I have a verizon HTC one. Rooted, Unlocked, and TWRP installed. Ive tried installing numerous roms, the only two that have fully worked are NuSenceSIX and tiKtak Google Edition Plus. If you have any roms you suggest for HTC one on verizon shoot them my way.
ones that dont work are Android revolution HD wont boot at all, until i flash the ElementalX Kernel, then it flashes but i dont get any data what so ever. During instalation on it international version which may be the issue. And ViperOne wont boot at all, just boot loops.
CM11, Slimkat, and Liquid smooth wont even flash. Ive redownloaded each rom several times and MD5 has matched
Before every flash i wipe data, then flash 2.10.605.1 firmware, then the rom, then i boot. ANy idea why they wont work?
First off. Stop flashing kernels/firmware left right and centre just because a rom/roms won't boot up.. that's a sure way to get into a mess..
What RUU was your phone originally shipped with. Have you changed your cid/mid. If so what was your original cid/mid.
What TWRP Version are you running..
Did you make a backup of your original system
What kernel are you on at this moment.
Post a fastboot getvar all and a screenshot of your bootloader.

So im jimmy. hey. Ive been on this site a while but never post anything. Why? because i can read directions and definitely am not a noob .
Anyways im stuck with my vivid.
I have HTC Unlocked it.
I successfully perm-rooted it.
I also have successfully S-off'd and installed the Juopunut H boot.
As well as sim unlocked my vivid.
I decided i didnt want to mess with any of the kernel mumbo jumbo or roms because i was happy with stock.
But the bluetooth glitch was driving me nuts so i decided to change roms.
I first experimented with a kernel just to see if i fully understood the procedure. Since i was s off i just flashed to CWM but it didnt work.
First, my wifi wouldnt work.
Then i tried the hboot method.
I got stuck in the boot loop. Cleared the cache and everything and nothing worked.
Tried fastbooting and its like it wants to work, it will load up to the preparing apps screen and then freeze on 1 of 8.
I tried flashing the stock rom over the kernel and the wallpaper comes up and the taskbar but thats it.
After that it restarts.
Ive read almost all the threads but no one seems to give a direct answer to this issue.
I REALLY WANT TO AVOID HAVING TO RELOCK AND RUU FLASH.
but if thats what i have to do then i have no choice.
Clearly if that is my only option how do i go about re installing the oem locked hboot?
EDIT:
Ok i got my phone to boot up again by installing the stock deodexed rom. But when i try to install the kernel by faux123 thats when my phone starts acting up.
Note that i am S OFF with the Juopunut hboot and the kernel should work with any rom.
I can flash this kernel through CWM or even fastboot it but no luck
Well ya can't use a different kernel than provided with the ROM for the stock rooted firmware. Extract the boot.img from the .zip and fastboot flash it and then flash the ROM after wiping all the usual partitions.
You should know this stuff if you've been lurking and reading for a while...

Youre right. I was able to do exactly that last night.
Thing is... i decided to go with the raiders rom, flashed it, installed the faux kernel then after reflashed the kernel after the install
via fastboot... it worked last night. wifi and everything.
BUT this morning i go to use my phone and the wifi was stuck yet again on turning on
I'm having problems with custom roms. I came from O.M.J version 1.4. Everything was fine and then I decided to format everything with CWM by Philz http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2201860. Attempted to adb push the Android Revolution HD v10 rom, but it threw an error out. So I side loaded it instead. After the install was complete I find it only boots to fastboot mode because my recovery is now gone and there's no OS. After lots of googling I learn to use fastboot command, flash a few recoveries, and end up back on TWRP to load my nandroid backup. Even with my nandroid the phone would not boot past a few seconds into the OD. Only way the phone works is if I run the stock RUU. Somehow it only works with stock RUU because if I go back to anything else the phone won't connect to the sprint network. I only get so far into the setup and it goes thru boot loop. I attempted to relock/unroot and go thru the whole steps again to flash a custom rom and I'm stumped.
To top it all off I end up posting in General instead of the Q&A. It's been a long night sorry.
fixed my problem by flashing from the oldest ruu. that let me flash my nandroid backup and have it running.
Just so you know, Android Rev. 10 doesnt support Sprint yet. Which carrier did you choose on the install?

International. I was kinda suspicious about it, but they had posted sprint compatibility first post. Mostly because of this misleading post FAQs
6. Can I flash this ROM on my T-Mobile / AT&T / Rogers... variant?
Yes, you can. The ROM will work on all the variants except Sprint, as it has some significant differences. Sprint is supported since version 9.4.

