I got myself an HTC one m7 last week. It was running on android 4.2 and sense 5.0.
I wanted to update it so went to Settings>About phone. There was no option to update. I've attached a screenshot. A friend of mine asked i should install a ruu file but i can't find a suitable one for my phone. it's the hongkong version of HTC one m7 UL. What should I do to update the phone?
And i am having some mic issues too. Some people who i talk on phone can't hear what i am saying properly. Some forums suggested that it gets fixed when the os is updated

hello
a few days ago i received the 4.4.2 update to my htc one, but i wasn't home and without wifi, so i pressed on 'temind me later' button.
three days later, when i returned home, i tried to update my device and it says 'no updates for this device'
now i'm stuck on 4.3.
how can i update it?
original rom, htc one 801n
Update was probably withdrawn as they have found issues with it.
Check out the update thread in the general forum for HTC ONE.

If you cannot find any updates now, the update definitely has been pulled. This has just happened in the Middle East and Africa region, where the 4.4 KitKat update was pulled due to bugs
Hi guys,
I have an HTC M7 - Unlocked, not rooted - and live in Dubai.
Yesterday I had a notification that a new system update was available for my phone but since I was not on WiFi, I opted to download later. When I got home and connected to WiFi, the update was gone. Every time I check for new update now, it says that phone is up to date and no update is available although software information says Sense 5.5 and clearly nothing has been updated.
Is there something I could do? Or is this a HTC server issue?

Hi All,
Being impressed with the talk about Xposed I found an article about it. Via this forum I installed it on my HTC One M7 (which is unlocked and rooted). After the initial install and restart it says there is a new version 2.6.1 and I follwed the instructions for updating. After that, the app-process mentions version "--" while the most recent version is displayed as 58. I tried to uninstall it and do it again but whatever I try, the message that the framework is not active keep appearing? I searched the forum but was not able to find anything about this. A message about an automatic or manual recovery appears but I'm ignorant how to do that...
Can anyone help me with this?
My phone is a HTC One M7 in Dutch (KPN) and runs Android version 4.4.3 and HTC Sense version 6.0 The HTC SDK API-niveau is 6.25
My end goal is to be able to record my calls. If I did anything stupid I apologize for the inconvenience of this post.
Thanks!
I have an untouched HTC One M7 Google Play Edition phone that is stuck on Android 4.4.4. I am not sure what I should do at this point to get lollipop. I tried manually updating the phone by booting into recovery mode and selecting "Apply from phone storage". (I previously manually downloaded the update on the phone). This just quickly flashes "invalid operation" on the screen and the phone reboots. I see that there are many directions I can go from here, but I am not sure which one is best for my phone. I have concluded that Google has forgotten about me and I am not going to automatically get Lollipop. Incidentally, I bought my phone unlocked from Expansys and not from a Carrier. I am currently with Telus.

Anybody?
I just got a HTC m7 801e 16gb version which seems to be for the middle east (dubai especially ) . The phone during set up somewhere states that it is a "test device " and that htc Tell is installed and turned on which helps htc collect information and reports about the phone and can't be turned off. My major grudge is that there is no option for a software update (even under the settings -About submenu) on the phone. The phone comes with:
android 4.1.2 ,
htc sense 5.0
kernel version is [email protected]#1
1.29.1402.25.CL190183 release-keys (build number)
5.12 (HTC SDK API level)
The camera has the horrible purple tint in low light which i just cant seem to get rid of.
Please guys , i need to know if it is possible to run a software update to lollipop or even kit kat on this phone and how i can activate or check for software/firmware update on it since it ( software update ) is not in any options currently on the phone.
Or is it possible to totally root this phone and install a stable custom ROM on it?
Or am i just jinxed because i got a device for "testing purposes" even though it came in a retail box et al ?
