I'm quite partial to Carbon ROM, however it's Android 4.4.2
Holoblur would be the best AFAIK.

Would suggest to go for Mexico retail stock one.Its the best stable every seen by me.
Here is a few stock roms flashable with cwm: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2209660
Search around the Dev section a bit and try a few out, only you can decide which one is best.
I tried HoloBlur and HoloBlur X,but I kept getting a "Status 7" Error. Anyone have any ideas why? Ive tried everything I could think of. Everything else installs fine.
Status 7 error can occur if you are not running the latest recovery or you have a bad download.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.Hello all thank you for you time. I'm running cm10.1 unofficial nightly build 05.22.13 on my touchpad with the latest adobe flash apk and Firefox app from Googleplay.
The issue that I'm having is my display would go to sleep as configure per my display setting while I'm streaming flash content at full screen. Not sure why this is happening and not sure if this is just my device. I didn't have this issue with cm9. Only notice this with cm10 and now 10.1. Theodd thing is that this issue is also happening with my nook color and nexus 7 with cm10.1
My current work around is setting display to time out 30 mins and touch the display every now and then.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks again
I did a quick search and found this app for you. I haven't tried it, but its worth a try.

Thank you. I went back to cm9 for stability but will keep this app in the back pocket . I was just curious to know if I was the only one experiencing this flash problem or its the same for everyone else. If its just me I wonder wat I did wrong with the install

Flash has never worked well on 4.1+ ROMs on the Touchpad in my experience. Flash isn't supported on 4.1+ but on other devices its still smooth so its a Touchpad Android issue not a Flash issue.
If you want Flash stay with CM9. I went back to CM9 after being on CM10 a while because I wanted stable Flash and couldn't really think of any new CM10 features that I needed.

First and foremost thank you for your input. It is true that flash is no longer supported on 4.1 + but it can and should be stable once installed. One example I can provide is with my nexus seven. With stock rom and latest flash APk installed it runs Smoth no problem but when it is rooted and custom rom installed display issue occurs. There must be some config in the rom where display would remain awake when certain apps are running at full screen. Also its hard to see that its a touch pad issue because this is happening to other devices that I've installed custom 4.1+ rom. I'm currently back with cm9. For stability until cm 10.1 is more stable will switch.

Honestly, there really isn't. Each rom has its own little quirky issues.
PAC has no gps and a goofy Hangouts crash, wifi doesn't like to connect after the screen comes on (turn off then back on)
AOSPA works fine for some, not for others, no wifi for some
Slim has no gps, radio signal is bad, random wifi disconnects (fix like PAC usually, sometimes needs reboot)
CM10.1 gps...
All may have occasional lag, wifi issues, gps issues, random bluetooth issues, no camcorder, no HDR camera -- regular and panorama work
Its hit or miss at the moment. One nightly will be fine, next has crap battery, next has better battery but image banding...
None of them suck, but they might not be for you if you dislike development roms that may be incomplete or have a bug or two. Really depends if the bug is a deal breaker or not.
I still go back to clean ROM or the 4.1.2 mex jb ROM everything works and the batt life is a lot better . Also you can install cwm through ROM manager in the play store . Just use the photon q version . I have been able to flash every ROM with it . Make sure you back up b4 you start installing ROMs .

I'm sure someone will be able to answer this super easily.
I'm new to rooting and ROMs, I just rooted my 4x hd yesterday and after being blown away at how easy it was, I'm now considering flashing a rom.
I've read around that you can get things that let you select the rom you want on boot. I was wondering if I could do this with the stock rom and cyanogenmod?
Do I have to partition the internal storage or something?
Also I'm pretty sure when you flash a new rom you loose apps and other data but can someone confirm this for me please?
And one final question. What's your favourite stable rom for the 4x hd? If I am able to switch between ROMs like that, I might add another I want to get close to vanilla if I can.
I am on version 20a stock rom android 4.2

Hi, Fist Im noob in this Android business so be gentle
First my ROM is Xenon HD v6.9 and I flashed my LG Optimus 4X HD International Edition with iodakX3_v06.zip kernel. Now the phone is on boot-loop. Have tried to clear cache and even factory reset and still the loop.
Could I flash the stock kernel back? If so...how could I do it. Have tried to find the stock kernel for the phone but haven't found it yet.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!!!
EDIT: Restored a full Nandroid backup I did prior and everything is all right. ¿Did I restore the stock kernel also?