Anyway if someone happens to install the international roms. In order for me to return to the previous custom roms I had to flash Sprint_HTC_One_m7wls_1.29.651.7_RUU then flash the custom rom O.M.J v1.4 or like me do my Nandroid backup in which both were 1.29.651.7 based. The biggest problem I had was after installing the International roms I lost my recovery. A simple "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" with the recovery.img of choice worked out for me.
Hello, I have an HTC Desire C, Fido. I have unlocked the bootloader and installed CWM recovery. The problem I have is no rom I have flashed has successfully booted. It seems I have to turn S off. I have seen methods to do so but not on my Hboot version.
Is it possible to turn S off on Hboot 1.28?
There is no S-OFF on our phone.
boot.img have to be flashed via fastboot
S off doesn't affect ROMs at all, you must be doing something wrong
I have been flashing the boot.img that comes with the rom I got, Nameless 7.4 build1. Here are the steps I take. First wipe all data though recovery, then flash boot.img, then flash .zip. Upon first boot, there is either a boot loop or boot's to a point of "optimizing applications" then restarts.
What is the best rom for use in Canada? I just installed Nameless 7.4 but it freezes and the first HTC splash screen. I dont want stock.

Hi,
I do have a Desire C from Virgin Canada.
I have tried other custom roms - nameless and revolutionmod. Revolutuionmod is better, but I found it unstable. Dont know if the instability came from the rom itself or the kernel.
After a lot a search I found the best option, for now, to return to the stock rom.
I have removed all the junk (with titanium backup) and the phone runs fast and smooth, with quite good battery life.
Suggestions/warnings:
- apply the ota update, if any quickly and BACKUP your working rom; if you modify the rom, or the recovery, you will not be able to install the ota update
- if ever you'd like to go back to stock rom after mdifying rom/recovery, this would be not possible for now because there is not any canadian stock rom for desire c
- if you install any custom rom, the odds are that the wi-fi will not work; you have the flash a custom kernel, such as prometheus kernel from nikhil, to make wi-fi functionnal.
Sense based ROMs will have WiFi with stock kernel, cm based ones won't even boot with a stock or sense kernel.

I personally hate sense so I went with revolution senseless rom 3.5 because wifi was borked in most others but the amazing devs found a fix for it so you might want to wait for all the patches to get applied to the roms to get wifi working before you make your choice. I also experienced some difficulty when I first rooted a desire c and you're having the same difficulties it seems. My problem was in the kernel. Eventually I just flashed completely stock everything with no mods tweaks or anything special and and booted right up. Try not to do anything fancy till you get the hang things
Let me know I you're having further troubles and I would be glad to help you!

For me wi-fi didnt work. Once I flashed nameless rom, then no stock kernel returned the wi-fi back, even if I restored the stock rome backupd earlier. Flashing prometheus kernel brings wi-fi, regardless of the rom (nameless, revolutionmod, stock).
If I flash a stock rom, with its stock kernel, then wi-fi works.
well fwiw i am in canada and had no issue at all with desense rom,and just flashed the cm10 rom yesterday and lovin it!!
To start off, I'll write down a history of my phone's problem. It had me scratching my head for over 1 week already and I still can't resolve it. I've been non-stop searching all over the net for solutions, and unfortunately it's still problematic.
Before the problems started, this is the state of my phone:
Stock HTC Rom 4.1.2 ver. 1.29.1540.3, rooted, custom recovery TWRP.
My phone initially hanged after receiving a text message. So I thought it just crashed and just needs a simple reboot. But unfortunately, after a reboot, it was just stuck at the "HTC quietly brilliant" splashscreen. But it could go into bootloader. So I went into recovery to restore from a backup point. But the restoring process failed, and worse, it wiped my current OS off.
So I went over the net to search for a copy of the stock HTC rom. then I found the specific RUU, from bugsylawson's, for my phone. And, at last I thought, the phone was back to normal. But unfortunately again, when I tried to re-download all my apps from google play store, after installing a few apps, my phone crashed again. the crash would reboot and enter into the OS but after a few seconds, it would hang again and reboot until it doesn't get into the OS anymore.
I went further research and studying about android terminologies to better understand the state and problem of my phone, and I came up with the idea to try to install a famous and stable custom Rom. I chose Android Revolution HD 13.3, which runs a custom 4.2.2 jelly bean. After successfully flashing the rom, I was so happy that everything went back to normalcy. So again I tried to reinstall the apps from play store. and everything worked fine. then after about approx. 18hrs, the problems started to show up again. My phone would hang while I was using it. And it would restart. sometimes it would just force close an app that i was using (in this case, I was using the "Internet" app and camera app). And after rebooting by itself a couple more times, it would get stuck in the "HTC quietly brilliant" splashscreen. again.
I tried several times to re-flash the custom Rom, and it would flash successfully everytime. And just to make sure i did the correct steps before flashing a new rom, I would like to enumerate what I did:
-wiped data, system, cache and dalvik cache partitions
-flashed custom rom via TWRP.
After everything I've tried. I'm starting to wonder if my phone has factory defects. I'm pointing to three parts of the hardware: processor, flash drive or cache. I'm wondering if the cache is a hardware or software based, and if it is a hardware, could it possibly be damaged physically and can't be repaired? How do I checkdisk the flash drive to make sure that i don't have bad sectors in it? How could i also try a diagnostic test of the processor to make sure that it is not faulty and does not overheat?
I'm new to android debugging. I would gladly take any logical solutions to help solve my problem. I'm pinning my hope on this forum before I finally contact HTC to claim a warranty or anything.
Hi can you download TeamViewer so that I can flash the latest 4.3 firmware on your device, after S-Offing

