Other ROMs on Sprint LS995 - LG G Flex

Anybody tried to put some other ROM? I'm not experienced, just have CWM installed, and ask is there any logic to try? Or maybe just pass

There are no Roms yet. Recovery was just developed this week and its still only viable on 4.2, won't work for kit Kat yet. People are working on things (Roms and possibly updating the recovery at some point) though

Do not flash roms from international forum

Sorry, but there seems to be a new post every other day about people borking their Sprint phones because they flash a Rom from the "HTC One" forum.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
-------------------------------------
ROMS from the international forums WILL mess up your phone and you will be lucky to fix it after that! I get you want the shiny new 4.2.2 but those ROMS will not --I repeat-- WILL NOT WORK ON THE SPRINT HTC ONE.
Sure, they used to, but once they moved onto 4.2.2 they will not flash.
I feel this should be sticky in every thread on the Sprint HTC One forum.
People are still doing this?

Would this be helpful to anyone? It's kind of on/off topic... A direct link to HTC's copy of the HTC One update for Europe?
And by a direct link, I mean an HTC URL?
I mean, the proof is in the pudding...by which I mean the constant stream of "bricked plz help" threads.
So all of these stupid people that aren't reading prior to flashing and you think they are going to magically read this? I really hope this prevents a few but I doubt it.

well, that's right, i don't know if the devs over there warn about this or not, or people just don't READ, don't know

Combination of both. Some devs say not to flash if your on sprint, some dont.

From what I've seen all the major ROM's say in some fashion or another that it won't work for Sprint so it's mostly people just not reading. Maybe they could make the font about it possibly destroying phones if you are on Sprint bigger...and flashing...surrounded by naked women. Then maybe people will see it.
Unless your a Dev or know what your doing I wouldn't flash non sprint things... I know the partition labels and boot.IMG stuff so I have gotten things to work but not for a noobie

I have never seen so many people flashing the wrong roms as I have seen with the HTC One...If people would read then they wouldn't have these issues but we all know they won't read this either. You bought a Sprint HTC ONE, why would you not come to the SPRINT HTC ONE Development section to find a rom???
Sooo.....I flashed this rom called "NOTFORSPRINT" and now I'm stuck. Help me NAO!

No no no... You don't want to do that! First. Go to Apple.com, that part is right, but you have to download their Symbian Factory ROM. Then put your phone into DFU mode open ChevronWP7, and while holding shift select the .ipsw file you just downloaded and you'll be up and running with the latest version of WebOS in no time!!

Safestrap on i9295

Would it be possible to get safestrap working on the international version and if so would we then be able to flash roms without needing Odin to get Wi-Fi working? I've tried the other version and it installs and I get the new splash screen but if I press recovery the screen just goes black.

Does international version not have CWM already?

CWM doesn't do the same thing of creating those "slots" that Safestrap does... unless something new has happened with CWM of late since I haven't used it for quite some time personally.

Safestrap seems to offer better functionality than CWM and we have to use Odin to get Wi-Fi working.

There is a thread about this in the General section you might want to check out.

That's concentrating on the AT&T version not the international, I posted in there but no one responded.

4.4.2 LEAKED ROM, How do i root?

Hey i have the leaked version of 4.4.2 rom installed on my ATT note 3.
I hear news on the OTA update but i don't see why i need to get it.
I just want to get my phone rooted so i can use some of the applications that require super permissions.
Downgrading to 4.3 build seem like an option but some of the links bring me up to "file was removed because of copyright/somethinglikethat", also i prefer more of a one-click style.
But does anyone know where i can find it? Searching for it leads me to the exact opposite of what im looking for. So hopefully a thread post can help me out.
You can't directly root it as far as I know.
You may end up having to revert to MJ5, install SS and then install one of the 4.4 ROMs we have available.

i read his post, but you can't get safety strap installed properly without having super user permission. If there is no root for the leak i only see the option to downgrade to jb and get root. The process seems tedious and like i said a bunch of the things you need to download, the links aren't workin.
As far as I know, the links are fixed.
Some people like myself are not lazy and have no problem doing tedious things to get their phones to function the way they want.
You may not care about downgrading to upgrade to a custom 4.4.2 ROM with root, but others do.

Most people who have updated should have already read by now that it's possible to retain root thru the update. I've seen at least 4~5 guides within threads on how to do this already.

Towelroot for d950

I downloaded the towelroot app for my AT&T flex and rooted on KitKat. Worked great! Is there anything I can do as far as files to help get a working recovery for the d950 variant?

I don't think there is a recovery work around for KK yet, at least that I can find...
I hope someone figures it out...

I read in the cwm thread under development it's because of the kernel you get a boot loop or black screen.
