My phone is aging. Nowdays it keeps losing the sd card and since I'm using INT2EXT, the moment this happens, I have to wipe data. Even after getting the SD card back, it just doesn't boot after this happens.
The question is: Is there a reliable sd ext script that is compatible with every ROM and survives SD card loss? S2E is not compatible with many ROMs, Link2SD moves the apps, but when installing a new one, it still says out of space.
And I'm using EXT4 on a UH1 16 gig card.
And I've been using this script for over a year without a problem. The reason I'm sure that it's caused by the loss of the card is that when the phone is booted and I remove the card, it goes into bootloop just like when this random loss happens. And I'm using Badass 1.9, so no logcat.
You can use cron mod.

Cronmod INT2EXT. That's what I'm using now.
Best choice is Link2sd plus because it links internal data too so you solve the space error problembut unfortunately you have to pay for it.

If there is no other way... Or maybe I will just keep a backup and try to hold up until I get a new phone. It should happen around x-mas which is not exactly now. I think I will end up with link2sd plus. Thanks for suggesting.
Here is another script for galaxy mini and I don't think that it's INT2EXT and did you partition your SD card with CWM partitioning?

To be honest I don't remember what I used. I repartitioned my sd card so many times with so many tools that I have no idea which one was last.

Hallo...
I've installed 2 different custom ROMs with Stock Kernels by 2 different methods (xRcvry and CWM),
On both ROMs, the SD Card is not detected as if it is unmounted, even though physically it is, and I couldn't mount it even by xRcvry nor CWM..
When I connect the phone to PC, there is no options to connect, or charge, like it usually is.
What have I done wrong..? Can anyone please help me..?
I'd be really grateful.
I tried that multiboot a weeks ago...but my original Rom, the Rom installed to the phone, it mounted my as card...but the problem was the other Rom didn't mounted it.....i couldn't fix it...
Seems like u got a wrong step....
U partioned a swap ?

No, I didn't make any partitions...Should I..?
I didn't make any, because it's not part of the requirements for installing the custom ROM.
Btw, should the SD card be formatted into different file system, such as FAT, and not FAT32, prior to installing the custom ROM..?
From what I found here , the problem seems to be on the SD card class that we're suppose to use.
Mine is the original, which I believe is, class 2.
Could that be the same case as this...?

use card reader to check the format,,your sdcard must be FAT not NTFS
backup(just copy past all your folders) your sdcard then format it
turn on your phone WITHOUT sdcard..than turn on again WITH sdcard
now look..is it still not detect your sd card ,,

I've tried what you instructed (to format it from FAT32 into FAT), but, it's still unmounted (not detected)
Should I format it back to FAT32..?
What did I do wrong...?
Could it really be the card's class...???
Because, every time I flashed it back to Stock ROM by using SEUS, it always detects it.
I think it's sd card class....try a another card, don't buy a new... Just find a one from a friend or

Hi there.
Lately i have tried flashing newer ROMs on my HTC Salsa. I have a Kingston 16GB Class 4 SD card installed into it. Yesterday experimenting with different sizes of second partition for using htc-data2sd-ext3.zip it looks that i somehow damaged my SD card.
I am using MiniTool Partition Wizard Home 7.5 for making partition. After i formatted the card last, it shows the card having 14.62 GB space. But does not create second partition saying that all the partitions should be deleted first. There is no other partition visible in MiniTool Wizard as well as on Windows Disk Management menu. Result : I cant create the second partition and cant flash data2sd_ext3.zip. Otehrwise I can copy data on the SD card and it shows OK and flashes the ROM as well but the same Memory problem .......
Any body faced this situation and has the remedy I will be greatly obliged.
Anotehr problem ,.... .i always experienced lag (slow response to applications) earlier when i successfully created partitions and flashed data2SD. Is that due to my Class 4 SD card (not faster)?
Please help in giving advice on making the speed of data reading faster. Thanks :fingers-crossed:
Lag yes, need a Bigger and higher class card. As for the partitions. That's odd. Did u apply all actions? Its possible the format didn't fully work. But still, that's not happened to me...
What size partition u making? I would only suggest 500mb or less on the class 4 if your experiencing lag issues.

