[Q] Screen Continuously Turning Off - Verizon LG G2

Hello everyone!
First time poster so hopefully I'm not breaking any rules!
I have a Verizon LG G2 and I have the Malladus ROM on it.
Whenever I press the unlock button on the back of the phone, the screen turns on and then turns off again. I have to keep doing this until it stops itself.
Has anyone experienced this issue before?
Thanks for any help!

No but I tend to use the knock feature to wake it up, does that work ok?

It works but I disabled it to see if that was what was causing the problem.
It doesn't do this in the stock ROM, so I'm contemplating just reverting back.
But I don't want to do that......

Mine does it sometimes. Usually when it's on the charger, or was just taken off. Stock Kk.

[Q] A weird problem in Kingxklick's Desire2Nexus

Hello people!!
So, here's my problem for today, in that ROM (the Desire2Nexus 1.4 that is) sometimes when i leave my phone in the pocket for sometime it just wont turn back on.
Basically it stays Locked and The power button does not do a thing. The only way to get out of that situation is to take out the battery and reboot it.
Now, the last time it happened to me I tried to call it while it was "Locked", on the other side it seemed like it's calling the nexus normally, but the nexus didn't do anything, it did not ring, did not turn on or anything.
Did anyone here experienced anything like that?
And if this is the wrong place to put this at, Sorry in advance.
Ooh, I guess this is my first post too... yay!!

King had messed something up in the kernel, that was the cause. Try using Evils latest version, with Wildmonks kernals specifically for the ROM. Its really blasing fast.

Random shutdown while screen off only

Hi all. For some reason, my phone shuts down only when its screen is off. If I keep the display on or if it's plugged in, it'll stay on... Any ideas anyone? Help much appreciated.

well, thanks for replying. I just asked for warranty exchange. Seems other people had the problem too. Just didn't have time to hunt then.
My first captivate had that same problem. It seemed to be random and occur after the phone goes into standby mode, I would try and bring up the lock screen and it wouldn't appear and I would have to power the phone back on. Didn't happen for the first month or so that I had it, then it started happening as much as 10-15 times a day. May have occurred more often in areas with bad reception. Tried several different ROM's including stock with no apps or addons and still happened. I ended up swapping it out for a new one, and my new one has yet to do it, seems like there's no other option.

Odd Touchscreen issues

Hey,
I have Verizon droid 3 running up in Canada, and its been working fine...however it recently started having issues with the touchscreen.
Basically the screen works normally 3% now, otherwise it only works when the keyboard is open to just above the first row of keys.
If I touch the screen while the keyboard is fully open it wont respond, but when I go back to the working position it will respond to a touch made while fully open (ie; I pressed ok after typing, it didn't submit until I closed the keyboard to the working position, like a delayed response).
It seems like a software issue, but I already hard reset.....
Any ideas? I don't want to change this phone after only 5 months (no Verizon warranty here!)..
Thanks,

Which ROM are you on, stock or a custom one?
Its a long shot, but I have odd touchscreen issues when plugged into cheap power sources (inverters, etc). You may want to check the battery - pop it out for a bit, put it back in, maybe try someone else's, etc...

Oh ok, then I'm not really sure. I would, if you want, try and flash right back to complete stock and see if your having the same troubles. If you are then it's almost guaranteed to be a hardware problem. However, if the problem doesn't persist then it could have just been some weird bug or glitch that happened. I've had some weird things happen a week or so after a flash and it was software related.
But all this would be having you do a reflash either through CWM/Safestrap or sbf and then you lose everything you have (Though you can backup & restore apps via Titanium Backup). So if you don't end up reflashing I understand
Also does this happen only at certain times/intervals say when your charging? Hope this helps!
Edit: I looked at the orig post at work and forgot to look at it again. A hard reset should be able to fix it, but you never know. I would recommend a reflash and see what happens. Sorry I can't be more help
I hate you. I read your post yesterday and thought "huh, that's really weird and unfortunate." I woke up today and the same thing is happening to me. I haven't flashed anything since April. It was totally out of the blue.
Mine only works when the screen is slid open bout half a centimeter, not even enough to force the screen to rotate.

That's exactly what's happening....It's been like this for a week. However, it sometimes works when I left it for the night to charge...or randomly, but full functionality lasts only a few minutes.
has there been any update on this status? im trying to fix a friends with the same problem.

i don't understand how the digitizer can go between perfect condition and not working as it wish.

[Q] VS980 Screen Won't Light

I have a Verizon LG G2 (got it February of this year), rooted running Beanstalk, it worked fine on it for the last 3 months and today after one of my classes the screen wouldn't turn on. I've tried resetting it multiple times, still no luck. I can feel my passcode vibrate when I try putting it in and it still plays music when I plug it in and press play on the headphones. I'm thinking its a hardware issue but thought a second opinion would be nice.
I got off the phone with Verizon and it's getting swapped, I'm afraid they'll discover its rooted and charge me. Any good way to unroot a G2 without using the screen?

[Q] My Atrix HD won't reboot/stay on, can anyone help me out?

Okay, I'll try to keep this short. I had a Motorola Atrix HD for a while and one day I tried to flash CM10 on it. (I didn't really know what I was doing to be honest.) I rooted it, and while trying to unlock the bootloader something went wrong. Also the phone was due for an update. So one day the phone automatically shut itself down (I assumed to install the update) But then it didn't completely shut down, it showed the screen shown in the image below.
(I think that's how the story went, it happened a long time ago I don't remember it much.) I can hold the power button and turn the phone on. It stays on for about a minute, then shuts itself down and shows that screen again. Is there anyway to stop this? I don't use the phone anymore so it's not a big deal, but it would be nice to have. Any suggestions helps, thanks. Also I'm new to XDA and I don't really know how stuff works around here. I apologize if I did something wrong.
