I am in desperate need of this firmware, currently in a bootloader loop, cannot get to recovery or anything else. Have tried flashing the original stock firmware via RSD Lite and Moto X Toolkit, but I get the following message:
Failed to hab check for gpt_main: 0x35
Failed to hab check for gpt_backup: 0x35
CID Read Failure
Invalid CID status 0x69
CustomerID error. Contact Dealer. 0xdead
No SP Partition found
Fasboot Reason: Invalid CID
Can anyone provide the firmware?
Wait do you have the RSDLite files super, we are in desperate need of them, please upload them somewhere I'm sorry for your troubles though man!

Yes I have the original stock 4.2.2 firmware, before the camera update... I don't think you can flash it if you were on something more recent, but I am uploading right now to my google drive here for those who need it. Should be there in 10-15 min. :good:
I had my moto x with android 4.4.2 and flashe a room stock t-mobile android 4.2.2.
Then I got a notification that an update was downloaded and, when he was going to install, the cell was placed in fastboot mode and at the bottom I appeared in red letters:
downgraded security version
update gpt_main version failed
Failed to hab check for gpt_backup: 0x35
CID Read Failure
Invalid CID status0x69
Customer ID error. Contact Dealer: 0xdead
No SP partition found
Fastboot Reason: Invalid CID
After this, the cell no longer turns on and when I try to give normal powerup I get in red letters:
Load kernel (boot) failed
boot up failed
and not turn on the phone. Please helpme.
You can't flash backwards unless your bootloader is unlocked. You need to flash 4.4.2 again in order for it to work again.

I don't understand how u guys never post b4 asking if its Okay to Downgrade but do it anyways and then post a thread asking to help!! Its done bro! U successfully ruined your Moto X... U CANNOT DOWNGRADE YOUR PHONE!!! U are mostly screwed!
One thing u can try is get your hand on the 4.4.4 fxz for YOUR CARRIER AND PHONE and flash it... It has proved to work for some people... Try it!

Um, you can't flash backwards even if your bootloader is unlocked.
GPT.BIN and MOTOBOOT.IMG get in the way of a safe and 100% successful downgrade.

Dude, there are MANY THREADS posted around here about NOT downgrading once 4.4.2 or above is on your phone.
The only time it was "safe" to downgrade was 4.4 to the 4.2.2 w/Camera update during the SlapMyMoto or RockMyMoto processes. And that was the ONLY TIME.
You have just performed what has bricked MANY phones!
As @Gundabolu SC has said, your best bet now is grab the 4.4.4 SBF for your carrier, and try using MFASTBOOT to flash it. (see option 5 at -> http://mark.cdmaforums.com/MotoX-ReturnToStock.html because the extra steps noted there are needed in this case). If you need the SBF, check -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/general/info-tip-web-sites-official-leaked-roms-t2923347
Seems I found a way to completely erase all data on my phone, with fastboot being the only thing I can get into. Every option in fastboot errors out. There are no partitions. Bootloader got locked somehow and I can't unlock it anymore. I have tried flashing 4.4 and 4.4.2 with RSDLite - errors. My IMEI and SKU are both zero'd out according to the barcodes fastboot menu. Only my serial# remains. It's a big ol' mess
Here's the bootloader https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzDChv5WgeeDSTc2VFYzTTNXaWp4MkR4d0dKcXQzdkxRNlJn/view?usp=sharing
It says:
Code:
downgraded security version
update gpt_main version failed
Failed to hab check for gpt_backup: 0x35
CID Read Failure
Invalid CID status 0x69
CustomerID error. Contact Dealer: 0xdead
No SP partition found
Fastboot Reason: Invalid CID
I think this thread is the closest to my problem: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/moto-x-qa/fastboot-reasoninvalid-cidsolved-t2632386
Can anyone help?
edit:
Figured it out! It was a downgrade issue I think.
I got the official GSM DEV 4.4.4 file from motorola here: https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/bootloader/recovery-images (i had to request the download, took about 6 hrs to get "approved") and flashed that using their own flash.bat in the zip. I also had to use mfastboot.exe and rename it to fastboot.exe so the batch file would work.
So I guess once you upgrade, no more flashing official images that are a downgrade!

