very interesting... i can to do a test...
If this are a solution Maclow could insert many baseband in the same image... when the device boot switch to right modem.bin... or you can build 3 image for support all models of 8190

Basebands

I know out there is a bunch of baseband to flash through Odin. What about make them flashable?. What for?, for example I flashed Enox and Benz roms that are not for my specific model (L) and my phone boot without a problem, but just get not network signal. So I was guessing that will work If I flash my baseband (lubama1) over the one that came with the rom. Will the rom work without a problem I think, cuz that is what I did in my Atrix 4g times.
Why flashable, just to do it on the way. If someone can help me making my stock baseband flashable I will appreciate it.
Thnx
I'm pretty sure those roms doesn't change your modem, but only system files.
Why it doesn't work is probably because the config is for i8190 and not i8190L modem.
Open the rom.zip and see if you find a modem.bin in there.. I think not.

even if you flash your baseband i think it will not work. wrong rom to your variant
any way, if you want, attach your baseband to make it flashable via odin.

[Q] How do I flash a rom without overwriting the baseband and RIL?

Question is in the title. Have at it!
Tick exclude baseband on flashtool.

Flashtool only seems to be able to flash FTF files. It won't flash a zip, or the uncompressed files.

Yes...
Just flash the .zip in recovery that you want to and if you want to keep a certain baseband or LTE then flash a stock ftf (with the baseband you want) in flashtool and exclude everything EXCEPT baseband. That will then just change the baseband to the one in the ftf and as long as that ftf has the baseband you want then you will be OK.
Baseband and RIL is part of a ROM.
If you want to preserve baseband and RIL from another ROM, change modem files in /system/etc/firmware and /system/lib/libril-qc-qmi-1.so in the ROM zip.

Can firmware files be switched out just that simple, or do I have to edit some kind of config/list of the files so that they are recognized by the flashing mechanism? Is there a way of finding out which stock firmware is absolutely necessary to stay for the device to work optimally?
Also, can the kernel of a locked bootloader phone be updated if the newer kernel is official and unmodified, which is to say it came by official manufacturer means? In my situation, my phone notified me that 9.1.A.1.140 was officially available for my phone which I could not successfully update because CWM Recovery on my phone was an issue for it. After flashing my phone with SEUS to reset it to factory default, it now claims that the version I already had before, 9.1.A.0.489 is now [somehow] the most recent. The only discrepancy is that it is a Rogers phone, but the only FTF I could find for the exact same model is from a Bell phone. They use the exact same hardware, and most likely same baseband (seems to work just fine), but ofcourse comes with a few different vendor apps.
Yes, you can just change those files (I changed whole firmware folder), flash newer radio and newer kernel with flashtool.
But RIL stays almost unchanged in JB versions (if you compare it in editor), so it is probably not necessary to change it.

When I try to flash the FTF over the ROM I get an error saying there is a SIN header mismatch.
The exact error:
ERR_SEVERITY="MAJOR";ERR_CODE="0019";ERR_DYNAMIC="SIN header verification failed";
Hello wisemen,
On a very related note, I would like to flash just my baseband in recovery from a zip (I've never used the flashtool). Is there a baseband repository for the Xperia T anywhere (LT30p model)? If there is, it seems to have evaded the search engines.
Background:
I'm doing this to fix the broken speakerphone and call echo in CM10.1.3.
Thanks in advance.

No. But if you download a ftf for your phone then you can exclude everything EXCEPT baseband to have the same effect (Ensure you UNTICK all the wipe options as well.)

[Q] What about upgrading baseband (JB 4.3)

Hey,
I'm planing to upgrade my Xperia T from 4.1 to 4.3.
Filesystem will be updated through CWM, as well as the kernel. But what about the baseband ?
I only see some comments about using Flashtool to update the kernel (if it's not available in the zip file that will be use to upgrade filesystem with CWM). But when I see some screenshots from people using JB 4.3, in the "About the phone" section, the baseband ends with *-60 when on my JB 4.1, I'm still with a bseband ending with *-56...
Bump
No one tried to update the baseband?
Why don't try? Get an FTF file from .199 4.3 rom from sony and flash only the baseband
I've discovered that every ROM has its own baseband number in About phone and flashing just the baseband from another ROM has no effect on that but does affect your phone's ability to connect to the data network.
@silasje1
I'm not ready for the upgrade but fore sure, when I will be, I will update the baseband. I just would like to know if there is a particular reason why nobody speak about that...
---
And from what I know, yes the baseband is related to the ability to connect to a network. But maybe not only, I read that the baseband of a Samsung has something to do with the GPS.
Anyway, as upgrade from 4.1 is a major upgrade, I think that it's better to upgrade this baseband.

Bro I tried flashing persues kernel cause somewhere I have read that by flashing persues kernel you can get the phone back to normal.
So I flashed the kernel and after that it showed me baseband number but imei was showing me only 0 nothing else.
I updated the phone to 4.4.4 so check it will work or not but was of no use.
Can u help me by giving me the link of a complete stock with all the file for GT-I9305 uk version.
Hi,Mustakim_456,I would recommend you first to try this method-flash Param.bin from this thread:http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...warning-guide-backup-restore-imei-nv-t1946915
It's simple and quick, using Odin.Good look.If this doesn`t work, try to flash ROM stock from here:http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9305
You will find versions 4.1.2;4.3 and 4.4.4.

[Q] Baseband version gone

i accidentally wiped out the baseband and imei partitions and hence continuously facing problems, while on stock rom, baseband comes back, but while flashing other like as cm 11 and cm 12.1 my baseband sets to null. Need a solution for this as i want to use cm 12.1 . Please help..!!
While you are on CM12.1 or CM11 does your device have the IMEI or its blank ?
You can also try to flash baseband after flashing CM.
Try this if it works for you.
there is a thread which tells you to make "mp0b_001" file which carries IMEI and just copy-paste and restarting will do the job.
SOlVED
Solved by flashing the nv ram file thanks
