrs remaining with only 30% battery is amazing (or, it's reporting wrong figures?).
I'm getting 'only' 36hrs remaining with 98% battery.

2-3 %/hr is awesome in my opinion..
I've been using fRomFuture - Home for a while. The battery life is sooo bad but I just haven't changed rom yet.
Say I wake up at 7:30 am, check reddit for 5 minutes. Then go on and shower with maybe 2-3 songs playing on spotify. Also maybe 1 phone call and answering a text. Then I'm down at 80-85% by the time it's ~8:15-8:30.
My phone usually has ~10% battery left when I get home at ~ 3pm the same day. I don't even use it much when I'm at uni.

I really miss the doze feature, apps closing when screen off is such a bummer, makes phone ankward to use.
On my humble idol 3 i lost like 3% overnight, with all apps and sync working on the background.

I think you misinterpreted what I wrote. I had used 70% in 30 hours.
Overall usage between 2-3% is good.

If you don't find out what's draining your battery you can't fix it.

I come from a Moto G 1st gen (XT1032) and I couldn't agree more. I can't use the P8 (ALE-L23) in the same way that my now deceased Moto. Google My Tracks drain the battery quickly, Google Fit? No way José! Even Whatsapp trigger the alert for power hungry apps.
I don't recommend the P8 to anyone interested in use his phone like a tracking/navigation system. The GPS is also bad.

The gps is one of the most precise, with 3 satellite constelations and more precise than Samsung Note 3 and any Lumia phone for example. I use it for map data collect in some cases ( i work in the same business) and it didnt consume too much compared with an older Note 3 and a Lumia 925...

Not at all.

I use the Greenify app for the "aggressive doze" and "doze on the go" functions. No problem what so ever with battery drain on idle, I'm currently still on B391.
Doze on the go really helps if you carry your phone in your pocket all day like me. I'm getting 4 1/2 hours screen on time browsing, you tube, lots of SMS etc.
