Hi,
i checked some topics on samsung galaxy forum, but i wonder if it will work on xperia t or may be there is some other solution about this problem.
So..does someone tried to use usb otg+mhl+charging at the same time???
If so feel free to share what you used and how
Thanks!
What exactly is the problem?
But I reckon that with one socket and three cables it wont work to be able to do mhl and USBOTG, but when I use MHL it charges my phone anyway.
There is a lot of cables MHL with OTG and splitters, but also with different pinout..some work, some dont.
For an example i made USB Male - to Male cable. If i connect one side to the charger and the other to OTG cable - my xperia ARC charges but xperia T gives no indication at all.
So basicly what i'm asking is: has someone tried to get "PC-experience" on xperia T(usb mouse&keyboard and monitor) and what kind of cables had to be used?
Hi, anybody knows if z1 can use external USB via OTG? Thanks

It works.
I just tested with a mouse

Is there a OTG USB cable in the box or you need to buy one?

It does not work on mine. Tried an USB OGT adapter and an adapter cable (both worked on my Xperia S) Tried Dualshock 3 (because of that native support thingy) USB Keyboard and USB Mouse. No reaction. Device is rooted but bootloader is locked and I have stock firmware on it.

I tested it with an xbox 360 controller and it worked fine! The battery drain with it is ridiculous though!
I have two different OTG USB cables, with one it works fine with my ps3 controller, no reaction with the other cable. The one which works is a very short one, the not working cable is very long. But I don't thing the length is the reason.
i've got a feeling not all OTG cables work, i bought a generic one from amazon and when i try connecting a usb memory stick it says it has too much devices connected and i need to disconnect one for it to work. Has anyone bought one recently and it has worked, if so please provide a link if possible. thank you

I bought this one from Amazon (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005FUNQXS/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i02?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
It arrived yesterday and I plugged the PS3 controller into the phone and it recognised it straight away.
I don''t know if it works with USB Drives or not, I don't have any to test, but it worked fine for what I needed it for, and cheap too.
Thanks mate, I'll give that a go

Just tried the USB OTG clip that i used on my HTC One and it doesn't show up a simple memory card? Which is weird as it's still working on other devices.
Would be good to find out what the problem is, is it a missing pin ? Or just the grade of the kit, plus certain USB OTG cables / clips are working for certain things and not for others, so PS3 will connect but memory won't mount on some, some nothing works on and others everything works, would be an idea to get some clarity on what cables do everything.
I'll test a few more when i get home, just confused as to why this one i've got doesn't work.
Hi people, i tried to connect xperia z1 to samsung TV via USB cable that i got with phone, but TV does not recognize the phone. On my phone it says that phone is connected but nothing happens on TV.
any help?
Use compatible MHL cable which connect your phone micro usb to your tv:s hdmi.
So, when I bought my Z3 Compact it had KitKat, and OTG was working perfectly, then I updated to Lollipop when it was released, OTG stopped working. same with Marshmallow, its like it doesnt have OTG. I tried downgrading again to Lollipop and OTG worked again, but stopped working after updating to the newer ones.
After one year, i decided to buy a Z5 Compact, and the OTG on that phone is also not working. doesnt matter the software. I just updated to Nougat hoping that its fixed, but its not, still doesn't work.
P.S. I have 2 DIfferent OTG adapters, one MHL cable for TV, and 2 USB OTG Flash drives, one verbatim 3.0 32gb and one Sandisk Ultra OTG 3.0 64gb.
None of them work, I tried using the adapter to connect with an usb mouse, Nothing works. ON BOTH PHONES.
On Z5Compact i pressed on the Detect Usb device, doesnt detect anything.
Can anyone help me?