Correct. This has been posted about MANY TIMES.... Once you have upgraded to 4.4.2 or above... NEVER attempt to downgrade. If you downgrade you will immediately brick, or set yourself up to brick on the next OTA.
In fact, the only time it was "safe" to downgrade is when meeting the pre-reqs and following the SlapMyMoto process (i.e. 4.4.0 to 4.2.2 w/camera update).
Same problem but after Lollipop OTA update
I have the same problem with a botched install of the recent ghost lollipop OTA update on the Moto X 1056. The only difference is that the boot error message is missing the "No SP partition found" line. Any ideas where I can get the ghost stock ROM to try the fix presented here? I did manage to save the OTA Blur_Version.212.144.2.ghost_sprint.Sprint.en.US.z ip, but I don't know how to us that with fastboot.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Hi all. I'm an idiot. I updated to the 5.0 rom, and tried to downgrade to 4.4.3. It went well, until my device tried to update to 4.4.4. Now I'm stuck with a bootloader (xt1053 30.B7) that says it's locked, says it can't be unlocked, and says
Code:
downgraded security version
update gpt_main version failed
Failed to hab check for gpt_backup:0x35
CID read failure
Invalid CID status 0x69
CustomerID error. Contact dealer: 0xdead
no SP partition found
Please, is there any way to bring my device back to life? I've tried flashing pretty much anything I can get my hands on, but it always fails because the bootloader is locked. I tried unlocking it with the code I got from motorola a while back, but that's not working either. Again, please help if possible.
I'm a jackass. I'm trying the RSD with the newest SBF now.
Hopefully the 4.4.4 will fix you up.

I am not very familiar with how Moto's phone's do their stuff. But, have you tried flashing the stock image for your device? One thing though, if you used the leaked soak test to upgrade your device, your screwed until the official lollipop image for your device comes up.

IF you updated to one of the 5.02 leaks (or soaks as they were called), and got this message when trying to downgrade by flashing an OLDER Moto SBF (like 4.4.4), then you will likely be stuck until a 5.02 SBF leaks.
GPT.BIN doesn't like being downgraded, or attempted to be downgraded.
However, if your bootloader still says 30.B7, I would try flashing the stock Moto Xt1053 4.4.4 SBF using mfastboot by following option 5 at -> http://mark.cdmaforums.com/MotoX-ReturnToStock.html
So the bootloader does say it's 30.b7, but it also says it's locked. And when I try to unlock it, it says fastboot oem unlock disabled. I have tried flashing back to 4.4.4, but I think the updated gpt from 5.0.2 is messing it up.
As a few of us have tried to warn people, and just like the mad rush to flash kit Kat when it came out.... You will likely need to wait for the SBF of 5.0.2 for your device. Not much else you can do at this point.
Sorry for your unfortunate situation.
I managed to get it running again by flashing the gpt of the lollipop files. I'm doing my best to go to the 1053 lollipop build to avert another brick. Thanks all for the help!
And I'm successfully on the XT1053 lollipop build. Let it be known that I'm only on lollipop to avoid incompatibilities due to the new GPT I had to flash. Sorry Motorola. Trust me, I wish I had waited.

I did the same thing with my moto x and now I dont know what to do with it, can you help me?
Does yours say exactly what mine does? If so, flash the gpt.bin from the 5.0.2 zip's root directory, and reflash 4.4.4 completely. Then update using the zip from the other thread.

Can you explain what you did after flashing 4.4.4 with the gpt.bin from 5.0.2. I'm about to do that but am not sure what update in another thread you are referencing.
thanks.
thank you bro, i was really desperate! this must be stickie!
A sticky on how to possibly brick your device with one false move?
Guys, I need a help from you.
I update my Moto X from version 4.4.4 to 5.0.2. I downloaded the file, put it in memory and sent search update. In the end of the process, the unit restarted and does not go more fastboot.
Red is written:
downgrade security version
gpt_mais version update failed
faleid hab to check for gbt_backup: 0x35
CID reader failure
invalid CID status 0x69
customer ID error. contact Deaker: 0xdead
and yellow is written:
Fastboat reason: Invalid CID
I did the procedures to reinstall the 4.4.4, but nothing causes it to be installed, it seems the fastboot was novament blocked.
Please help me out of this, I take a lot of this device.
Thank you!
That doesn't happen when you are stock and take the update, even to the leaked lollipop updates... unless you had tried downgrading, or have mismatched gpt.bin and motoboot.img parts compared to the rest of the rom.
See this thread -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/moto-x-qa/help-moto-x-xt1058-unbrickable-t3110480 Its the same situation. Has info and links that MIGHT help you
