Sprint Connection Optimizer draining battery? - Sprint HTC One (M7)

My phone is currently at 23% battery left and showing 22% usage of the Sprint Connection Optimizer. The next closest item is only 7% as the google play services. Any ideas what is going on?

[Q] Battery usage issue: battery cronology and force close

Hi, i have an issue about battery drain here in froyo with official rom and speedmod kernel.
I notice a 4% per hour in stand-by drain.
If i check with *#*#4636#*#*, under "battery cronology", watching network usage i find something strange...
the most used application , more than email and everything else, is called "0".
When i try to click on it, watching details, i have a force close.
Is there something i can do ? i wouldn't wipe all data to check if i resolve...
Thank you
The same for me.
I have a big battery draining when the phone is on stand-by. For example this last night, i fully charged it, and in 12 hours the battery drained a 10% without using it, with juicedefender installed and configured to auto on 1 minute every 15.
I think that i dont have the gallery sensor issue, but my battery drains more than i think is normal, and i have the "0" under network usage, and get force close when clicking it.
It's the same for me as well..anyone knows what the '0' is??
I'm on JPA build.
same thing happen to me.........try to off your data plan and it will save lots of your battery juice.........unless u are really checking email on your phone of course this doesnt help!!
is it normal to lose 20% charge in standby within 4 hours? i have almost everything off and it still drain my battery like crazy. Sync is off, data is off, wifi policy is sleep when screen is off, gps off, bluetooth off. Anything you name it i have it off. I have "spare part" installed and looking a the stats i don't see anything else eating the battery life. Only thing i see under other usage. is "Running (33.9%)", "Screen on (9.3%), "Wifi on (100%)" "wifi running (61%). Could it be the wifi on at 100% eating my battery?
same problem here
if data is ON overnight, battery drain is very high, like 20% in a few hours (5-6h).
if data is OFF, battery drain is almost 0 (zero)
in iphone 4 when my data was ON overnight with 3G and PUSH turned ON, battery drain was somelike like 3 or 4%.
Something is terribly wrong.

15-25% overnight battery drain versus 3-4%

According to the Battery thread in this forum, some people experience a high overnight battery drain, and some get a low one.
I am currently a member of the high club. For battery testing, I have most things turned off, like location services and google now. Last night overnight drain (8 hours) took the battery from 76% to 58%... 18%. On my previous phone, the HTC One, the overnight drain would be around 6%.
I am curious about the people who are getting low (~5%) overnight drains. Do they all have Wifi off? What is their secret?! Do tell.

Install better battery stats to monitor what's going on. I think the one night I left it off charge over night I lost maybe 6-8% but I slept for like 10+ hours. This is with google now on, gps on, wifi on.
What i'm testing now that I think will actually improve batt life is having wifi turn off when display is off (unless plugged in). I think I noticed less idle drain at home when I did this but it was temporary. Giving it a shot over a few days now.
I leave wifi on and I get less than 5% drain. Nothing syncs when my screen is off except notification weather pro every two hours and Yahoo weather

Personally I think the X and new droids have idle drain issues. Even when better battery stats shows nearly 100% deep sleep overnight, I still lose 8-10%. In comparison, on my HTC One mini, which is setup EXACTLY the same as my X in terms of installed apps, syncing accounts, running services, etc., I lose only 2-3% overnight. The number of people complaining about the issue seems to confirm it is more widespread than on other recent phones, as do the countless screenshots showing unusually high android OS usage in battery stats.

I honestly believe it will be patched with the Camera.
I'm having the same issue. People are reporting crazy battery stats with like 20+ hours of use 2+ hours of screen on and like 20% battery left. I get MAYBE 12 hours of use and 2 hours of screen on and 20-25% left. My mediaserver is keeping the phone awake for almost an hour+ each day, and without root I can't figure out how to stop it. I always have GPS/Google Now/Bluetooth off, too.
I thought the drain was related to Wifi. But last night WiFi was turned off for the night and I still got 18% battery drain in about 8 hours.
Wifi at home and overnight. I get about 5% drain... however, the wifi at work kills my phones battery with the wlan wakelock.
Maybe there is something going on with the X and certain wifi networks?

