Hi. I've been using OmniROM, ParanoidAndroid and AOSP for Xperia T. On each one of them I've experienced stuttering/hiccups while listening to music. I haven't had that problem on android 4.1 or 4.3. Does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks in advance

I have the same problem on Carbon 4.4.. most likely this issue is caused by the media process priority being too low. In this case, it might be solved by using a script to renice the media related processes at every boot, so they have highest cpu priority.
But unfortunately I have not yet been successful in creating a working renice script. :/

Go to: Settings - Audio - Advanced Tweaks - Audio Buffer Size, set it to Large, if that's not helping, set i to Huge.
Next: Settings - Audio - Advanced Tweaks - Audio Thread Priority, set it to +2, and again, if that's not helping, set it to Highest.

I did it before creating new thread, unfortunately it didn't worked for me..
Try changing to the other kernel. Wipe cache/Dalvik.
If installed, delete walkman, enhantsments...
I'm out of ideas.
I think the only solution is coming back to 4.3, at least for me :/

Viper really much improve sound quality and interpretation in stock player and speakers, but if you using PowerAMP, you must play with a settings, but for listening from speakers, stock player is better for it.

I tried installing both the xHiFi & FX version, but the driver installation failed. Which CPU mode did you use? How much improved sound you get, given the already excellend pair of speakers on HTC One?

Hi, I using CortexA8 with NEON with no problem, sound is waaay better then before, You don't compare sound from speakers before and after, I using default(recomended) settings from OP for FX version.

Weird, you follow step by step instruction for instalation? Installed driver, reboot, give it root permissions and set it up (for speakers and headphones)?

when i listen to music the walkman app automatically pauses every 4 mins and i make sure that i cleared all recent apps and that i dont use any force close ram mangers
i posted this in the thread of the rom but no one helped me so im hoping that anyone could help me here

Because I have'nt seen any reports about the walkman application pausing everytime but I do know about the RAM problems of the SP where the Walkman app gets closed.

i think it pauses because when i open the screenn i see the notification of the application being paused
also the ram problems occur when people browse and listen to music but i listen to music while my phone screen is off
Do you have to restart the song from the beginning or has it seleted another one? If so then it might me closed due to RAM problems.

acctually to be precise the song stops because when i start it again it starts from the beginning and how do i have ram problems when i close all the recent apps and i make sure that i have 160 mg free ram
Well sometimes you cant help it. It is a known issue with this device.
You can always wipe data of the walkman application and test again.

there must be something to fix it
You could try a factory reset of that ROM and test the walkman app without any other applications to see if it is app related or not.

I also experienced such glitches with music interruptions, i'm using walkman and V4A when using my phone as mp3 player. I found SOME SORT of solution and that its -- UNINSTALL ANY SD CARD TWEAKS such as SD read ahead speed or set it to device default. I suspect that maybe the tweak isn't needed coz i'm using Class-10 SDcard and applying such tweaks might be "SUPERFLOUS" and thus causing issues with music playback.
But then if still you get no better results...last option would be to USE ANOTHER ROM and uninstall the later. Just my opinion:fingers-crossed:

Hi, some couple of days, i update my razr i to kitkat, rooted with recovery...very fast and smooth, no problem at all...but when i listen music in the app Google Music ( with earphones) its sound pretty LOW...someone know how i can boost the volume music???

ups :C., sorry bro...recently i found a mod that boost the volume of music...only u have need to be root
install the apk, grant permission of root, reboot and change the music effects (configuration-sound-music effects) and choose the apk installed

Use dspmanager AND V4A (compatible mode).

I'm on RR ROM as well. I flashed it. Awesome sound. Better than my Viper4Android current settings. And then I tried to make a phone call/receive phone call, and it would lag so hard. The other line can't hear me and I won't hear anything from the other line as well.
Reverted back to nandroid and it was fixed. I wonder if it was because I had V4A already on before I flashed, but I did clear both caches before I flashed.
EDIT: looked into the original thread and they're complaining of same.

Can Work with audio FX?
It instals fine on the latest Sultan build of CM12, kik crashed for some reason upon launch which I'm sure is unrelated. But the audio effects seem to do absolutely nothing, and super duper sadly the "mic sensitivity" option won't even change from it's default value "auto", that value alone would be worth it to me since the OPO's AGC is awful.

Upon clearing cache and dalvik AND disabling AudioFX this works pretty good. Still no microphone gain control though

The audio effects will work in nothing but the music app provided, just like AudioFX traditionally did. No external apps will work with this, at least for me. Anybody know how you get the dark theme in the music app provided?
Is there a reason you ported it? There are enough players available on the market which are as good as the sony's or even better (Poweramp, etc)...

I had success with Spotify and the Walkman app. Unfortunately it just broke in-call sound so I had to revert back.
Works on latest nigthly of cm12.1? And what is that "phone bug"?
