I've been getting random camera failed error messages. But it seems like when l restart my phone the camera will work. From everything I read when the error happens it renders the camera useless. Any ideas?

Uh oh, maybe that problem isn't isolated to Verizon versions after all. Per the announcement, it's a hardware problem, take it in for warranty exchange. Luckily we don't have root yet so they can't blame that (zing).
This is a common problem of S5.

My friend is getting this message popping up about 5 times a day. Any ideas? He is not a root and ROM guy. It may have happened after he sent his phone in for repairs to Samsung.

is it booting to this screen automatically? because this is the download mode which you can get by pressing the volume down+power+home button and if you press volume up on this screen you will get to download mode. If this is happening automatically then it is an issue with USB port. Turn off the phone take out the battery and clean the USB contacts. there is a video on youtube for how to clean usb port. search for it. Send it to service center if still persists.
Hi all!
Got this p970, it was running 2.3.4, rooted it using framaroot. (Woot woot). Installed rom manager and successfully flashed recovery through the app.
I've tried twice now to flash different versions of CM (10 and 7.2, stable versions) with no luck. Get an error very quickly in recovery, forcing reboot. I don't have a screen cap of the exact error wording (which I realize would be helpful) but I seem to recall "prop" showing up a couple times.
Was there any step I missed that is causing this? Any help would be killer, I wanna ditch this iPhone and get back on a droid!

This means that your phone isn't a p970.

Those icons at the bottom of the screen don't look familiar.
What model phone is it?

Happened to me as well. I'm personally curious as to what it is.
@eXplicit815 @Indirect
From what I've read online, it's pretty much an apk that HTC made for logging purposes (?) and due to some glitchiness it expired early, leading to the notification. According to the Sprint forums they're currently talking to HTC about an update or something to fix this.

Simply rooting your phone should not affect anything. What exactly did you do?
Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk
I have owned several android phones and I have rooted very one of them without any major problems.
As to what I did exactly. I followed a YouTube video on how to root using Odin and installing a recovery .

Try your sim in a different phone. If it continues, most likely it has nothing to do with root.
Firstly, I know, I know.. I should have done a fresh install when I upgraded from a N8 to an N9.
I clicked on a link in the stock email app to thank an Amazon customer, and I got the attached.. I was hoping it would show Chrome and Samsung Internet as option. Not sure what happened here. Originally I thought perhaps my device unlocked note 9 had chrome preinstalled but even so I cannot find my own restored copy to delete.

Wow thanks. I did uninstall updates of Chrome and now it no longer shows two of them. However no matter what I do I cannot set or get Samsung Internet to open links from the stock email. Like the one I posted earlier.

Well, I had two instances of Goole Play store, though now it has gone away...
