Official Samsung Ace GT-S5830 Gingerbread 2.3.6 Australian firmware needed. - Galaxy Ace S5830 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there.
I'm new here so I'm not too sure if this is the right spot to put this but do mind my noobness.
I have a Samsung Ace GT-S5830, obviously, that is in need of the official Gingerbread 2.3.6 Australian firmware. I can no longer download the firmware due to hotfile.com being shutdown. I would install one of the mods from here but I do like the standard UI to each version of the Android firmware. I have tried looking on Google by searching S5830XWKT7_S5830OPPKS6_OPP.zip but no luck as they all lead to the old dead hotfile.com link. But if anyone has a .ZIP copy of it that they could link me then that would be great or PM me a link or PM me to send it in an e-mail, whatever it takes. I need this firmware ASAP as I have a friend that want to buy the phone off me soon and I want to make sure it works perfectly as it's not doing to well.
So, please. Anyone.
Cheers!

Well you are in luck buddy! Here is the link on how to install stock rom using odin along with all firmwares (including Australian). Go to "Preparation" section to download all the files needed for flashing and "Some Firmware" section to download the necessary firmware. You can use the mirror link next to the Australian firmware to download fast. Follow this link,
Flash stock rom on Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 using odin
Once installed, go to recoverymod (hold Power + Home button) and do a wipe data/ factory reset & wipe cache (otherwise bootloop might occur). Then restart. Now you have successfully flashed the stock rom. Here is the link for rooting and installing CWM 5 on Samsung Galaxy Ace,

[Q] Galaxy Ace stuck in reboot loop

My Galaxy Ace is stuck in a reboot loop after trying to flash 2.3.6 onto it, when it had 2.3.5 on it previously.
I've used ODIN and no matter what firmware I try to flash onto it, it just goes into a reboot loop.
Any idea how to fix it?
Did you try to do a wipe?

press down home button and then power on phone ...--> you will enter into recovery mode .
select wipe with help of volume keys and there you go out of bootloop
My Galaxy Ace is also in some sorta reboot loop.
Everything was working fine with it (phone is rooted and CWM installed) until I did a phone reset because I was giving the phone to my gf. After doing this the phone reboots, the blue samsung logo plays (without sound) and then repeats ad-infinitum. I can get into recovery mode and download mode ok and I've tried wipe and even restored a CWM backup (it says it was successful) but the phone just keeps rebooting. I can see the phone in odin but I've never tried to flash anything onto it and quite frankly I'm unsure whether it would just make things worse (if it needs to go back to Samsung for repair). Any help would be appreciated...
If you have cwm ..why dont you download some custom rom like cm7and flash it ..that would bring your phone back to life ...then you can downgrade to stock rom if you want ...and btw in cwm try cache partition , clear data /factory reset and clear dalvik cache ..see if it boots after you do this ..
Sent from my SGA rocking CM7.2 by vo-1 + all-in-one script
when i always flash by odin or by cwm i always do wipe , wipe cache and wipe dalvik, this helps me everytime
I managed to flash a firmware from samfirmware and it fixed the reboot.
Now my issue is when I connect to Kies, it says there's an updated firmware for the phone but it fails every attempt to install it. I went back to samfirmware and found this firmware: S5830ZSKPD ## but when I download and extract it there's only 1 x MD5 file and 1 x DLL file?! The other firmware had the 4 or 5 files needed to include in Odin... any ideas guys?
I think its a "one package file " ..I forgot the correct name but there is some option like that in odin ..dont worry it contains all the required files ..and if you are scared to do it then go to you tube ..there are many tutorials showing it then...

Yep, that's exactly what it was, thanks again.
Unfortunately with this firmware, Kies doesn't recognise it and provides no info.
I flashed back to the older firmware... I'll just have to keep experimenting I guess.

