I have recently purchased Moto X using the Moto Maker website on 1st May which is yet to be delivered.
My first question is: I wanted to know how to track my order using the order#?
Secondly: As there is an offer going on in which we get Moto Skip when we purchase the Moto X using Moto Maker on May 1st that offer was not added to my cart. So, will I be getting the Moto Skip or not?
And finally: What is the customer service email for Moto X (USA)?
All that info should be in the confirmation email you got after ordering. If you didn't get the email (check spam folders?), check to see if you were charged for it (credit card activity, etc). If you weren't, I don't think your order was completed.
A Skip was added to my order automatically.

And also, my moto says it is still not shipped on their website(scheduled delivery is the 13th I think).. but FedEx has this thing that notifies you when a package is shipped to you. I got an email from them Monday. My moto x will be here tomorrow! It's called FedEx delivery manager..

I ordered mine on May 6th, and it is still showing not shipped on their website; however, fedex delivery manager shows that the shipping info has been sent to them and they just have to pick it up. I don't know if the skip will be included with the package with the phone or a separate package. I wish I would of seen were I could add a screen protector for free with my unlocked Moto X gsm order. I would talk to customer service about adding it, yet don't want to mess around with Motorola's sometimes screwy customer service lol. Why push my luck? I am getting the Moto X because they screwed up with my rma of my moto g. I was offered it in return for their mistake; however, they still sent me a moto g, yet it has some issues, and now they are sending me the moto X. Awesome!!! 3g to 4g lte, what's not to love? Grateful to the people at Motorola state side that got this all worked out for me. You guys are awesome. Now if I could only, honestly, say the same about the stuff going on overseas. They try, they do, yet sometimes the wires get crossed badly over there.

I created a new Motomaker MotoX as a warranty replacement for my original one (loose O-ring covering front-facing camera) on May 3rd and it arrived today (8th) with the Skip in the same FedEx box. The order status on Motorola's site still never changed until this afternoon, so it seems they're shipping faster than they can update the database.
1. To track your order, all you can do is log into your motorola account and see what it says for Status. However, since the X came out, people buying direct from moto have reported very inconsistent web site status updates. Often times receiving their X before the Moto web site was updated even once. Best bet... Sign up for a FedEx Delivery Manager account. You'll get alerts from FedEx when your phone is picked up from Moto, including the FedEx tracking number, expected delivery date, etc. (this will then be active for any packages sent to you/your address via FedEx)
2. I can't answer. Free Skip was not an offer when I purchased my Developer Edition back in November.
3. They don't really advertise an email address for customer service. If you visit Moto's web site and select help, there are options to submit requests via their web site for certain things like returns, device help, etc. But not a "customer service" email address. What are you wanting to do?
As you may tell, I've received it. I could see updates at the Moto web page. Got the Skip too, but haven't played with it yet. It arrived MUCH earlier than expected, but I'm within a day's ground shipping of the factory, so YMMV.
So far, not sure about the Air grippy case. The rubber helps some, but it's no Seidco nor Defender case.
Everything else so far? WOW! Compared to my old DD, this beats it in nearly every way.
I'm surprised how cute some of the custom apps are. Whether they remain after the honeymoon...

Bad News!!
My order was cancelled by Motorola and they are not mentioning why online. I will have to call their US hotline number to find out the reason for the cancellation.
Anyways, I couldn`t wait and had no hopes of that US order getting through so I ordered the Moto X 16gb from the local online retailer here in India (Flipkart).

Everything's kinda held up right now. If I understand the dates others have been throwing around correctly, your phone probably won't ship until AFTER Tuesday.

I ordered mine Friday night at 10pm. Got it today. Funny thing is that I knew it was coming before the cs reps did... I called fed ex, told them that I had something shipped to me but didn't receive tracking. Gave them my address and that it was express, sure enough, it was in transit and scheduled for delivery 9/24... Checked the moto site and it still said that it hadn't shipped. I got my tracking in the email about an hour after I picked it up.
BTW. I freaking love this phone! It was everything I hoped for. And the cement back, blue accents and black front is gorgeous!
Edit*** didn't see the t mobile part. Mine was a custom from moto maker, so take my shipping experience at face value.

