[Q] HTC One Kit Kat Roll Back? - Sprint HTC One (M7)

Hello all. Been a long time. I am stuck. I have the HTC One with Hboot 1.56. Kit Kat came out and will not intergrade with my Pioneer head unit. Basic works, but no appradio. I talked to Pioneer and has to be Android 4.1.2 for appradio to work and the 4.1.2 firmware. So. I unlocked my One and rooted it on the hunt to find a way to roll back Androids Kit Kat and all I have is an unlocked phone. Its been years since I did any custom rom flashing and a lot has changed since. When I got the Sprint update to Kit Kat I didn't know the Pioneer head unit wouldn't work, something about the stereos firmware is not compatible with Kit Kat or its firmware and Pioneer is not sure they will have an update, or when. I guess Im stuck on stupid. I tried to get S-Off.. Nothing worked on Hboot 1.56. Read I have to change the Kernel or flash a custom rom, but I want to stay stock. Any easy way to just roll back using a RUU file? I did it before on the HTC Evo 3d and worked. Like I said, I must be stuck on stupid.. Thanks all.

Phone says S-On, But SuperSU still works??

Hey guys, n00b question here,
I had rooted my phone a while ago (HTC One w/ Beats Audio w/ 4.1 HTC AT&T Sense crap on it) to upgrade to Stock version Google Play 4.3 Version, then lost my root.
Recently, the 4.4 OTA came out, and my phone got ****ed up (literally blue screened) and I had to recover to the AT&T 4.3 Sense version I had put on my phone before the GPE. So now my phone has root access (SuperSU works as good as it used to) but my phone still tells me it's S-On when I go into bootloader mode... what did I do?
What I want to do is get S-off again so I can get stock GPE 4.4
How should I go about doing this?
(btw I have a Mac)

[Q] Simplest way to update to 4.4.2

I looked around question wise, didn't see much.
Anyways, I have a Sprint HTC One - last Summer while on 4.1.2 stock, I unlocked, installed a custom recovery, and rooted it.
I have not really bothered updating, but I decided to take the jump to 4.4. What is the easiest way of doing this?
Can I just download the 4.4.2 Zip to my internal memory, and flash from recovery?
Info:
Sprint HTC One
Android 4.1.2
S-On with the Disable System Write Protection installed.
TWRP 2.5.0.0
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2635051
That should be what you need. So far I don't know if you can flash kit kat firmware but prior firmwares you can.
Sent from my One using xda app-developers app

Make sure your custom recovery is up to date before doing any rom flashing. There were some people that had problems when they tried to flash the 4.3 update on an older version of both CWM and TWRP. They had a problem where the custom recovery touch versions stopped responding to touch.
I just flashed the Bad Boys KK rom without installing a new firmware and everything has been great. But you might want to install at least the maintenance firmware update that came out a couple weeks ago as it fixed some PRL update issues. To flash the firmware you need to do that from a PC connected via usb to the HTC.
Good luck

Rogers HTC One Brick After Sense 6.0 Update

Hey guys,
Trying to figure out how to unbrick it before just calling the Carrier to sort things out there. Long story short, updated to 6.0 (stock firmware) and was working fine. But once I restarted the phone later in the day, it just got stuck on the boot screen. Really sucked...
Tried factory reset in the bootloader, no luck. Also tried to use the RUU for the latest firmware available currently, but for obvious reasons it doesn't work.
Therefore at the very least if someone could point towards the RUU version 5.11.631.8 Rogers, that would be a good start.
Free to any suggestions too! Used to flash roms and stuff when I had the Xperia X10 and the HTC Incredible so just need a brushing up on this stuff.
Also BTW, the Hboot is 1.57 but its also S-ON (never bothered to unlock it)

Moto X not updating to Kit Kat

Hey there,
I recently bought a brand new 1st gen Moto X and its currently running Jelly Bean 4.2.2. When I try to update it, it says "Your device is up to date! No update is necessary at this time.".
I've never flashed a ROM before so its new to me. But could I get a factory Kit Kat image and flash it with the stock recovery? To do that, do I need to unlock my bootloader?
Any help would be appreciated! I'm very sick of Jelly Bean.
Thanks.
What model of Moto X do you have? The model number is listed on the back of the device near the bottom. It will say XT10## where the last two numbers indicate what model you have for a specific carrier.
Your carrier may not have the 4.4.4 update available yet.
Yeah I've got the XT1058 on Rogers in Canada. My sister also has an XT1058 on Rogers, but she has gotten Kit Kat OTA.
I just think it should have gotten Kit Kat by now. Is it risky to flash a factory Kit Kat image?

Nope, not risky. That's what I would do.
Follow the instructions in the "Return to 100% stock" thread. Should take less than 15 minutes. http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/general/guide-moto-x-return-to-100-stock-using-t2446515
Since the leaked 4.4.4 sbf isn't available yet (at least not on droid-developers), I suggest flashing Rogers 4.4.2 ( here is the link: http://sbf.droid-developers.org/download.php?device=0&file=822 )
Afterwards, you can take the update to 4.4.4.
To answer a couple of your questions: Follow the instructions in the linked return to stock thread. Everything you need is in there. You do NOT flash from recovery - you flash using "RSD Lite" or "mfastboot". Also, unlocked BL is *NOT* required to flash your stock, signed firmware. As long as you read the instructions, this should be very simple.
