[Q] does a factory reset re-lock a currently unlcoked vibrant?

so does a factory reset wipe out the unlock, and re-lock my vibrant to T-mobile?
Depend on how have u unlocked the phone..... I think factory reset with wipe out the unlock coding. In case if the unlock has been rooted & than done than it won't.

[Q] Unlock question

I just purchased a Milestone and it came unlocked I was wondering if I do a factory reset will I have to unlock it again? I'm not sure how it was unlocked as I purchased it used. Also its rooted/Oced from what I can tell as well , do I need to remove the root as well to factory reset it? It's running 2.1 update 1.
If you are talking about the subsidy/carrier lock, it sticks after resets (meaning you dont need to ever redo it again). I always either unlock my phones and buy them unlocked and have never seen a phone relock.
If you mean bootloaders or SPLs, you need to be careful which sbf you flash.
But with a factory reset, the worst you can do is lose data and apps.
Sent from my Milestone using XDA App

It could simply be never locked. Carrier lock is not mandatory phone feature

No need to remove root for factory reset.
You can easily root it, so dont worry, just jump in..

Yay or nay to factory reset

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 Active g870a that I recently unlocked with a code. My phone has been really laggy as of late so I wanted to do a factory reset. Will doing a factory reset kill the unlock code and relock it?
Performing a factory reset will not kill the unlock code.

from Custom back to Stock ROM will lose bootloader unlock or not?

as title....
No, it's unlocked. It locks when you lock it...updating, downgradinging, returning factory settings doesn't change that.

Trouble moving from TMB G973U to unbranded G973U1

Where did i messed up ?
PS : the phone isn't blacklisted
Try doing a data factory reset in recovery. If that doesn't work then reflash the U1 firmware.

Thank you for your suggestion but i've found that it's not unlocked in a permanant way and now it's locked on T-mobile network
You will need T-mobile to unlock it then or contact the forum user on here by the name of iBowtoAndroid he has an unlocking service.
