[Q] Car Bluetooth PhoneBook Issues - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Everyone,
I have just purchased a HTC One M7 and have a few issues with the PhoneBook not syncing with my car. Basically only one contact appears on the cars phonebook after I have connected the phone to it and it's my own name..that's the only one that appears. I have tired copying all contacts to the SIM card and also to the Phone memory, I still can't get them to appear on my cars phonebook.
Has anyone had this issue or know how to resolve it?
Thanks

Car Kit with Diamond - not syncing tel nos

I've had my Diamond for a week now and apart from the battery life being a bit poor - I love it!
I'm managing to get through all the little niggles and annoyances with the help of you guys - but this one has me stumped!
I set it up with my bluetooth car kit. Its an Alpine stereo with a bluetooth unit attached (iDA-X001 with KCE-300BT if anyones interested?!).
The car kit has worked fine with most of my previous phones except Nokia Symbian ones. Perhaps this has changed in newer updates to them - but the original N95 wouldnt display my phone book.#
It works the same way as a Parrot - in that the unit checks your phone book for recent updates - and keeps them stored on it. Then you can dial from it by selecting a number from your 'local' phonebook.
The Diamond seems to work fine with incoming calls - but sticks at 'Updating' with outgoing - meaning I can never make a call from the car kit without dialing with the handset. Its like it never pushes the phone numbers across to the bluetooth adapter (which is meant to store them). I've clicked the Remote SIM on in the settings. Anything else I can try?
Is there a way I can FORCE my contacts onto it?

xperia contacts "disappear" from bluetooth car kit

Hi,
The address book on the xperia becomes unavailable from my car kit (Audi standard MMI).
If I reload the ROM it works fine for anywhere from a week to a month.
Then for no apparent reason the address/call info disappears and the phone continually will prompt to allow access to contacts when it first pairs with the carkit.
Deleting the pairing does not help - only reloading the ROM.
I am sure there is a registry key somewhere that could help.
Your guruness appreciated.
thanks
delete call history
Hi torobullo,
I know this thread is quite old but in case you still have the problem I found the cause of this issue.
I had the same problem then you that the contacts dissapeared
You don't need to reload the ROM.
All you have to do is to delete the call history. It seems that if this list gets to big it can't transfer it and therfore also the contacts anymore.
Give it a try I am sure it will fix your issue as well.
Xperia and Audi
Been having the same problem - thus far your solution seems to work. Many thanks. Les
Thanks despite it being an old query. Solved my problem on a modern Alpine car kit. Model CDE-103EBT in case anyone is looking for the same solution. Was just about to give up and kick the X1 into touch. Phew!

Bury CC9060 w/HTC HD2

Hi,
Reaching out to anyone else who may have experienced the same issue as me here, as I'm reaching a blank trying to contact Bury support directly.
Using a Bury CC9060 Bluetooth Handsfree car kit and a HTC HD2 - all features work fine apart from the fact some contacts from the HD2 do not transfer to the CC9060 properly.
I believe that automatic synchronisation of the contact list does not take place automatically, so I've been manually Bluetooth beaming certain contacts to the Bury.
They all appear to transfer properly, and indeed some contacts appear in the Bury phone book, but others simply dissapear.
Anyone else have any experience using a Bury CC9060 and a HD2?
Regards,
Richard Tubb.
Yes I am having the same problem, the contacts are there but there are no numbers attached to them. It may have something to do with the way the HD2 stores its contact information (vcard)

HTC One X9 - Bluetooth not connecting calls

Hey guys,
I've been experiencing a problem with my bluetooth recently. I am always connected to bluetooth in my car or using my samsung level U, I use it for both media streaming and calls. But about one week ago when ever I am connected to bluetooth either to my car or my samsung level U I can only listen to music, but can't receive or make calls. So I'd be listening to music but if I get a call.. I can't answer through the car i need to pick up my phone. Same thing for my level U.
I've tried everything from simply unpairing and pairing it again. To clearing the bluetooth cache. The problem only seems to go away when I restart my phone. But it will only work once after I disconnect bluetooth the first time the problem appears again.
I’ve also tried to simply check the phone audio selection under the bluetooth menu but it wont check it.
FYI i use to have an HTC One M7 before this phone. And it works just fine. I also tested a Samsung Note 3 with both the car and the Level U, it works just fine.
Specs:
Phone: HTC One X9 dual sim ( Android 6.0)
Car: Renault Safrane.
Hi
I have the same problem connecting my phone to my Sony car stereo and Bluetooth headphones, did you find a solution?
Hi everyone! Bluetooth working incorrect because that trouble in Google app and google play services. In support HTC Russia says that "
we know about this problem, Google in further updates will fix this problem. Thank you for understanding."

Question Duplicate contacts in Car

Hi folks, I have just bought a Note 10 5G running on stock ROM. I have paired it with my cars Bluetooth and noticed that every contact is showing twice. (This was not an issue with previous phone). Contacts display fine on the phone and only 1 contact source is present (Gmail)
I have tried looking for settings (including merge but there is nothing to merge). No settings on the car as it's the phone contacts that display in the car.
Is it a known bug? Or are there any settings I can use to fix this?
Please advise
Anyone?
