Can someone please help me on this.
What is TA Partition and what are DRM Keys.
If we want to back-up our TA partition what we should do
1. Rooting and then unlock the boot loader or
2. Unlock the boot loader and then rooting
If we should first root the device and then unlock, can we root the device without unlocking the boot loader.
Root without unlocking bootloader, then backup your TA..

relock your bootloader using Flashtool
guide over here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=45496437#post45496437
then restore TA partition using the tool you used to backup.

How did you backup your TA ?
The same tool should also have a restore option.
Whatever rooted firmware you are in...you can always restore TA. But once if you restore a TA of locked bootloader. You cant boot into CM based roms. Or any other stock based ROMS with different kernel. As locked bootloader = Stock Sony Kernel ONLY!
So once if you restored the TA and rebooted and your phone doesnt boot but gives a orange/red LED blink. Dont worry. Flash your FTF and then boot to the official stock rom.
P.S : You can also flash a FTF on unlocked Bootloader.
So now first off all I will flash a .ftf file say eg .757 and once the phone boot up I will restore my TA partition and now BT is locked ryt? Any video how to restore TA backup??
Sorry for so much trouble...

Hey guys.
I have a Sony Z1 C6903. I installed DZ1Striker rom and after that i decided to unlock bootloader. i have backed up TA and ive unlocked bootloader.
now after reboot phone it wiped. and after it boot successfully i checked md5 of the image and TA Partion and they are different.
now my question is that can i restore my image or i lost my DRM keys?
My question is when i unlock bootloader on my c6903 can i restore my data partition ? Beacause i have XZ dual recovery
Backup data first on your PC or sd-card before unlocking bootloader. But be aware that if you unlock bootloader you cant retrive data from PC-Companion.
XT1925-6 fully stock, what are the most complete backup options before unlocking the bootloader and rooting? Can I backup partitions with adb backup or rsd lite? Is it possible to make a nandroid backup by using fastboot to boot twrp without flashing on this device, or does the locked bootloader prevent even that? If it is possible, are there any problems with booting twrp patched with tipatch on this device? Other options? I'd like a backup as thorough as possible, but at least has to cover anything needed to restore to a fully functioning device if needed. User data and settings would be great, but obviously not as important as IMEI and such.
The most complete backup option in your case is a ADB backup.
No, you can't backup a whole partition with ADB/RSDLite.
You can't even boot TWRP to make a backup.
There is no reason to restore something with a locked bootloader because you can't make any changes.
If your bootloader is unlocked you can first make a backup of every single partition (mmcblk0p1, mmcblk0p2, ...) before doing something else.
My advice is to backup your /persist partition and store it somewhere external on a safe place. It's containing your IMEI.
