My pc doesnt recognize the device its either unknown or it doesnt show up
So you connected with a fastboot cable? If that is the case then download and extract the drivers in my signature somewhere and right click the unknown device in the device manager and hit update drivers and point it to where you extracted my drivers. If you are on windows 8 you will have to disable driver signature enforcement first. From there you should be able to restore it with kffa or SRT.

A specialist at this type of stuff told me it was hard bricked after 9 hours of working on it hard and by chatting any one know how to fix hard bricked? or just buy another one?
I seriously doubt it is hard bricked unless it starts either not turning on or shows up as a omap 4440 device. Even if it is hard bricked its still technically fixable, but you need a soldering iron, some skill, and a sdcard reader plus a Ubuntu live os to reboot into to reflash the bootloader and other partitions.

He said he tried both of those and it comes back to that screen. That is just a recovery bootloop. First get your KFFirstAide on your computer. Then read from this page on to fix your problem. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2096888&page=140 (Look for posts starte by "Bdeatha" and "AmrBanawan". It starts on this page Post number 1396. You won't need a factory fastboot cable, so when you restore you should say "yes" to it asking you to reboot into fastboot mode.
Good Luck!

NO check your devices manager, see if there is a kindle there in "portable devices" and then check device and printer to seee if kindle is in unspecified devices. You should be able to boot KFHD into fastboot without factory cable. To buy a factory cable if you need it you can Private message this guy. http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=4435645

I ordered a Kindle Fire HD 7" from Amazon few days ago. I rooted it by using Qemu tool then I did something wrong in /system/app. After rebooting, I cannot turn on my Kindle and its stuck on the kindle fire screen (Kindle Fire logo appears for a minute then it disappears).
I used a factory cable and put the kindle to fastboot successfully, but the problem is PC doesn't recognize it (windows said "unknown device"). I tried many methods in xda forum but they didn't work anyway. I reinstalled many time and tried in win 32, win 64 bit and even in linux but it still doesn't work.
Are there any solution for me? please help!
I was wondering if Amazon could replace it under warranty ? is it possible?
I thought I read you only use fast boot cable to get into fast boot, then normal cable to do the rest. See if that helps if not u can always try forcing the driver but idk if that's the best idea since it is saying unknown device instead of driver not found for kindle adb device or something like that.

I used fastboot cable to get into fastboot mode and then change to normal cable at you said, but the same situation -- Unknown device and device not found. Please see attached figure.
I also tried to forcing the driver many times and it still doesn't work at I said before.
I am going to say this now, windows 8 doesn't always work to well with us doing things to droid devices, or at least kindles, mainly because of drivers. Don't know if that's the case here because that device I don't think i have the right info, post the info on the details tab when u choose hardware id's from the drop down menu.
Also adb commands don't work in fast boot mode, a command u would want to try is fastboot -i 0x1949 getvar product
It should return something about Tate.

Thank you for you helps. I tried fastboot -i 0x1949 getvar product on Win 7 PC and it didn't work also. It ended with <waiting for device>. Do you have any other idea to solve the problem?. Please help me . I feel stuck right now.
Ps: I read somewhere that it may work if the battery battery drain out, so i am waiting to try this method.
What's the device manager in windows 7 say? Also I won't respond for a few hours I'm about to goto bed but I figured I'd reply once more before doing so.

One more thing, the error code show up in device manager is code 43
I've just borrowed an unrooted KF HD 7 from my friend and tried to connect to PC with normal and factory cable. It worked perfectly with no problem in both cables. So I think there is nothing wrong with the driver on PC.
Is my KF hard bricked and no way to restore it anymore
I don't know if its hard bricked, I still need the screen shot or just the text will do of what's in the device manager on that unknown device's details tab under the hardware id's choice on the drop down menu. If I recognize the vid in the details then I may be able to help.

Help please...
I installed Xposed Installer and rebooted and now:
Now my pc
Is not recognizing with adb
In device manager it shows that it is a portable device.
Take a look at the photo.
I do not have a factor cable either
I have chameleon rom
I can get to the lockscreen but no further than that
If you have a ROM installed then it should be a easy fix, reboot into recovery and remove the exposed framework from an adb shell, if an adb device is not present in the device manager while in recovery but a portable device is, uninstall it and let it search for new devices and it should pick it up.

I think you missed the part when I said ADB doesn't recognize the device is plugged in. So how would I get it into Recovery? I do do not have a factory cable.
Take a look at this
https://db.tt/Hg46tGg0
Recovery = turn device off, turn on, hold down volume up as soon as you see orange kf logo, keep holding it even once it turns blue, should eventually say twrp, let go of button. Hope that helps.

I attempted to use TWRP to reset the device and once it rebooted, the orange KINDLE FIRE HD screen will appear for a second, then the screen goes black, the the image appears again and then then screen goes black without end. Hard reset doesn't work. I tried pushing adb commands through but i get "waiting on device" and nothing else. Device manager doesn't recognize device either, it doesn't even appear on the device manager when I plug it in. Any ideas? I know I'm out. Based on other threads, I don't think that the factory cable will work either, although I don't currently have one even if it would. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
First, sorry for my English, I'm Spanish. The problem I have is that my kindle is bricked I used factory cable and put into fastboot mode then connect to pc but does not recognize the device. Get a message saying'''' Unknown Device. I have installed drivers 10 times and nothing .. Any solutions?

You can explain me how to install your drivers please?
OK if I understand this correctly, I'm assuming if you open the device manager , there is a device called something like "tate-pvt" probably with an triangle next to it. Right click it and hit update driver, tell it to search the folder you extracted my driver to, it should install them from there. On another note, after you use the fastboot cable to put your device into fastboot, make sure you switch back to using a normal cable once the kindle says "fastboot" on the screen.

I've done everything you've told me and nothing. When I install the driver from the device manager tells me the driver is updated and if I put normal cable after entering fastboot mode.
So what exactly is it doing now, or what is saying unknown device, you should be able to see if its working by running the fastboot command like this ”fastboot -i 0x1949 getvar product", it should report something back, if it does your ready to fix your kindle, otherwise if it hangs on waiting for device, something weird might be going on that needs more looking into.

There's a hundred topics on this if you just use the search engine.
Thanks for that thought, i have looked, I do have the most up to date kindle usb drivers i can get but still can not get windows to reconize the kindle in fastboot, I just want to clairify that the issue with the hd7 that can "fast boot" is that i cant get my computer to reconize it
Plug it in with a normal cable once it's in fastboot, then try my drivers in my signature on the device in the device manager that should say something like tate-pvt or jem-pvt if it is a 8.9" model.

I only stated that because so many times we have posted lengthy responses to this question and it takes a lot to type it all up on a tablet.
You stated you have 2 7" tablets. So stick with Tate.
So in fastboot , that's what you should see, fastboot. You won't see a red triangle and adb will not be recognized. Download the system restore tool here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33156486 follow the OP.
Edit: If a fastest cord does nothing to energize your tablet, that's a hard brick.
Edit 2: Update link to proper one.

What that means is if adb is recognized then you can use a command to get into fastboot with a standard USB. This does not apply to you because you're looking. You want to restore your tablet, I have shown you how to.

Yes, use a factory/Flashboot cable and use SRT 1.3.5. With that cable the Kindle will go into fastboot as soon as you connect it to a PC/Laptop which has Fastboot drivers loaded. When you are in the fastboot mode, you can confirm that that teh ADB driver is being used by going to Devices--->Kindle
Use Kindle Fire first aide
You should Kindle Fire First Aide at this link to unbrick your Kindle after fixing drivers.