Interesting theory but my overnight idle drain was approximately the same on both LTE and WiFi. 10-15%.

How about turning off all radios (flight mode) and observe battery drain at night. Then turning wifi while on flight mode the next night and see the battery drain and so on until you can pin point what causes the most drain.

[Q] Droid turbo battery problems?

Hello - first of all, forgive me. I'm sure I'm not going to initially give you everything you need for troubleshooting my issue. Please let me know what you need from me.
My issue: I think something in my software/configuration is hurting battery life. I recently bought a droid turbo to replace my s3. My s3 battery was not lasting long and I had very high awake times (I think).
Today from native android battery stats:
14h 48m 11s on battery - 42% remaining
stats:
screen 23% - 1hr 44 m 46s
cell standby 14h 48m 39s, time without 4%
Google play services 11%, cpu 23m, keep awake 1h 42m 46s, GPS 20m 7s
wifi 14h 50m 25s
android system 1h 5m 16s, cpu foreground 1m 24s, keep awake 8m 58s
android os, 8%, cpu 41m 47s, keep awake 1h 55m 10s.
It's the high awake time on googe play services and android OS that leave me scratching my head.
I started with a fresh droid turbo, then reinstalled all my apps via play store. Do any of these numbers look odd?

Almost every time I read "Google Services" and the word "battery", you should first check your location settings in your phone and also in you Google Settings, because most of the time those are the culprit for large battery drains.
:highfive:
Same problem here

Among a few other issues, I had this same problem although, I was lucky to make it to 14 hours without just leaving it sitting on a table with everything disabled. I tried to factory reset but ultimately returned it to wait on the N6 I ordered.

Reading a lot of reviews about the N6, it seems that N6 has really serious battery issues, so let's hope that those will be fixed through software or something.
:crying:
As long as I can get through my day without having to charge my phone I am happy.
Check out this thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/help/battery-life-help-troubleshoot-battery-t2785128
It's a Nexus 5 thread and obviously with no root on the Turbo you have no xPosed or Gsam root companion but the Google location services is still relevant.

[Q] Google Services consuming significant portion of battery

Lately I feel like my battery life has gotten worse. If I check my battery stats, it shows Google Services consuming a major portion of the battery, typically 25%-35%. I've also found my battery life has gone down to about 25% left after 16 hrs being unplugged and only 1.5hrs of screen time. Any suggestions as to what could be causing this?
I have this occasionally happen with Google Services. For some reason, it just starts holding the phone awake all day and the only cure I have come up with is a reboot (other than opting out of everything Google).
Try disabling GPS for the day and see if that helps.

Android battery stats look incorrect

For everyone having high battery drain on cell standby on 5,1, I think the issue isn't as bad as the Android battery stats show in settings. I have installed Gsam Battery Monitor and the stats that the app show, are way different then the stats that the battery settings show. The Gsam Battery stats look much more realistic.
I have the stats from a day and a half, but I didn't turn on cell data, unless I needed it, which gets rid of the cell standby bug on lollipop, so you don't see the high cell stanby issue. Today I will keep data and WiFi on and post tomorrow, just to show the high cell data battery usage on Android settings, compared to GSM Battery.
Notice the screen use is 20% different, the WiFi is 4% different, which is almost a third, even with data off to stop high cell stanby battery use, my radio uses a total of 9%, but GSM battery app, has a total of 3%, which is 2/3rd less. The only thing, that looks correct is app use in settings battery.
It will be interesting to see the difference on cell standby and phone idle, when I have WiFi and data on the whole time, which makes the cell stanby use like 50% in the battery settings stats for me normally. I will post when my phone gets low

These effects are not bugs in general. LP just has bad description of what Cell Stand-by is exactly. Same goes to wifi and other stuff.
It's also very bad idea in general to claim bugs, when you have so little info to rely on, let alone how accurate the tools you use are.
Unless you got direct access to actual measurement of a given component, everything goes in the realm of hugely distorted approximation.
In other words, you're wasting your time. But hey, it's your time after all!
Um this is a well known bug not claimed by me lol
Play store services says 30% in the Android settings and 1.2% in GSM today. The cell stanby us at 20% in Android and 10% in GSm
