2. I want to know whether sweep panorama is possible for our phones.

Bye!
Why you want to delete?
It does not free up internal storage, only free rom storage.
You need to make sure before you delete camera that you another camera apk is set to default, if its not your camera wont start...and browser you can delete since there is no harm to your phone if you delete it.
P.S. Try and see you can always copy them back from another rom...

yes u can delete browser.apk, not sure abt camera, cos i never tried myself
I doubt about camera, because some apps uses default camera app to take photos (e.g. WhatsApp)
Is it true if I delete these files, it will not increase internal memory?

Yap, it's true.
The files you want to delete live inside of /system/app, so it's the /system partition.
The things that eat up the internal storage space are the user apps installed in the /data partition (EDIT: and the application data the apps store in /data/data).
If you want to reclaim internal storage you better move apps to the SD ... though keep in mind that they won't automatically come back in case of a Full-Wipe (though you will still find parts of them sitting around on your SD).
Thanks very much for everyone's help! If I have any more questions,I think I will just ask here...

Hi guys, I know it is possible to install the games in gameloft external sd, if you wanted to know how to install gameloft games without being in the external sd too?
Your post doesn't make any sense??? The thread title does though so ill answer that.
Cm7 by default uses the SD card (ext) for games apps etc.
Stock rom is more complicated and involves patching the APK im fairly sure.

It is already mentioned in other threads but if you download GL to SD (app is in Market) you can install gamedata to ext sd
One thing you have to do is start the game from GL to SD app.
And you need a rooted phone for this to work.
Hey guys, it appears that am a super noob but I actually need some help. My acei is my first Android device meaning am new to this platform.
I being someone who likes a lot of apps being installed at once have the usual memory limit error on my device after some time. So i sorted out into rooting and installing apps that can move applications to sd. I was advised to use link2sd because with it I could install an unlimited number of apps depending on my ext partition and it has many more advantages over the usual app2sd.
(at least, that was what I was told).
But now I have it installed and it seems the info above is all wrong cause my apps are being linked fine but there data are still in the phone memory. Even some apks still exist in the phone partition, i checked it with root explorer. I understand that moving the app data would make my device operate slowly but still the dalvik cache is also much large when I viewed it in the phone partition with root explorer.
Now, my actual problem is that I have just 41 linked apps and 35 installed on sd but still my DROID complains that the memory is low and i cant even update some apps from the market. I keep on clearing my Facebook data over and over but now I finally uninstalled it but still yet my dictionary uses much data and phone keeps on complaining.
I know I can't evade keeping my data on phone partition If I want a faster device but can't I reduce the dalvik cache which is on the phone memory cause it seems it has the largest occupancy of the phone memory. I have a 8gb memory card and I used 1gb as sd ext and there still about 700mb left. Would this space just be of waste? Can't I find a way through this?

And besides I saw some scripts in the forum that could do the work of link2sd but can they do it better? I am actually confused on what to do next as my phone just keeps complaining after I run any app. Please i need advice on what to do next? Thanks.

I highly recommend you using [Script](29/10/2012)Cronmod / Data2sdext (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1955422)
Follow instructions in thread.
When I first made EXT partition I installed Link2SD, I linked all apps and instead of internal memory getting decreased it became full. I used this Script (CronMod Unofficial+Data2ext+By Styrke.zip) And it automatically moved EVERYTHING to SD-Ext, I have 97 user apps installed and 22MB Internal memory used!

You must thing about some custom ROM with small data partition used. Think about some barebone soft like simplicity or AceCream. Don't remember what ROM is small but I have same problem as you and I use xxli1 deodexed by alucard. right now I don't see any barebone ROM xxli1 (newest original) so I decided too deodexed original ROM and delete some things in my way. Remember in link2sd are options to move some data, cache and dalvic-cache adter instalatio in menu -> more. There is in that menu options to clear cache and dalvik-cache (it is only remove uninstalled apps.
Sorry for my English

I understand you but my ROM is small enough and has free space left but it's for only apps I want to run as system apps. I have attached a picture of link2sd storage info page. Not that my ROM doesn't have enough space and my sd ext too is spacious but my internal memory is the problem.
As for what you said on the menu –>more of link2sd, i have clicked on all the options earlier. Sometimes before now it worked but now it doesn't clear anything again as there is nothing to clear again. That's what it's always responding now. So i believe it's a dead end with link2sd. Though for reference purposes, am using deodexed xxla2 by rajrocks. Thanks

Yes, I think I don't have any other option than to use one of those scripts on the page but I think the one you recommended would move my app data to sd ext but it was probably stated that if I use it my device would reduce in speed. I don't want to have a laggy device, so I think I would go with the other one that moves dalvik cache, local and app since it seems my dalvik cache is the one taking up most space-113mb.

