How did you backup your TA ?
The same tool should also have a restore option.
Whatever rooted firmware you are in...you can always restore TA. But once if you restore a TA of locked bootloader. You cant boot into CM based roms. Or any other stock based ROMS with different kernel. As locked bootloader = Stock Sony Kernel ONLY!
So once if you restored the TA and rebooted and your phone doesnt boot but gives a orange/red LED blink. Dont worry. Flash your FTF and then boot to the official stock rom.
P.S : You can also flash a FTF on unlocked Bootloader.

So now first off all I will flash a .ftf file say eg .757 and once the phone boot up I will restore my TA partition and now BT is locked ryt? Any video how to restore TA backup??
Sorry for so much trouble...

[Q] Restore to stock

Hi, i have cyanogenmod installed on my xperia z with bootloader unlocked.
before unlocking the bootloader i have used the tool BACKUP TA to save DRM keys
If i want to restore my device to stock rom and restore also the warranty is this the right procedure?
- Relock the bootloader with falshtool
- Flash a sony stock firmware FTF with flashtool and full wipe
- Restore DRM keys with BACKUP TA
Skip first one, flash stock rom and restore TA.
Bootloader will be locked again once you restore TA.

[Q] Unlock BL & restore Data

Unlocking BL will format the /data partition. I made cwm backup before. After unlocking, can i safely restore the data partition? Afterwards the phone should be in state as before unlocking, right?

Hi @peters,
If ur considering unlocking ur BL, then i hope youve made a backup of your TA partition(the partition containing DRM keys needed for Bravia Engine 2)?Restoring the data partition wont relock your bootloader. If u want to relock your bootloader then you have to flash a stock kernel, make sure you are rooted and then restore your TA partition. Or you can use Flashtool to relock your BL.
Hope this helps
Yes i made backup of TA. With restoring of Data partition i wanted to have the phone in the same state as before unlocking. Of course with the difference of loosing Bravia and not using Fota.

[Q] Xperia ZR unable to boot

I can't boot XZR(C5502) since i tried to flash a CWM based Rom.
1)Xperia ZR 10.5.A.0.230 ROOTED[Locked bootloader]
2)Recovery installed Philz touch, cwm, twrp by NUT
3)I have Nandroid backup also have TA backup.
4)I dont remember about USB debugging on or off.
5)I tried to enter in recovery but nothing happend.
6)While entering in fastboot blue LED lights up.nothing on screen.
Please tell what to do?
Please paste a link for ftf file(indian).I can't find 10.5.A.0.230 for C5502 indian.
Is it ok to flash nordic or some other varient of ftf.
1. Did you check if the ROM requires an unlocked bootloader?
2. Did you perform a factory reset in recovery before flashing?
If you can't enter recovery, it's likely that zip you flashed included a kernel, and the kernel flash failed because of the locked bootloader. Find a stock FTF (doesn't matter which variant, only thing that changes is the bloatware and the default language, which you can change on first setup, all Sony media apps are the same), flash it, unlock bootloader (make sure you still have your TA backup, if not, root and take it again), install recovery and try flashing the ROM again.
P.S. Fastboot only shows the blue LED, nothing on the screen, there's nothing wrong.
Good luck!

Yes BE2 will work after restoring TA Backup. I guess (not sure), restoring TA will lock the bootloader as well. Correct me if I am wrong :angel:
