Every link I try, it does the same, can any one help work around this, I have not got a clue how to solve it, so I can get flash player on 4.4,rooted HTC One m7 international running viper one rom 6.1 ,this is my first time posting, so I opologise if it's not in the right place...

Hey guys, I need some help, also Im new to this sorta and I apologize if this thread isnt where its supposed to be, anywho i rooted my phone and was installing different roms, just trying them out, i had installed the android rev HD 12.1 rom on to my HTC One and it was working fine, but I watched a couple of reviews on the viperone roms so i decided to switch over just to check it out, i started the flashing and all was going well at first but then it froze for a good while stuck at 0% so i decided to restart the phone... turns out that was a horrible idea because now my back ups are gone and my other roms are missing too. well that was the original problem, I looked around and everywhere they said I had to reinstall my ruu to basically factory reset the phone and the first step is re-locking the bootloader... so i did, now it says "tampered- re-locked" and every now and then it says "security warning." then i started looking for my comapnies ruu and i cant find one... can anyone help?
i forgot to mention i have a T-Mobile HTC One.

Basically, if you want to stay back on root, i suggest you unlock your bootloader again and reflash your custom recovery and move on from there. After that you should flash a stock rom if you want to,by just searching it up in the htc one forums. After you have done that you probably have to start over, which means making a nandroid backup and NOT FORGETTING TO BACK UP. Your roms and all your info will be gone after you unlock the bootloader so remember to back up all your contacts and such into your google acc. Have fun rooting! XD

This is probably the best advice for you.
Just something I wanted to add,
Unlock your boot loader then flash a custom recovery just like the first time you did it.
Then boot to recovery and "adb push ROM.zip /sdcard/ " to get a ROM on your phone, and flash away.

Search for it, I think its under the main htc one general. Stay away from RUU unless you have s-off. You can brick your phone if you don't know what your doing.

You just need to unlock your bootloader again using htc developer page. As long as you can get your phone to bootloader you should be ok. I have never used one of the all in one root etc.. things since it is so easy on htc.
unlock bootloader, fastboot flash recovery newesttwrp.img.
Hello,
I got my HTC One for 2-3 weeks now and yesterday decided to root it since I Jailbroke my IPod aswell.
Today I was trying to install busybox, but without success. So I started to google and found a clip on YT that says that you need to disable SW Protection. And to do that you need to install a zip file that is actually coming from this site. That zip file was meant for the Spirit One version, but I didn't know that mattered and installed it anyway using CWM and I didn't make a backup. After I did that my HTC got stuck on the boot screen. I didn't know what to do and could find anything on the web. So first I did "wipe data/factory reset" That didn't help so I formatted /system and /data. And I think by that I removed the OS ( Android 4.2)
Is it possible to recover my HTC to the state before I unboxed it ? I wouldn't mind unrooting my HTC as well since it's just to complicated for me.
PLS tell me there is a way to do it !!!
BTW - YES I'm a noob, but I rather be that and never do such thing again than basically ruin my HTC since I love it
Just flash a rom. You'll be rooted, no write protection and have busybox.
I second that. Sounds like you have a GSM phone so find a compatible Rom that's pre rooted and flash it. GE 4.3 for example.

just following this now - feeling a little sheepish too
That guide works fine, I didn't make it up
iv posted this question before too and got no replies, only now that its much worse. i just got my new htc one n this is ruining the experience for me. the stock music player and gallery dont show any music or photos even though poweramp and quickpic do. iv tried restarting, clearing media storage(which made it worse since ALL songs n pics r missing now) and iv even tried the sd rescan apps on the market. even tried putting the files in new folders and changing their location. rebooted the phone like 10 times. Can someone please help me out? have never had a software issue for so long on android after posting/searching for so long on xda
I stream 99% of my media content, but I will try and help.
Please let us know what version of Android you're using (4.1 or 4.2.2 or 4.3), if you have gained root access (rooted your phone), and if you are using any custom ROM.
The more information about your phone the more we can attempt to help

So I just found a way to get everything back .
First download a root file explorer (one able to gain root)
then navigate to your root it should be just a "/" then go to /data and then /data/media.
Bam that's where everything is! now just move all the folders to the main sdcard directory, /sdcard or delete the files that are in /data/media if you don't need them anymore.
Good Luck and hit "Thanks" if it helped :laugh:

my phone isnt rooted so no root access :crying:
Plug your phone into a PC and it should mount the phone as an external drive.
Open it up and look in the folders with the appropriate titles (Music, Movies, Ringtones...) and see if your files are there. If they are not, then move them to those folders.
What file types are the media files? (MP3, MP4, M4A, etc...) Apps like PowerAmp (at least the last time I used it) are able to play A LOT more file types than HTC's Music app.
Listen, download android commander on your PC, the website hangs on Chrome so search for the .exe and a few xda forums should pop, try and find a media fire link, I will try to link it. Then just navigate to where I said. Btw you should root. It's way better and the warranty can be restored for carrier not HTC. But yeah let me know how it goes