Yep, am going to try one of those scripts but first of all I have to flash Rafael's latest kernel that supports init.d and i have xxla2 deodexed by rajrocks but I don't know if the rom supports init.d?
If I flash Rafael's latest kernel, would I need to back up my ROM and restore it after the flashing?
And one last question, would I have to still install link2sd back after installing the script?
Am sorry my questions seems too much but I don't want to make any irreversible actions. Thanks all

Install the CronMod Unofficial-By Styrke.zip, it will not make your phone lag, but my doesn't lags a bit I have installed CronMod_Unofficial+Data2ext+By_Styrke.zip, He said it MAY lag.
No you dont need to restore your rom, just make a backup in case anything goes wrong, I think if you install the kernel successfully then cronmod will work fine you dont need to worry about init.d support. No, you dont have to install link2sd, the script automaically moves everything to sd-ext
Yep, thanks for replying. I just looked over Rafael's thread first page now and I don't seem to understand how to go about flashing the kernel.
And he said the kernel comes with razodroid. Is it the 2.5?
I read something about him recommending e3 recovery over Cwm recovery. I don't understand what he means there?
Can someone please put more light into these? thanks

No, the kernel doesn't comes with RazoDroid, you may have gotten confused between RZ Recovery. Currently there are 3 Recovery Softwares available for our phone, namely E3 (Stock Recovery), ClockWork Recovery (CWM), RZ Recovery (RZR). Just download any of the Recovery flash file and follow the instructions accordingly, you will install the kernel and recovery without problems. Good Luck!

Hey, I have flashed Rafael's latest kernel and the modules but now am getting random reboots.
Is there a fix for it or I did something wrong. I rebooted into e3 recovery and flashed the kernel, booted and saw that it was flashed. I went back and flashed the modules and now I have gotten my first random reboot. Besides am running stock deodexed ROM my rajrocks. Please i need help on this. Thanks
EDIT: I didn't clear/wipe anything in my recovery.

The latest kernel isn't that stable, its either you reflash the kernel and change your min CPU frequency to 312mhz or you flash an older version of the kernel. Besides, you didnt specify how you went about doing it and what you were on before flashing the kernel. Reflash the kernel, either through e3 (recommended by Rafael), cwm, rz or you can flash through Odin. The flash files are given.
If I helped you, hit thanks.

I'll try with changing the CPU frequency , and see what happend, hope it's gonna be allright. But afterthat i will try the memory hack, that is why i want that kernel so bad !
For what it's worth, I use Link2SD to link the apk/dex/lib and symlink the seriously large (~40mb for C4Droid, for example) data files (/data/data/...) myself.
LINK just dex and lib files
I have two Questions:
With many apps directly installed on sd card, how do i link just the .dex and .lib files to sd card?
and secondly Does linking apps to sd card affect the sd-card in any way?

Well, it seems you're using link2sd which you didnt actually specify.
Its rather easy, if you've installed so many apps on SD already and you wish to link just their dex and libs file.
You can go about it like this:
*Open link2sd and click on filters, then select SD card to display all apps directly installed on SD card only.
*click on multi select from the options. You will select the apps you wish to link its dex and lib. (You might select all if you want to link all the apps on sd).
*then apply the option to link the selected apps, you would get three options. Don't tick the first one (which is to link the apk), since you don't wish to link the apk. Tick the 2nd and 3rd to link the dex and libs. Just leave link2sd to do the remaining after you click 'link'.
Thats it.
I don't really think linking apps to SD affects the overall performance of the SD card since the linked apps are on a different partition entirely. I had used link2sd before now for a long time and I didn't have problem with my SD cards performance and am still currently using the SD with data 2 sd ext script...
If I helped you, you can click thanks...

May be if it was more informative. Apps don't change size depending on ROM. So have you used any file explorer to see if you have logs filling in or lost+found folder. SD maid like apps.

Hi,
I am running Neo's Homebuild of CM12.1
And right now I am running into space problems.
As you know the internal storage of the XV is formatted as 2GB and 4GB partitions. System and Apps are installed onto the 2GB partition. The 4GBs are mostly unused, since I save my pictures to en external SD-card.
Now I was wondering if it is possible to change the filesystem layout to have just one big internal storage to solve my space issue.
Kind Regards
