You could be getting throttled by AT&T

Could also just be outages in your area, new towers, etcetera will all effect those speed tests, stuff like software updates doesn't usually lower speeds, though i have heard a lot of complaints after updating (on other phones) about losing connection/reception

I will check out my speed in the morning when my billing cycle starts over. As of right now on LTE i get 1mbps
Sent from my LG-D950 using Tapatalk
Well when it is working good I get 10.4mbps but it's rare, mostly getting 1mbps or less and get stuck in regular 4g a lot which g does really slow

I live in a dorm across the street from a brand new Sprint LTE tower and routinely pull speeds in the high 20s from said tower. Tonight I got 29.59 mbps down.
I got this earlier tonight...

I have an at&t note 3 and an getting 71dbm hspa while a gs is sitting next to it getting 57dbm hspda9 what's the difference between the 2 and is there a reason to be concerned about the n3? Don't know much about signal so thought I'd ask before my 14 days were up

Wish I could get close to even 90. At my house, it ranges from 95 on up. Currently at 110.
Do you lose calls, drop data connections or suffer from extremely slow speeds? If no, I wouldn't worry about it. I have yet to lose a call or have any issues at a much weaker signal. yMMV.

Iv only lost to calls but they were in the same place going down road but other than that it's been working pretty well

No not yet , it'll pick up when n3, and has first boot but it didn't stay long on either device.

Hello everyone,
I was wondering what speed I should be getting on lte. I did a speed test and I had 10mbps down and 3up. It seems to be a 3g speed.
Thanks

Network speeds vary across carriers. Just because its an LTE network does not mean you will always get super fast speeds. Sprint for example has LTE but their speeds are terrible. Generally I consider anywhere from 15mbs and up download to be decent LTE speeds. I pull at least 15-20 Mbps on at&ts network where I live and I consider that more than enough.

Haven't been able to hit anything over 6mbps. Average is running about 3mbps when in my S3 I averaged 20 to 35 download and upload.
I'm using the new Sim that came with the S5.

I feel you on the slow LTE speeds. With my S4 I used to get 30-40 Mbps in same area, now this. My WiFi is great however lol

I was finally able to get 20mbps today. Upload still slow. Maybe servers are overloaded with all the new phones.
