That's just for recovery and download. I mean this guide

And right now what happens with trying to get into factory reset?

Oh with this guide i flashed the rom but still tha same bootloop and no factory reset this flash tool look like to update the rom and not a clean install

You're right it doesn't factory reset, but again what happens when you try to boot into factory reset. After that guide the volume down and power should work. Are you releasing power when lg pops up then immediately hitting power again? Are you starting this sequence from completely powered off?
Sent from my LG-D959 using Tapatalk
Yeap completely off and not conected on usb, is there any possibility the factory reset been damaged ? The phone is root but in my g2 i got in factory reset immediately

sometimes the phone almost start and i can see my lockscreen
noone can help??
- Hook it in to the PC and then spam the "adb reboot recovery" command until you get it to go to the recovery.
- If you're trying to get into one of the modes, it's a little finicky. You want to make sure it's turned off completely first, and then try to do one of the power+volume combos.
- Once you get it in download mode, follow the thread that talks about the factory reset with the LG tools. PAY ATTENTION TO THE INSTRUCTIONS! They're important.
- If you were in the San Antonio TX area, I'd show you what to do. Maybe someone nearby can help. It might take a few tries, but it's not that hard to recover from. At least you -have- a bootloop. I'm stuck with nothing.
First of all i am in greece , i haved tried the adb reboot recovery nothing happens. What do you mean by "lg tools"?

if you have already installed the 4.4.2 then you need to enter in the settings / general / backup and reset / factory settings / reset phone / erase everything-but this option delete all from your phone(photo, music itp.. totally everything) when you do it, phone will reboot and erase all from your phone and when erase reboot - I always hold volume+ then phon going download mode and go to 4.2.2

Wat exactly option you seen in rcovery?
Can you post pic of recovery?
And are you sure you are in recovery mode?
Switch off device
Press Home + Vol up + Power
release power once you see samsung logo
now you will have few option and select wipe data (select with vol up/down)
enter choice with Home if you are on GB/ power if you are on ICS
I can't do anything at this point. What I can see is on the picture. Before that I just press volume up + power and home, from there factory reset, wipe everything and this is how I came to what you can see on the picture. Any suggestions

Hey guys! My Z has been awesome these past few months and w the recent 4.2.2 update, its been PERFECT. I finally rooted it last week and installed CWM for locked BLs. However I haven't been able to boot to recovery so I downloaded an app called Quick Boot (Reboot ). The thing is, when I selected "boot to recovery", my screen went black and now I can't start my phone!
The LED also does not light when plugged in, and I've tried every possible button combination with no results.
Please help! Thanks!
Try holding power and volume up. You should feel a vibration and the phone should restart.

Hey I tried that, and also all three buttons and power + volume down, but none of them gave any response whatsoever. :crying:
You could try flashing a stock rom with no wipe with flashtool.

Just grab one of the generic 423 ftf available in the general section. Make sure you follow part 6 of the tutorial regarding keeping your data.

Your phone doesn't need to be booted to use flashtool. Just give it a try. If it doesn't work, you could try doing a repair with SUS - http://www.sonymobile.com/in/tools/update-service/
As for that app, I doubt it has bricked your phone. Any app that has a 'reboot to recovery' option will not work on our device as we do not have a recovery partition. There is a fix for this in the original development section that allows 'reboot to recovery' to function properly.

What the hell, I'll try help. If you're in windows 8 you need to install the fastboot drivers booting without driver signing, what os are you on? if you need more help reply or check my profile for my skype user.
Try to push pwr + vol down to enter into flasboot.
You should also try pwr + vol up until the phone vibrates 3 times. That's a hard reboot.

4.4 is faster than 4.3 unlock your bootloader and install a custom recovery and a Rom
So as LG-P880 flashing instructions were too much hassle for my taste
Here it is a very simple way to upgrade/downgrade your phones easy peasy
Everything will be gone so backup first!
Download this:
Mirror 1:
http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=01589528474127578975
Mirror 2:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/wu50af8uh99air7/P880-Flashtools.rar
Unrar and copy your downloaded new firmware inside LG Flash Tool 2014 folder
Browse to Driver folder and install/double click LGUnitedMobileDriver_S50MAN311AP22_ML_WHQL_Ver_3.11.3.exe file.
Shutdown and remove SIM&EXTSDCARD from the back of the phone. Leave battery in-place don't take it out.
Press and hold Vol(-) connect usb cable coming from pc->download mode
Run LGFlashTool2014.exe
Selections
CDMA or 3GQCT doesn't matter really
DIAG
KDZ file location
then select preferred flash mode
Normal Flash: Flash ROM without losing any data. Only use this when you need to fix system error. Beware of boot loop when flashing ROM that differ from current ROM on your phone or MOD ROM.
CSE Flash: Choose this option when you need a fresh format. All data will be gone. It's suitable for upgrading or downgrading ROM or simply use this when you need to back to Stock.
Done, enjoy!
Update:
If you get
This mode is for data backup at service center ...
Click to collapse
in recovery repeat flashing the KDZ and you will get the stock recovery this time.
Wow, thx Demetris, you are my savior just in time.
With the online upgrade the phone is always stuck in a bootloop and the old offline method just didn't work as it gave me a file extract error, although I know I've done everything correct (maybe the issue was leaving the sim and sd card inside or selecting 3GQCT?)
Btw and fyi, the CSE method is only available if CDMA is selected.
Thanks for making this fast and simple tutorial that even works ^^
Thank you for the great tutorial. I tried exact accordance with my LG-P880 to update. Unfortunately it did not work, the device starts but then remains at the LG logo, no further reaction. Restart / reset no improvements. Options in Android System recoveryy <3e> do not work. Do you have an idea how I can still save my beloved P-880?
Use CDMA and select CSE flash. After update and phone sticks at lge logo remove battery hold vol +(99% of times you need to use - but for me was +) and press power on. On stock recovery factory reset and now phone will boot
I did and the unit freezes. The figure Android is flat and shows an exclamation mark.

Reboot phone

I think that you must see that options when enter recovery(vol- and power button),then using volume buttons select factory reset and confirm with power button. I also have bootloop after flashing kdz but after factory reset phone boot properly.
BTW i use flash kdz tutorial not that method from Demetris

Everything is as per factory settings no rooting no nothing.
If the digitizer is broken, probably not much you can do. If the screen can still be pressed, you can reboot to recovery and do a factory reset. Hold volume down + power and then reboot to recovery and choose to factory reset
