I want to remove that annoying carrier label in the status bar. Will this work with the Moto X?
I tried MotoXposed but it doesn't play well with GravityBox which I need.
There's already an app in xposed that takes it off.
MOTO X
I use Moto X Hide Carrier for 4.4+. Works fine with Gravitybox.
For anyone interested, I tried it (version 1.0.4) and it works flawlessly. No more systemUI errors like when using MotoXposed+GravityBox

I just received my Moto X, which immediately updated to Kit Kat as soon as I fired it on. This is the first phone that I've used that has the quick settings toggles that is not based on a custom rom like CyanogenMod. Call me crazy, but I can't figure out how to change the quick settings toggles. I searched on Google, but all that is coming up is how to do it on Jellybean, and that method doesn't work for Kit Kat. Am I missing something?
I do not think it is possible to change the quick settings toggles on the stock ROM. It would be a nice addition though.

There is no way in stock android. You need to root and use xposed (assuming you are on 4.2.2 still) or look into the play store. I dont know if this app works on JB - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.anttek.quicksettings&hl=en
Otherwise you have to use notification bar toggles - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.j4velin.notificationToggle&hl=en
Xposed + GravityBox

Thanks so much if anyone else knows? It looks horrible...
There are quite a few xposed modules that will handle this. I personally like running ART so I'm hoping someone comes up with a SystemUI mod like the 2013 Moto X that makes all the icons AOSP.
Do you have a recco for a light xposed app that would do this?
It isn't light but gravitybox has this.
I have gravitybox installed but cant find anywhere to turn off the 4glte symbol when wifi is on? Am i just missing it somewhere?
The module is MotoXposed but I don't know if it works on the 2014.

Unfortunately moto xposed does not work on the new moto x. Anyone else find a "fix"? Thanks

It should be under status bar tweaks > signal cluster

Thanks... I did go there but there is nowhere to hide the 4g symbol when on WiFi...

Go to the main settings screen. Under "Wireless and Networks" choose "More."
Now choose "Mobile Networks."
Uncheck "Show mobile network."
AFAIK there isn't one, hopefully someone will create a SystemUI mod like the original Moto X had. I hate that 4g icon so hopefully we can get AOSP.

Thank you! Couldn't stand this after coming over from the Nexus 5.
Tried GravityBox and Immerse Me Xposed modules, with no luck. Has anyone had luck yet with immersive mode? I usually just use it on the nav bar to give a little extra screen space.
I've never had a major issue using GravityBox to get Immersive Mode going in most apps, but on apps that I have had a problem forcing it, I've used the Xposed module called "App Settings": http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2437377

Thanks. I did run across that module, too. I'm looking for a way to get the immersive nav bar systemwide, including on the home screen. It's my normal setup, but doesn't seem to work on the X 2014.
Interesting... Only used GB for immersive successfully on my S4.

Used it on the S4 and N5. :good:
I am using the Force Immersive Mode 2.1.1 module that is listed in the Download section of the Xposed Installer app and have not had any problems.
Hello all,
I just upgraded to the Moto g6, coming from the g5 with aokp ROM. My two most used and favorite features are the left and right arrows that appear in the navigation bar while typing, which allow the cursor to be accurately moved (annoyingly janky on the g6), and the ability to slide left or right over the notification bar to adjust the screen brightness without annoying extra swipes.
I was wondering if there is any way to get these two features on the Moto g6, as I have been missing them.
Thank your for your help!

Those were features of the custom ROM you were using. Not the device itself.
That said, I enabled those features on mine with an Xposed module. Gravitybox. Works great. But, using Xposed, safetynet will fail. But if that's not an issue for you, Xposed is the way to go.
Magisk for root
Xposed for magisk (in magisk repo)

I had asked about installing modules, but using the Xposed unity installer in magisk seemed to be what worked. somehow ended up with a very old clunky version of the app, which was not detecting that Xposed was installed. I'm all set to go, thanks again!

Great to hear. I use those features as well. Especially the arrows in nav bar for the cursor.
Is the phone compatible with edXposed and Gravitybox pie?
I know that edXposed works since you need it for ps4 remote play. But haven't tried gravity box. I know I installed navigation bar hide and messed up my phone. So you have to be incredibly careful with what you use.
I installed xposed and messed my phone up. It would auto reboot to bootloader mode.
Gravity box works. Can confirm
Xposed and Gravity Box were most popular during Android KitKat. Nice to see that people still use it?
All the tweaks work with Asus Rog Phone 2?

All the tweaks do not work. I'm not sure which do and don't. I've messed up and had to reflash a few times because of gravity box. It seems to be anything messing with status bar (fsbi works fine though) will bootloop you