Well I could flash it with Odin if I had the firmware but I don't.
It appears it's not available on SamFirmware.com
Do you know where I can download the following firmware?
PDA:KPD / PHONE:KPD / CSC:KPC (THL)
Thanks
Lol I cant understand those firmwares ..can you tell me which version of android you want like 2.3.4/2.3.5/2.3.6 ...then ill be able to help you wanr
Sent from my SGA rocking CM7.2 by vo-1 + all-in-one script
Thanks anyway but I managed to find the firmware online and flashed it using Odin.
Now Kies says I'm using the latest which is a good start : )
Now I just need to find a way to root my SGS2 GT-I9100T
U can try a custom ROM from the Developer's forums here.
I also once stucked in the Reboot Loop..............
But then I installed a custom or if you want features from a official Rom, you can install Stock Based custom ROm from the Developer forums of Galaxy Ace. Really good Rom have been made by the developers
In the chance that someone else is looking for this latest OEM firmware update:
PDA:KPD / PHONE:KPD / CSC:KPC (THL)
It can be downloaded from: http://translate.googleusercontent....flgljh&usg=ALkJrhiMpHV83dugh4RGwhKpyjIrYIgn2Q
It is in "one part file" format and can be flashed using Odin.
whatever may be the problem ......just rem to keep a backup of ur previously used rom and just flash it with cwm...
Progress?

now i wanna install darkyrom v10.2
so guys a little help in steps
thank u sooo much
1. Download Darkyrom(version).zip
2.Get into recovery mode(cwm)(Volume up+home+power)
2. Wipe Data/factory reset
3. wipe cache partition
4. Go to advanced->> wipe dalvik
5. Install zip from sd --->> darkyrom.zip
FINISH!!!
Edit: there are sites that says that you have to install the rom with odin, google a bit more, you don't want a bricked galaxy s
Best answer can be found on the Darky's website. Go to http://www.darkyrom.com/community/index.php and look for the rom you want to install and they have instructions on how to do it.
I would suggest trying Darky JVU it is the latest and in my opinion the best Darkyrom
bro he dosent even have cwm its complete stock i was thinking if i somehow gget rom manger to work atleast i cAN GIVE HIM CYANOGEN MOD DIRECTLY FROM ROM MANAGER DOWNLOAD REP
Download the latest stock firmware from the following link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1102881
Download Chainfire's CWM kernel (link below) for the firmware you installed from the link above.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=788108
Now that you have CWM, you can download and install the Darky firmware of your choice.

this will give you darky rom 10.2 on your friend's phone which will be rooted along with CWM recovery.. after this you can install any rom which you want using the recovery and the instructions given in the op of the rom you chose.

Bro look at the kernel name -.-
Just install semaphore kernel with odin by downloadin kernel and put in pda slot in odin. Put the phone into download mode by using vol down home and power. Plug phone in and hit start. Make sure you have the drivers installed(samsung kies) and it recognizes the phone. When its done flashing in about 10 seconds it will reboot. Now power down the phone and hold vol up home and power. That will bring you into cwm recovery. Make sure you have darky rom on sd card. Do factory reset and go to install zip from sd card and install darkyrom zip. It will then install and reboot. It will take a while so just wait. If it boot loops put it into recovery again and reflash the zip file again. Please hit thanks and happy flashing!

[Q] i9000 tried to flash CM9...kinda fsck'ed

[email protected],
after successfully flashing CM9 to my Defy I convinced my friend to go to ICS as well...so far so good/bad!
I followed the guide to install CMW recovery and did a backup of the stock ROM.
After this I copied CM9 nightly and the google apps package to the internal memory...apperantely the zip package of the google apps was bad, so i tried to boot into CM9..it took a damn long time, so I removed the battery (OK, bad move...but so be it don't bit*h about it!)..CM9 booted but said someting about "encryption of the storage failed..please do a factory wipe"......I did so, using CWM recovery...which ended me up in a boot loop without having access to CMW recvry.
So I thought, flashing the zImage again with heimdall will have the bootloader rewritten (maybe the 2nd bad move this day) so I can access recovery again...I imagined zImage was kinda like a BIOS of a PC...apparently it is NOT
After some google-f00 I found out I have to flash an official FW from samsung, with repartitioning, using odin, am I right?
But the probel is, that they tell me to do a *#7465625# to find out details about the stock firmware...but this is not bossible because the phone hangs at the galaxy s boot logo.
So my question is...what can I do to access either recovery or the stock firmware with a phone stuck at boot logo (i can boot into download mode) and having only a nandroid backup of the stock rom?
Can anybody tell me what to do without spending 200 coins to obtain another SGS for my friend (Yeah, I told him that the risk is to brick the SGS, but I have a kind of guilty conscience.
Hope someone can help...
Thanks a lot!
Odin doesnt care about whats currently on your phone . Just go to samfirmware. Com, find a nice stock rom (2.3.3) for i9000, and flash it with odin. If you dont know how to use odin: use the search button in the i9000 section ''how to use odin''. keep us updated / or if you have any other questions

