Since USB spec is 5V. You will most likely not find a 12V usb one.
Your best bet is to simply hardwire a 12V-to-5V adapter. I used a standard USB cigarette adapter. I wired a female cigarette adapter internally, and taped the two together. I bought a large 4A one, to be able to supply enough power to the tablet, and other peripherals.

Anyone know if there is any sort of splitter device, that will allow me to use one charger to charge two phones with miniUSB sockets?
Need to charge a Magic and Touch Dual but have limited plug sockets.
Thanks
Not exactly what I was looking for but these seem to do the job.

A couple of similar products can be found on ebay.
I'm a bit wary of USB plugs, as I have had a cheap one explode next to me. No injury sustained but I was lucky, any closer and I would be pulling plastic pieces out of the side of my head.
The search continues ...
Yea iGo. They sell universal chargers and a dual splitter. Its very cheap.
motorola had a dual mini usb splitter sold as an accessory. its designed to let you charge a phone and one of their bt headsets that also used mini usb.
However, i think its a switching unit, it supplies power to the phone side (they're labeled) first until its full, then switches to the other side.

You sure? I typed in MicroUSB and got (dramatic pause) ... MicroUSB
Let me show you the different ones:

Starting from the left.
1) Micro USB
2) Mini USB
3) USB B Out
4) USB A In
5) USB A out
Our phone uses MicroUSB.
EDIT: Not FireWire what was I thinking?!?
Thanks man. After I saw this first I stopped searching:
I now learned that the image is MicroUSB A and the one in our phone is MicroUSB B.
If you press hard enough, any cable will fit

Additionally a consistent hammer work will help the fitting process if plain pushing doesn't help
I can not use the product in the picture
I want to connect the phone to USB memory. No response when I connect it does not.
How do I use the picture with the cable USB Memory

my english is bad
OTG is not supported out of the box by the SGS.
There are workarounds that needs a custom Kernel. and a cable that'll use an external power source. I haven't tried them though. Try looking for threads in the development section.
I want to use OTG without external power. I could not find kernel support without an external power
there is no way to connect usb without external power source
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda app-developers app
exaclty...no way...you need a usb hub or a y usb cable (2 males and 1 female) connect 1 male to your otg the other to a power source (usb charger) and the usb device (usb mass storage, controller, whatever) goes into the female.
You also need the free app "usb host controller" and a kernel that supports host functions (semaphore for example)
I love my Nexus but I do have one compliant or wish.....When I am using my Nexus while charging it, the charging port could not be located in a worse place as far as holding it (portrait) and charging. I am really worried about damaging the port.
My thought is, if the was an adapter that had an L-shaped male to plug into the Nexus and run along the bottom to make it less of an issue to putting stress on the port.
Has anyone seen one of these?
Like one of these?

Personally if you're worried about stress try looking for a 6" extension cable with a right angle connector instead. IMHO of course.

Only issue is that the N7 is very selective about cables.
A generic Micro USB cable will not charge at full rate.
I use a couple of generic usb cables (eBay), 2mtrs long with a right angled plug. They both seem to work fine for me, I tend to leave the N7 on charge overnight but it charges up pretty quickly anyway.
Happily purchased all required cables and adapter for this to work, Cat6 LAN cable, USB3.0 hub with Gigabits Ethernet Adapter that has a USB-C at the end. Yet I couldn't get it to work. Have attached the USB Port Host information, Anyone know how to fix this?

And looking around XDA and Google never gave me a good answer...
So seems like nobody knows the answer...?
FYI the USB3.0 hub is KY-888 Realtek Gigabit Ethernet