Sign up for Fed Ex's free delivery tracker on their site - it's your best way of finding out if the device has actually shipped to you. Moto has this bad habit of not letting people know they've shipped things.
How do you track something without a tracking number?

I think I signed up for the correct thing with FedEx. However, I ordered Sunday, its Wed., and I have not had any delivery or email confirming shipment. When I login to the Moto X site, it still shows as "not shipped". Seems much slower compared to everyone else...
I did motomaker, so AT&T. Strangely, it still says "Not Shipped" on Motorola's website but I received it in the mail yesterday.
Any know the return policy for the Moto X. The website is not clear, it talks about having 14 days to change your design if you don't like it but no mention if you can get a complete refund. I want to buy this as a gift but need the option to return it if is not liked. Anyone ever receive a refund?

I read that as 14 days from purchase date (not delivery date). The website is silent as to the developer edition but I was told in a chat session the developer edition is 14 days from delivery.
I'd post a link but because of the rules, it won't let me. But if you google motorola return policy --- what I posted will come up.
EDIT: I see what you mean now, that language is for design changes. May want to open a chat session to clarify. They will send you a transcript after the session so you will the answer in writing as well.
You can get a full refund for a MotoMaker X. It is 14 days from the day FedEx delivers it to you, just like an exchange. You can open the factory sealed box and they will still accept it for a refund.
You may have to defend yourself if you get one of "those" reps...

I couldn't find that anywhere in their refund policy, has anyone here ever gotten a refund? I'm going to try to chat them up when it's not so busy.
I am not sure if they spell it out explicitly in their policy but they will take it back based on my experience at least. Sorry I was not so clear -- yes, I did get a refund on mine. I got a not so pleasant foreign sounding lady rep who called me on Thanksgiving 8PM asking me why I wanted to return my X for a refund and questioning me. She was a MotoMaker manager and wanted to confirm the refund after I had called them. The next day I got an email from a Motorola rep confirming the refund:

If you look in the Cyber Monday thread, you'll see a LOT of people returned their Moto Xs for refunds as well. I definitely understand where you are coming from in looking for it officially spelled out from Moto so you can feel safe about it, so I guess your best bet is going to be to contact Moto via chat/email (even though their phone support is much more accurate) so you can get it in writing and save it.
They take it back... Even with an unlock code generated. They also email you a prepaid overnight shipping label too. Its pretty awesome. I've not gotten my refund yet but I only returned it on Friday.

situation is I'm on my 2nd Moto X, both a had software issues. I'm sure Ill be able to refund it no problem based on my circumstances but just want some feedback. It sucks I really liked this phone.
also anyone recommend a good I can replace this with?
-should cost around 400$ w/ tax
-has to be new and from a legit retailer (not ebay or amazon 3rd party sellers)
-not a nexus 5, I here lot's of those are having some weird microphone volume issue.

I made a stupid decision to go with motomaker 32 gig full price instead of the dev edition. My fwd facing camera looks like the gromet or o-ring around the camera is coming off and sliding down partially obscuring the camera. Does anyone know if Moto has allowed people to swap from motomaker full price to dev edition since the cost is the same? Going to call later today when I can get on the phone and see if they'll allow it...

Assuming you didn't use any coupons or extra discounts, you could just return the moto maker one and place a new order for the dev edition, since that's usually how they treat "exchanges" anyway. If you had a coupon or discount that isn't available now, they can offer an advance exchange (where they charge you for the new device then refund it when they receive the old one) but I think that only works for straight moto maker exchanges.
Does anyone know when the new X will be available in the UK?
I'm just waiting for the Buy button to become available so I can press it.

From what I have heard it will be before the end of the month. Amazon will have stock from the 30th for standard 16GB models.
I would take a guess and say that the option to buy direct from Motorola through Moto Maker will come this week with delivery within 7-10 working days.
you can now buy it in germany but the website doesn't allow shipping to holland, looks like i am out of luck
I hope it comes this week as I'm after a 32GB model and don't mind pre-ordering it.

It says shipping from October 7th. I think there will be a slight delay as it has also been the case in the US for Moto Maker orders. There seems to be a part backlog from China.

