[Q] Safestrap on stock 4.4.2 At&t - Galaxy S 4 Active Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi!
I recently updated to the official 4.4.2 on my AT&T i537. Is there a way to install safestrap on this rom?
By installing safestrap id like to test installing a custom kit kat rom based on any kit kat kernel from the i9295 model.

There is a version of SafeStrap that will work on 4.4.2, but I believe it is only able to install to your stock slot, for some reason there are issues creating a new ROM slot.
As far as the Kit Kat ROMs you mentioned, all the i9295 4.4.2 ROMs are based on AOSP or CM with a custom kernel so you wouldn't be able to use them anyways; the i9295 is still on 4.2.2, there is no 4.4.2 kernel for it. You might be able to install a 4.4.2 ROM meant for the i337 though. Since 4.4.2 is so new for the i537 there hasn't been a lot of development or discussion about using SafeStrap with it.

Error Flashing Paranoid Android 4.4.2

Hi, I can't post in the dev section but I am trying to flash the Paranoid Android 4.4.2 on my HTC One for Verizon. I am coming from PAC Rom using TWRP. It is failing to flash after wiping the system. My guess is that I believe PAC is not kit kat and PA is. Where can I get an updated firmware? flash to get my phone on Kit Kat so I can flash the PA Rom?
Thanks
you don't need to update your firmware for AOSP based ROMs
you just need TWRP 2.6.3.3 (or later) to flash 4.4 ROMs
what is the error your are facing?

That was the problem, I thought I had the latest TWRP, thanks. Now I am just trying to find why I have no service at all with the ROM installed. I see I am not the only one, I will look into it.

Glad able upgrade from rooted 4.2 to 4.4 on Sprint?

I'm rooted on stock jellybean 4.2, with cwm recovery. Any chance of a stock kitkat 4.4 flashable?

Lollipop on n900a?

Hello,
I have been searching and looking. Is there a way to get the lollipop on a n900a? If so, what needs to be done? I don't think it's as simple as flashing the Cyanogenmod12 on a rooted 4.4.4. Any links or ideas how to get this to work?
Thanks in advance.
no. not until att releases an update.
How about using a safestrap?
nope. we need a leak or official release that has a kernel for lollipop.
Did you have to downgrade back to 4.4.2 and then upgrade to 4.4.4 with the stock kernel just curious. I seen that you were running a rooted 4.4.4?

There's a leak already here on xda, not yet for us, I wish somebody would make it work for us . http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/general/guide-t2983873
RoloRacer on KillerKat Note 3
So disappointed that AT&T are dragging there feet on releasing Lollipop 5.0
Wish we could find a version out there for SM900A
Still looking for a complete guide to getting on a working version of 5.0+ rooted, xposed sm-900A... even if it requires Odin's great wrath.

The only issue I'm having is the mic... other than that, I've got it rooted although SS won't work on this version... supposedly.
Enjoy.

You cannot install ROMs that require a custom kernel (CM, AOSP, PA, etc). You can only install TouchWiz-based ROMs because they will work with your stock kernel. Furthermore it is important to note that since you're on NH3, you can only use 4.4.2 TouchWiz-based ROMs.

Devo7v is correct, the closest we have to CM is Pure Nexus

Samsung Galaxy S5 lollipop AT&T G900A 5.1 ?

HI I am very new to all of this so here goes. I recently purchased a S5 and it is currently running Kit Kat 4.4.4 and I was going to root it using the towelroot method and then upgrade to Lollipop using a thread on here as a reference. But I have some concerns
1. I was reading that Lollipop is terrible and filled with bugs and battery drains problems and speed issues
2. I head that there is a lollipop version 5.1 if I installed lollipop 5.0 how to I install the 5.1 update.
3. Also is it really worth the upgrade over Kit Kat
My phone is a G900A and its from AT&T if that helps thanks

I'm quite certain the latest version the G900A has is 5.0.1. To get to it you need to downgrade to 4.4.2(nce) and run towelroot, then you can use flashfire to upgrade to the pre-rooted lollipop, either oc4 or of2. I don't have any issues with lollipop, it's all up to personal prefrence i think.