Hi Matt,
First of all, thanks for the very quick reply.
Uhn matt, I don't mean to annoy you with questions. But are there any other solutions without S-offing my device? And if possible and if it's not a hassle for you, may I ask what your possible might be? (Could you please enumerate it?)
I would greatly appreciate it if we could discuss the procedures first before actually trying to fix the issue.
You'll need to S-Off to flash the 4.3 firmware, and you want to be S-Off now as you can't use the exploit on the newer hboots. I will S-Off, flash 4.2.2 firmware, flash 4.3 firmware, then flash 4.3 Sense stock rom, then you can s-on if you want

I see. How is the new Hboot different from the old hboot? And if anything goes wrong, could I still go back to the old hboot?
To what firmware version is it going to be upgraded to? Will it have the same radio?
Just to clarify, we're CHANGING firmware version, not UPGRADING right? Is it because we're changing to different region's firmware so that i could just download an OTA update of newer stock roms? Correct me if I'm wrong.
Bad boyz current rom
Updated firmware
Super CID
Rooted (obviously)
S-off
adb reboot-works
adb reboot recovery-works
adb reboot bootloader-works
Fastboot reboot- works
fastboot oem rebootRUU- works
RUU-no worky, says usb device not attached even with current htc drivers
Google unable to connect to server after wipe cuz i turned blinkfeed back on and had to push OK a gizzilian times due top FC and did factory reset.
I can go to dropbox thru browser and install app backup/restore and than restore all apps, but it still fails to connect to google servers as i input info from new device (custom rom) and want to start fresh. I dont care if it wipes internal storage (learned long ago how to keep nothing on device that can't be restored off device)
Yes i wiped everything twice (except system and storage, been there done that nightmare)
So.... Bone stock (any version) rom that can be flashed in recovery......
Barebones back to stock is going to require an RUU. Did you make a nandroid of stock before you rooted the phone or is that how you got it?
If you're looking for rooted stock for most recent 5.03.651.3 rom, go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2766604

Nope, i'm looking for 100 persent stock RUU bone stock RUU flasable in recovery.
I'm going to go back to roots (and i don't mean ROOTED)
Let's say htc evo. You could take the RUU and extract it in rar, now adays it would be 7zip, take the rom and name it to pmg.3400(example) and put it on sd card, then flash it in bootloader. That no longer exists. I have the vary first bone stock htc one sprint rom, and have extracted rom.zip from it, and it wont flash from recovery. I need to.
Looking for old timers who know what to do with this. I don't want rooted version that will flash in recovery, i have that already and fighting to pull stock OTA update out of it to flash in recovery. There has to be someone here that has had the 1st edition sprint android (hero, or evo 1st edition) that knows what i'm talking about.
Yeah, that's the unfortunate side effect of these phones and no longer have an SD slot. And believe me, I remember the Supersonic days. OG EVO was my first HTC device. EVO LTE after the fact and now this phone. Tinkered with other HTC models for other folks as well.
There is an offchance that having SuperCID not matching for Sprint could be a culprit too. I was checking out a few threads about that after I read your reply. As far as some help from someone that is savvy with the M7... BD619 knows his stuff. PM him.