Here's the link http://www68.zippyshare.com/v/46885598/file.html it was a zippy not a mediafire lol
I had the same problem when I just got my phone, copied the music into the correct folder and the stock media player would not see it. other music players did see it fine but I wanted to use the stock music player.
Did a factory reset and all is OK now.

this happened to me exactly! Okay so 1st make sure you have the adb and sdk tools, I believe you can find small ones that could work like a small fastboot folder i forgot where i found but i'll edit the post if i find it. Now for the error -1 what i did was completely go back to stock, like bootloader relocked no root access running the latest t-mobile ruu in my case, remind me again what carrier version you have?
Edit- This was a guide that helped me a lot when i was getting issues I'm going to keep checking. Guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2365506&highlight=ruu
Edit(2): Here's another guide that is like a pure index for the HTC One http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2438026&highlight=ruu
Make sure to check the tools and the Ruu link because there's a minimal adb and fastboot that i used that worked. Ruu's usually come with an application for an Ruu, read carefully and feel free to look at my profile and email me directly, I'll be able to respond much much quicker.
Look at Complete Flashing Guide | Rooting | Going Back To Stock it's the second link in the guides section on index #2 and the tool is the last one under Drivers.
Continue down and there will be a section for Ruus and stock etc.

Long story short problem solved. Used android sdk to download drivers n it solved the problem.
Now the thing is the main problem with media files is still there AND I'm still on 4.1.2 only. Now that I have cupercid is there a way I can manually upgrade my phone to the official htc 4.2 update or the official 4.3 update rolling out to international versions?

I can't seem to find one and if i do I'm scared it will come with the 1.54 hboot and that is literally the last thing you want, I suggest rooting if you're not and running Maximus HD or Android Revolution HD, I've tested both and they are simply lovely. i wana keep my phone unrooted and official as long as possible. cuz then ill have something to look fwd to. right now iv just recently bought this phone n im loving n enjoying the stock roms too. whats the harm in 1.54 now that i have s-off? in that case do u recommend flashing the link u have posted. its developer edition does that mean it has bugs? or should i just wait for it to officially arrive? god knows how long bell mobile is going to take
also i just checked the thread, it updates to 1.55 hboot. man back in the dhd days rooting and flashing was so simple.also im thinking if i do flash ill do a complete wipe first. once i switch to this rom will i receive updates for the international dev edition directly? sorry for so many questions

First off I'm on an cspire htc one. It's an M7_WLS with CWM, the same as sprint but I'm not sure of the differences between the roms and ruu. I made the mistake of trying to install the ARHD which doesn't support sprint with TWRP and after that I've had OS issues. I have no nandroid backup and I'm stuck with what this forum or the net has to provide. It'd be awesome if someone had a stock cspire ruu. I've tried looking over the forums and found nothing on cspire. I've flashed, sideloaded, pushed, and the only type of coding I've done is this sort (google this, can't post links) 2013/10/fix-data-htc-one.html which helped remount /data after that unmounted from my tampering. In the process I noticed that system and data are switched between the two phones so I believe that's what my issue is(besides me messing up and trying to root the phone to begin with).
So far my greatest success at making the phone work is installing viper one(supports sprint) but I can only get to the homepage. The homepage has none of the services working. No signal, weather updates, the clock is wrong, etc. If I try to slide the lock up to unlock it, it restarts the phone. I really need the phone just working, it doesn't matter if its rooted or modded. I'd really love some help.
Have you found the stock RUU for this phone yet? If so please let me know because I too have an HTC One from CSpire. I have gotten the phone unlocked but I am afraid to root it until I get the stock RUU for CSpire... Please help me out if you know where to go and get this

Hi fellas having troubles here, trying to get an OTA update (I only want it because it fixes the annoying "sprint connections optimizer" popup), I flashed stock recovery, I'm rooted ofc, s-off, on stock rom and when I rooted my phone I also flashed h/k zip. But the difference with my case is that I don't even get to OTA update screen, no exclamation marks whatsoever, I press "install update now" while in Android OS, the phone turns off and boots in the bootloader menu. I restart the phone and of course nothing updated. I assume I'm doing something wrong, so maybe someone can help?
The H/K zip is most likely what's giving you problems.
Is there a way to uninstall it?
Flash the non H/K firmware...just be careful I know of at least 1 person that bricked going between the 2
I'm sorry to bother you again, that's probably stupid and against the rules, but I searched Sprint HTC One (M8) Forums here over and over for stock firmware and it did not end up well. Found this, but it seems like I shouldn't try it, judging by the first line, last messages and that its a closed thread. Also found that one, but it doesn't seem that it is stock, it says there are some tweaks and modifications made. I would go and google the stock firmware, but I don't know any other forums or websites I can trust, so could you please provide me a link with a stock firmware? I'm sorry again, but I really can't find it anywhere on these forums.
