Chance fontsize - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,
I want to change my fontsize.. In the Settings, I set the fontsize to "small", but in my opinion, it's to big. ^^'
Can I change the fontsize in build.prop or somewhere else?
Thanks for your help.

Download rom toolbox from Google play.. Loads of fonts, so I'm sure there will be something for you.. There is a free version and a paid version... Both versions do so much more though than fonts...

I'm using the Helvetica Font (ARHD) with the value "small", but it's to huge.. I dont want another font.. I just want to reduce the fontsize.

He means use those apps to find a smaller font. Some fonts are just smaller than others even at the same setting.

Yes I know.. It was just an idea, to change the fontsize in build.prop or in database..
But okay.. Thanks for ur help.

Just checked that font out.. it's looks small enough. But then, my eyes are going lol.

Now I'm using the font 'Bauhaus'. It's very small (lovin it) and looks okay.

[Q] Why are all fonts I install so small?

So as the title asks... Why are all the fonts I install so small compared to the stock font?
I mean they are not "miniscule" but they appear quite a bit smaller than the stock font and are hard on the eyes.
Are they like this for everyone?

Even these ones ? http://www.appbrain.com/app/cleanex-flipfont/com.monotype.android.font.cleanex
And you didnt mess with LCD density right? (even though that would make all fonts small )

EDIT: So I installed that font you recommended but I dont really like it. Are there any others that you can recommend that will install full size?
I have installed some from the FLIPFONTS thread in Themes and Apps but they all instal to small.
Please let me know...

[Q] Changing system wide font size

I don't know why but the SEARCH FUNCTION seems to ALWAYS be down.
Has anybody had any success with changing the font size on the entire system? Not using spare parts because it doesn't work, and I'd like to avoid LCD density as well. Does anybody know how to do it? Or if it is even possible?
your best bet is to use a larger font.. i agree the default can be too small
look for flipfonts ..
yeah i'm using this one right now that i REALLY like but it is TINY.. darn. okay thanks Truss.
does anybody else have any experience?
Try font installer from the market its the best way to enlarge fonts without the hard work lol

Request - Zegoe font with edify script and bold fix.

Hello,
This is a small request. I've looked everywhere for the Zogoe font with the bold fix. I had it on my Incredible but with the old CWM. I've tried changing the edify script with no luck. Can someone gracious enough get me a flashable Zogoe font with bold fix for the TB. Thank you.
Attached is the DI Zegoe font w/ bold fix compatible with CWM 2.5

Try font changer from the market / pretty easy stuff. Gonna try with your font and letcha know...
or google emend to edify, nice little tool.
I don't think font changer has the ability to do the bold fix. Tried it before with no luck. I'll try the edify tool and see if that works. Thanks guys

I mean just that. For example if you look at the fonts on Bamf remix 1.6.3 you'll see that things that should be bold are not. Ie gmail, xda, status bar clock...

Can someone just make that .zip I posted flashable in new CWM?

FYI, Zegoe is illegal to own and use.. its owned by microsoft. Its been awhile since I was told the exact information but one of the Zune MVP's I talk to often said since MS doesn't distribute it, its not legal to have.

Flash that from CWM and it'll overwrite stock fonts, correct?

It worked / as much as I like my Zune HD and the UI, no one (including MS) has been able to duplicate the feel and smoothness of the UI. DarkEdge came close for the OG, I was hoping for Pure or Avalon for the tBolt which would be nice. But I digress, the font basically worked with fon flasher after I extracted and renamed the fonts. The bold appears to show properly in some widgets, lock screen and handcent. Unfortunately for an 'overall' font it's a little too light. I personally like ubuntu, teen light and these days, Pakenham... There's a link out there in xda for flash-able fonts do a query, think you'll be pleased... peace

nope, changed, but still the same density
Cyanmobile settings worked for me you can also search for other LCD density tools on the market.

found one app...LCD density moder pro...works for me
just use root explorer, go into /system and opn build.prop in text editor (make sure mounted r/w)
look for the line in build.prop that looks like ro.lcd.density=120 and change the value to whatever you want it to be
save changes, exit, and reboot. your density should be changed to whatever you changed it to, and if you want it changed back, then look for your old build.prop which root explorer renames build.prop.bak as a backup
delete your build.prop and rename build.prop.bak to build.prop, reboot and you're back to standard screen density
i would rather do this way than having one more app on my phone's memory, plus there's a bunch of other stuff that can be tweaked in build.prop so really it's not a bad idea to be familiar with editing it and what each variable in it does
I hope you guys know that after changing density you will face a lot of app incompatibility issues?

If u have root u can try changing the changing the dpi of the screen
LCD Resolution (Root) / Rom toolbox
but u need to use a diff launcher.. doesnt seem to work good with TW
I want to change the font size in every app, i m not rooted and i am back from root, so on stock if there is a way to reduce the size
yes reducing the DPI will reduce the fontsize and app icons as well
Or as shiv said, just adjust it in settings, there's an option for tiny, small large or extra large, works across the whole ui.