hey
when i screwed my sgs, odin + darky ressurection rom helped
i can't post a link , google "Darkys_v9.2_Resurrection_Edition.zip" ,though i can't remember if i used that version. some got removed, try to look for a sourceforge link. That still works
and see the reply above how to use odin
Hey,
There are also lots of tutorials on youtube, and other sites to show how to flash an original rom. I also screwed up my install of CM9. And then I followed this guide to get the original rom running again.
w w w.theandroidsoul.com/download-install-xxjvs-firmware-update-galaxy-s-i9000-to-android-2-3-5/
After that, use this link for rooting + CWM:

Greets from Holland !
PS: can't link -_- so you have to copy and paste the URL.

hmmm... i read from another site there are some custom rom that requires the phone to be in a rooted stock rom or another custom rom...
example:
to install Galaxy S GT I9000 with Orange Amestris v7.3 ROM Custom Firmware you need to be on stock XWJW1 or XXJVU Firmware since the baseband of "amestris" would be on xwjw1 or xxjvu or custom rom with the same baseband...
what stock rom/firmware the phone was in anyway?im guessing gingerbread stock rom? you still got a chance to update it right since you can access download mode...
from what i can remember, i updated my boyfrnd's s2 from gingerbread to official ics from "sammobile".com (remove quote)
then updated it to a custom rom...
well this might be irrelevant but this is how i updated my galaxy s:
well on my galaxy s i updated it from gingerbread stock rom rooted to gingerbread miui then to ics miui andy's version, since im on ics i have successfully tried different ics custom rom like darknight, slimics, elite etc...
hope this kinda help =]
Thanks a lot...I flashed the original firmware (it didn't start properly, but I don't care) and with this was able to flash the zImage again...then I was able to access bootloader and reinstall CM9

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S Advance I9070 won't boot or go in recovery mode

I recently tried to root the phone using this tutorial on xda-developers http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1660419
However, after completing the procedure as explained the phone did not start automatically in normal mode, I can not even boot into recovery mode.
The OS installed was official Jellybean 4.1.2
This is the first time I am working with a Samsung device and have no idea what is happening.
Ofcourse, it is for 2.3.6. Reinstall JB with Odin. And go to our Original development section, at the top will be Root fot JB thread, use that. Now you returned to GB aith that, but it did not set system like it should, so yoh cant boot and yoh cant go to recovery.

I think those are official from sammobile and samsung-updates. Both hotfile. Look on our generql section, some fw's are reuploaded to other hosts.
Here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2110245
Just watch about P and non P versions. You must use the one for your version of phone.

If you are on JB and you used GB root method you softbricked. Because GB method uses kernel to inject su file. And you can't boot JB with GB kernel... That is your problem, so now do what I suggested. Flash stock JB firmware over and root with method I gave you.
Is it more clear now what you did? You said that you have rooted succesfull 3 differend phones? And you did not try to read how root is done? And you should know that GB kernel do not work on JB...
And I was thinking what you did before you got problem on Galaxy S Advance, by asking what you did before the problem.
Another important thing: DO NOT FLASH I9070 FIRMWARE ON I9070P PHONE, AND I9070P FIRMWARE ON I9070 PHONE - IT WILL HARDBRICK IT.
Fixt it!

Here is the link on how to install stock rom using odin along with all firmwares and drivers (check the "Preparations" section),
Flash stock rom on Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 using odin
If your PC cannot recognize the phone, its usually the drivers. Once installed, go to recovery mode and do a wipe data/ factory reset & wipe cache (otherwise bootloop might occur). Then restart.