I've got a friend who can mail it to the UK.
So if US warranty works in the UK, I wouldn't mind ordering it from there.
Since the OTA unlocks all LTE bands, so it should work with LTE networks here.
I asked Motorola when the Moto Maker 32GB edition will become available but they said they're not allowed to say.
Unlocked Mobiles has it for £395, but I don't know how much stock they have. Can't see anyone else with any at all.
I have been repeatedly tweeting Motorola UK and US asking for a release date for both the standard and MotoMaker models, but they say nothing other than "soon". This is a really, really bad launch. Worse even than the 2013 Moto X. Feels like they don't want anyone to buy one

I was going to go for the turquoise as it looks really nice in the photo on the Motorola site, but I don't know whether to go for the white or black front. I'm also looking at the Royal Blue back but the previews on Moto Maker aren't particularly good.
I'll update if I get a shipping notification. Ordered about an hour after it going live and there is such a dearth of hype on this device that I'm hoping I'll be front of the dispatch queue.
They've really flopped with this launch. Imagine if Apple sold a similar concept - design your own device. Everyone would go bonkers!
Apparently Clove has Black Resin and the White/Bamboo one in stock today, so if people want one sooner that might be the way to go. The black one actually doesn't look nearly as boring as I thought it would.
Also - really hoping that they send us the European model with the correct LTE bands. I've heard that the US Pure Edition doesn't have support for 3's LTE which needs bands 3 and 20.
The Moto Maker UK site is now allowing orders to be processed. There is now a Buy button.

Yep, see above. Been live since Wednesday evening.
I got a call today around 3:00pm from an 800-number claiming to be Motorola. They state that my phone order, which should have arrived today, has been delayed. They told me they were working on getting those out as soon as possible. Anyway, they asked if I wanted to cancel the order... I did (which I tried to cancel in the past because of a design error - I have sense reordered with the appropriate design).
Anyway they offered a $35 promo code.. for future purchases I recon.
Has anyone else received this phone call??
No communication at all and neither did my phone come in today. Their site still says expected delivery of 26th but nothing. I've tried to contact several times with no luck. Nobody knows where my phone is at Motorola.

I got no shipment email but phone showed up today.
I received a call last Thursday. They had me on hold for 45 minutes while they tried to track the phone down. They weren't able to and told me I would receive a call on Friday. I haven't received a call back yet.
I did not get a phone call. I did get an email saying that it was delayed by two weeks......and I would be getting a $25 promo code. I called two days later to try and find out where my phone is, and no one seems to have a straight answer. They are now sending me a free turbo charger. They used the " we have a very high demand for the moto x " excuse. I responded with apple has sold twice as many phones as you guys and they don't have these problems. I see it as being stupid and silly.
So who knows when I'll actually get it.....I'm waiting for my pure edition on Oct 13 too. We'll see how bad they botch that one too.

I ordered in the first batch of when they started selling them.
I went with a white face turquoise back purple accents for my wife.
I went with a black face olive back with yellow accents.

shattered my screen after having the black/black leather Moto X 2nd gen., having serious issues with Motorola, AT&T and Asurion so wondering (as a backup plan) are there any reputable companies that could repair the screen? for a reasonable price...

for the OG Moto X, motorola was giving you a free screen replacement one time only. So is that not the case with the 2nd generation Moto X?
What is going on with Asurion? Are they unwilling to replace the leather? If so, post on social media, particularly the ATT Android Central forum complaining about Asurion's policy. Put Asurion in the title and a the Asurion Social Media rep will see it and post to you. They are good about making good if you complain publicly on social media.

yes, Asurion wanted to give me a white resin back in exchange for a black/black leather back, crazy stuff. i mentioned them on Twitter and G+, no response. meanwhile Motorola will exchange like for like, plus cheaper than via AT&T or Asurion so i should be good.

Asurion says they will replace custom Moto X but you need to push them for it.

meanwhile it was taken care of... after i called Asurion out via Twitter and advised i was going to involve BBB, it's pretty sad i pay for insurance and have to jump through so many hoops. and deal with reps like this one http://pastebin.com/XxW3G0YY
overall it's been #replacementHELL and i finally got a replacement today, actually around the time i initially dropped the device, a week ago thursday (7 days of downtime)
had to go to at&t to resolve my phone being activated with my wife's phone number, phone has been getting pretty hot, even the at&t guy said "yes, that is unusually hot", scared to exchange it, 1. don't feel like going thru this ordeal again and 2. i received a new device in retail box which i really like!
so we'll see...