If you re read the first post he has stated he used minitool partition which can only be used on a PC with a card reader.
Mounting the SD via cwm and using that tool isn't generally thought of and not always possible. It wasn't for me anyway.

By several attempts I was successful in reformatting the SD card and making second partition again.
As for the lag issue, I read somewhere there are SD card booster programs. Do you have experience with anyone that is stable and works well to enhance the data transfer speed? Thanks

.
SD-Booster or SDSpeedFix from goggle play, all do the same job.
don't set any higher than 2048 unless you have a top spec class 10 sd the fine pick what u want.
sd-booster is inc in my own roms as stock.

Yes I did exactly that. Never used CWM for formatting or partitioning.
Do u have experience using Link2SD application? I think this is creating problems and crashes. app2SD is much safer and stable application. What do u say?
I only use links2sd for Apks management only, so when I open the app up, u cancel the mount option. If y have accepted it and run data2sd you will have serious problems lol.

Hi
I have partitioned my sd, and used Link2Sd to manage it. I've linked most of the apps that have installed on the internal memory, but I recently realized that my internal memory is full, and the partition is 100% free.
Why is that? Is Link2Sd not recognizing the partition?
What do I do?

Usually, linking apps to sd partition only spares few MB's of phone memory. To get more, (and since you are rooted too), you can directly move the desired app to sd card by using link2sd. This, provides more phone storage. This option is also available in Titanium Backup (if you know)... I too easily move the whole app to sd card. In such case, only dalvik-cache of that app is left in phone memory which is comparatively very low compared to the size of app.
Hope this helps...

Yes, I see that it is quite simple that way.
However, I already have the partition, and if i do that it will not be used.
How can I use that?

Please provide more specifics about how you partition it and which partition layouts you use. Please keep in mind that the FAT32-partition should be on the beginning of the card and any ext-partitions should follow the FAT32-partition.

I have a fat32 partition first and the a ext2 partition after that.
I boot up, change to mtp mode.
reboot and start link2sd
I get to choose partiontype for second partition. I select it and it says to reboot the phone.
When I reboot is when i get to the loop that only shows the sony logo and then loops.
I have tried different partitions with the same result.
fat32, fat 32
fat32, ext 2
ext 2, fat 32
the result has been the same.
I'm beginning to think that it has to do with the app and not being compatible with my xperia v

Link2sd is not supported yet, it has the wrong mount points.
However, you can use titanium to move user apps to the sd card if you are running out of space, but I cant see that happening, I have 1.1gb spare on my internal memory (Not sd cards or internal sd cards, but on phone memory) with 585mb free on the system rom.

I am not sure.
I used to use link2sd a lot on previous phones becuse I needed the space, but I have not tried anything on the T yet as I have not run into storage space problems yet.

Yes. Very easy. Format the whole card to fat32 or whatever. Then just put source as the path from your sd card. Then destination as the original directory. Click move folder.
Put your android/obb there or whatever big directory.

As we all know the android one comes with limited internal storage storage and media (pics, documents, videos) can only be stored on the external sdcard. On the forum there are various methods to swap storage size , however on doing so storage space for media will be limited to fixed 2 gb space currently available for internal storage. I was wondering if it is possible to partition a 32gb class 10 sd card and use 16 gb each for external and internal storage. I wouldn't mind if the internal phone storage would have to be abandoned in doing so.
Has any one successfully done this..
'
Yes you can do that using link2sd.
Check this out.
I have made a 4GB ext4 partition on my 16GB sd card and I keep all my apps stored in the 4GB partition. And 10GB is kept as media storage.

So download the zip file from the attachment. You will find link2sd app and a patcher that makes the app link2sd plus and is totally functional... And other things about link2sd is nicely explained in this site, https://awanstuff.wordpress.com/201...ink2sd-in-any-android-phone-with-screenshots/ Just keep in mind to create a ext4 partition instead of ext2 and you are good to go. And I would suggest you to use high speed sd cards preferably class 10 and higher if you want a smooth experience on your lollipop rom. I use class 10 ultra from sandisk. And my apps run buttery smooth...

I am also using class 4 sd card, it is working fine. Have you formated one partition in FAT32 and another in EXT4