Yeah It booted without problems. Just try the version 6.9 cause all the posterior releases cause a bootloop.
here is the link:
h**p://goo.im/devs/demetris/OptimusX4HD/XenonHD/XenonHD-19-06-13-signed-p880.zip
I must say that for me its one of the best ROMs the LG. The performance is smooth and the UI is the best looking. Also it includes almost all the goodies for 4.2.2 (halo, pie, toggles, etc. )I find the phone almost perfect except battery. That was the reason for the flash of the iodak kernel but after it the phone doesn't post.
Still Ill like to know if I restore a full nandroid backup prior to the flash of the Kernel I go back to the stock Kernel?

I couple months ago i got my Atrix HD rooted and the guy said all i have to do now is download the roms and flash them. He gave me the procedure which i follow to the neck and it has worked. Now the problem i have is that im trying to upgrade from 4.2.2 to 4.4 (kitkat) but all the custom ROMS fail, i tried the same with a PAC 4.3 rom which worked partially as the apps kept malfunctioning ("blame tyler XYZ has stopped working"). Is it because im using CWM instead of TWRP and if not someone please tell me what am i missing. i really want a stable 4.4 ROM :crying:
Which ROM are you trying to flash? You might be flashing the nightlies after 06/30. After that date, cyanogenmod and others started using the KitKat bootloader for the unified msm8690 builds, the processor architecture that a lot of moto phones share. Unfortunately, the atrix HD hasn't been officially upgraded to KitKat yet from Motorola. Our atrix HD uses the jelly bean bootloader.
So since 6/30, when they switched to the KitKat bootloader, we haven't been able to flash nightlies (with exceptions in AOSB and some CM and CarbonROM builds).
Try flashing a KitKat rom built before 6/30, then get back to us. It should work if you're using cwm, since I'm using cwm 6.0.4.4 and it works fine.
If you flashed the latest cwm that could cause problems too, since I read its also running off the KitKat bootloader.

CWM works well on the Atrix HD so I would stick with that.
Why not start over by flashing back to stock ATT 4.1.1, take the OTA update, flash CWM in fastboot, and flash a custom KK ROM?

Not a bad idea. Takes time but not much. Try team gummy for 4.4.2 ROM here, make sure you download the M2.0 release, because the M3.0 is KitKat bootloader. Its my daily driver cuz it's light and has pie controls. http://androidhosting.org/Devs/Gummy/moto_msm8960/RELEASE/
99% of the ROMs i've installed haven't worked....I got AOSB to work once....but its not working at all now...I got PXS to boot but kept having FCs.....now nothing gets past the boot logo

FYI, as of a few days ago, CyanogenMod started officially supporting devices still on the JB bootloader (which includes the Atrix HD). See here: https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=moto_msm8960_jbbl
It's what I'm running, and it's great.
Also, if you're having trouble flashing, try using Philz recovery version 6.43.8 (not any later versions). Not sure if CWM supports some of these ROMs or not.

Yes, but I was just trying to say that I know that version of Philz is up to date, and works with KitKat roms. Not sure what version of CWM you were using, or where the support falls. Just a suggestion if you were having issues.

I am using the 6.0.4.4 version directly from the Clockworkmod website. I have been using it to flash the latest ROMs with no issues at all. Backup, restore, formatting, etc. work fine in the non-Philz version.
I must admit that Philz is convenient because it automates a lot of functions.
