If ypu have a problem using impactor this tool wont help, as it is not an alternarive root method it just automates the process. Try rooting with vroot, do a hard reset then root using impactor.
The root action does not work with the latest kdz release. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I will have a look at automating the English version on vroot.
A couple weeks ago when my phone was running jb I used Odin, the cf auto run file to root my phone and had no problems at all. After the kik Kat update came out I used Odin on my computer and flashed the original firmware so that I could get the update, I knew I would lose root but now when I try to root it my phone goes into a loop. The only thing I could do to fix it was flash a twrp img. file which got it working again. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong this time around and why it's going into a loop? I would also like to know why you can't write to the external sd card anymore???

Let me see if i understood. You're trying to install GB and after that CF root and the phone goes into bootloop ?
I downloaded the cf auto file from this site which was almost double the size of the jb cf file so I figured it had been updated for kk. And yes, then once it restarts it just keeps going into Odin mode over and over until I used a twrp img. I had found that got me out of it. My phone shows even installed supersu but it's not rooted. What file do I use to root it for kk?

Hi. I want to ask 2 questions :
1. Is every USB-JIG the same? I mean, if I buy USB-JIG for an Galaxy S2, will it work on my S3-Mini? And will it reset my CBC?
2. What is the fastest way to root the S3-Mini nowadays and flash a custom ROM (Carbon or CM)?
EDIT - I also want to ask 1 more question - Will USB-JIG work on Galaxy S3 LTE (GT-i9305)?
I'm not sure but I think they're all the same. It doesn't reset binary count on i8190, but triangle away app does work fine.
Mine was labeled as photo.

Hey guys,
Big thanks to @autoprime for mentioning this info on this in the general G4 forum. Figured I'd sum up the steps and repost in our sub-forum for anybody who may be struggling.
If you're like me, you're waiting on root and don't want to accidentally take that new OTA update that was pushed out about a week ago. This OTA has been found to prevent rolling back to previous versions of android, and may also block some/many of the root methods that the developers are preparing to release to us.
If System Update is constantly bugging you to update, follow the directions below:
1) Enable USB Debugging
-Go to About phone and tap on Build number 10 times to enable Dev Options
-Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging
2) Download and Install the Debloater tool (this happens on your computer)
-Windows http://rootjunkysdl.com/getdownload.php?file=Gates/DeBloater/Debloater-setup-v3.85.exe
-OSX http://rootjunkysdl.com/getdownload.php?file=Gates/DeBloater/Debloater.v.3.85.dmg
3) Connect your phone via USB. Make sure to install any drivers needed
4) Watch for pop up requesting ADB Access on your phone
5) Launch the Debloater tool
6) Select OK on the popup

7) Click the top left button
8) Find LGDMSClient.apk and put a checkmark next to it. Then select Apply at the top
Congratulations! You no longer have to worry about pocket-updating your G4 and not being able to root down the road!
I just ran this and it doesn't show LGDMSClient.apk.....weird
I just recieved my imported AT&T s6 active and I'm super pleased by the phone!
The phone came with 5.1.1 preloaded and I'm assuming the bootloader is locked.
I've heard root is only available for 5.0 and root is a MUST for me can I downgrade with Odin and root?
Also does locked bootloader mean no flashing zips, right? Alas, no xposed?
Sorry, no root for you yet. Root only work on 5.0.1 and no downgrade. Thought you not necessarily need custom bootloader to flash zip, in S7 Active topic on XDA they do it through app, but still need root... Switch to s7A until your phone is new, or learn to live without root.

I've been trying to follow a method described in other forums and mentioned by many other xda users, but once I re flash stock firmware I don't have root access.
I suspect my problem is when running "ROOT_FIX.bat" having my phone on recovery.

I've no idea how to assess this.
Maybe this root method was just intended to be temporary for IMEI and CSC purpouses?
The forum I followed wasn't very explicative.
