Hello, you can change the destination of the photo gear? Currently photos are stored on the phone memory, I would like them to be saved on the external memory
thanks
*bump*
I'd like to know too. At the moment my Gear has decided to save my its to my phone's internal SD's root folder (probably as a result of my phone's current custom ROM config, I assume) I'd love to specify which folder the Gear photos are saved to.

Trust I believe searching is the key. However cannot find help for this particular question.
Currently the Pictures & Video shortcut points to the my pictures in my device. I then have to go to location and select storage card for it to take me to the my pictures on storage card. I have been storing photos in my storage card and have already pointed all camera photos to be stored on the card. But when I open the shortcut, it would always take me to the my pictures on the device and I would need to again click on location and go to storage card.
Anyone know the target to have it open directly to the storage card? I have it stored in storage card, my documents, my pictures.
This is the current target that takes me directly to the my pictures on device: 22#:MSPIMG?pimgres.dll,-101
I've set the Camera App to use the SDcard (which is /storage/sdcard1) and I could see that all pictures & vidoes go there. Even Timeshift-Videos (120fps) are stored on the SDcard, so far so good.
But, when I edit a Timeshift-Video (with the standard Movie Creator) or take a Background-Defocus photo, these go into internal storage...
/storage/sdcard0/DCIM/XPERIA/EDITED_VIDEO
...and...
/storage/sdcard0/DCIM/XPERIA/BACKGROUND_DEFOCUS
..., respectively.
I can't seem to find a separate option (internal storage / SDcard) for these, hence consider it a bug (.98 DE FW).
Not really a showstopper, yet one may think that everything is anyways stored on the SDcard, wipe the phone and...
Can anyone confirm?!
same here, not so good implementation on sony's side

Hello, i have a doubt about the camera app that comes default with CM12 and others similar, i don't know how it is called but i wanted to know if is it possible to change the location folder on this app, i mean, use SD Card instead Internal Memory to save the photos, 'cause i can't find any option to make this. (Just in case, the app icon is attached on bottom page)
CM12 camera doesnt have the permission to write to External SD card. Use third-party camera apps like "A Better Camera" "Lenevo SnapIt Camera", these allow the pics to be saved on External SD card.
First of all, sorry if this question has already been asked before. I've searched and searched but unfortunately, couldn't find a solution.
I'm okay with Google Photos automatically backing up my camera roll. But there's only an option to either turn it on, or off for the DCIM folder. I shoot a lot of video's which take up a lot of space in the cloud. I'd rather have videos automatically save in a folder other than 'DCIM' (which automatically uploads to Google Photos).
Haven't found a way to change the output folder of the stock camera app when taking videos to anything else, other than moving the files manually to another folder. Is there an easier/built-in way on the S21 Ultra? An automated workaround would suffice too ofcourse.
Leave the DCIM folder alone. Modifying the DCIM folder in any way will come back to bite you.
Simply copy out the files. Delete the copies in the DCIM folder after the copy is verified if you want. I use my SD card to store the pics. Every month or so I do what is described above.
I then redundantly backup the SD card. Don't forget your backups... trust nothing.
Hi there, is there any way to change camera photos save location. Default is external storage/DCIM/camera. I use my NAS cloud to back up photos but it needs photos exacly in DCIM folder to backing up.

Hey.
Not a direct solution as such, but more a possible workaround.
Could try looking into such apps as these which will automatically move the files to the chosen folder:
Auto Move for Android Puts Your Files Exactly Where You Want Them
While I consider myself to be a pretty organized guy, there are often times where I just can't find a file I put on my phone. Most of the time, when I download a file it goes automatically into my Download folder, but when I use a third-party to download other files, like torrents, they could...
