Im a little confused here . baseband says i9300zsema2, but your saying that it has 2GB RAM. i9300 is 1GB RAM and i9305 is 2GB RAM. something is not right here!
you should make sure which model you have. go into ''about phone'' in settings and check your model number if it is i9300 you should flash a i9300 recovery and i9300 rom. If it is a i9305 then i9305 recovery and i9305 rom. Be sure to be rooted before all!
for installing/flashing custom recovery with odin:
-download CWM recovery according to phone model (latest version recommended!!) it should be a ''.tar md5 file'' (google it)
-download Odin3 v3.09 (again google it) and open as administrator on your pc
-you should enable usb debugging in phone ''developer options''
-click AP button in odin and find the downloaded CWM recovery .tar md5 file and open it
-be sure that auto reboot and f. reset time are checked and re-partition is unchecked
-go in download mode with phone (hold VOLUME down + HOME + POWER buttons let go when you see samsung logo)
-connect your phone with the usb cable that came with the phone to your pc (odin should say in the message box ''Added'')
-click start and wait.. (when it says ''removed'' in the message box you can disconnect usb cable and phone should reboot)
Congratulations you have installed custom recovery Boot into recovery to check it out ( VOLUME up + HOME + POWER) :good:
for how to install custom roms with recovery you should check out the thread of the rom you want to install for instructions or for more detailed info google it. Yeah google is your best friend
and remember everything you do is at your own risk!
hope this helps mate

as far as i know there is no i9300 4g lte, only the i9305 4g lte from the s3 series. but the galaxy s4 has also a lte version like the i9505 or the s4 mini i9195. just do some research and analyze the phone specifications and see what fits your needs the best. :good:
post a photo of the sticker under the battery (ofc cover your IMEI and S/N) - it might help determining what model you actually own
This could be an American Galaxy S3, there is a variant that has LTE and 2GB RAM but only duel core. AFAIK Samsung released a Galaxy S3 SGH-i747 brought out by AT&T
http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s_iii_i747-4803.php
Lists it as having Duel core, 2GB RAM and LTE.
In other words DO NOT FLASH GT-I9305 OR GT-I9300 FIRMWARE unless you want to brick your device. Please use the search on the forums and go to the appropriate Forum specifically for the SGH-i747. Then do some research first before flashing ANYTHING!

But why the baseband say i9300 for that device? As far as I know it's codename has never had that format. At least CyanogenMod have merged all versions of the Qualcomm S3 LTE into d2lte.
Is it possible that some ROM:s for the i9300 can be flashed on an i9305? They are both Exynos devices.

No such thing as a "American I9300 that is LTE and 2GB RAM ", if it is LTE then it isn't an I9300, if it is dual core it's an American model, if it's quad it's an i9305 or a Korean variant.

Absolutely not! DO NOT FLASH an I9305 with an I9300 ROM. If you do you will be sending it to Samsung or some local repair place to have the IMEI number restored. Regardless of what partition is explicitly called in an installation script, if the device does not match the Partition ID/Partition Map and the Partition number it WILL wipe your EFS!
Further to this, I have had plenty of experience porting I9300 ROMs to I9305. Most of the time they won't boot. Even if working with just the core system files and using the stock kernel for your device (if you knew what that was) and the stock modem, it is still a massive task to get everything working.
See my info thread >>> here (note this is specific to I9305 international Galaxy S3 LTE - this may not apply to your specific device, but it highlights the complexity involved in doing such a process). Short answer is NO. Not compatible, don't try.
For what it's worth pull the battery out and look underneath, there should be enough info to ID the device on the sticker under the battery, further to that go to settings > more (if its 4.3 or above it) > about device. Please report back here the information you see in your about device section of the phone. Don't flash anything until you do that or you maybe very sorry. I am not guaranteeing that I or anyone else here can give you a definite answer but it is worth while being 100% certain before you: 1) waste time downloading something not for your device 2) mess your device up by flashing incorrect firmware.
I recommend you do LOTS of reading before even attempting anything.

I can't see any picture of the sticker behind the battery? And also no evidence of the 2 GB of RAM. I'd say it's a regular i9300 you have there.
That antenna has nothing to do with 4G as far as I know. It just looks like an after market back cover.
See 4th picture it says RAM 1,75 GB,
i remove the back sticker picture because of imei number.

On your fourth screenshot, it says Software Version: e210skslk7
That version is belong to a variant, specifically the SGS3 SHV-E210S
It's appears to be like the i9305, and certainly has 2GB ram and LTE, link below form gsmarena. But it's neither an international i9300 or an i9305...
A quad-core LTE-enabled Galaxy S III with 2GB RAM to hit Korea
And looking at samsung-updates.com, Samsung have released an official 4.3 rom for it.
http://live.samsung-updates.com/index.php?device=SHV-E210S
There's already a thread on XDA dedicated to that model, listing all kernels/roms/rooting etc..
[OFFICIAL] Korean SGS III (SHW-M440S/SHV-E210S/K/L) Rooting, ROMs, and Kernel + Guide
Hope that helps! :good:
Thanks bro for such details, let me check it n i will reply u soon

DO NOT UPDATE! I REPEAT, DO NOT UPDATE to 4.3.
You might be knoxed. Read about knox so you know what you're dealing with, if that version has KNOX, once it's in, you're not getting it out.
Shv-e210s have 32 gb internal memory, but my cell phone have only 22 gb internal memory,
Oh its too confusing
xda rocks
Welcome to Samsung. The device has a 32gb eMMC. Android and touchwiz steal 8gb. You're left with 22GB in the internal storage.
My i9305 has 16gb, storage left = 11gb give or take.

Do you mean the Telstra GSIII LTE?
If yes, then try asking Telstra, though probably they won't give an answer.
I believe they might not be compatible because Telstra has history of modifying models,
both hardware and software, which compromised the phone experience under other carriers.
And assume they are compatible, then why it is named I9305T instead of I9305?
Obviously making one model is easier than making an I9305 and another version with a "T".
So, I guess you probably should not try the firmware for another version of the GSIII LTE until you get a CLEAR answer
Good Luck!

As far as I know they are exactly the same aside from slight software differences. I've got a GT-I9305 bought from Kogan which is a Hong Kong version. In stock form it worked on the Telstra network but the signal strength was not all that great and it use to drop of the network on odd occasion which required a restart in some case to reconnect. I got a bit tired of it so I flashed it with the official Telstra ROM last Friday. So far everything is running great, signal strength is as expected and it did not drop of the network at all since the re-flash.
All I can say now my phone is now a GT-I9305T and it works as it should :good:
awesome, thats great to know.
i was also doing some searching on the internet earlier today and realized that my s3 ( GT-I9305T) was only running the 4.1.1 version of android and that the GT-I9300 was updatable to 4.1.2, i then went on to check for an update which came back unsuccessful saying that i had the latest version of firmware, i understand that they are releasing it model by model but does anyone have any idea on whether the GT-I9305T will get the update? and also any estimate on when?

Have you tried this search?
https://www.google.de/search?hl=de&...0...1.1j2.64.psy-ab..0.2.341....0.hub_oipjIe0
I guess you will find help in one of the search results
First of all download Samsung USB Drivers: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1I3ilHBfl1lSvkqQwHZTEOE6usggQqQGb
Download TWRP for GT-I9305T: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1kmpXSVGdd_XR2WojWqAe8rd_Xm7gZ8Lj (its an old version of twrp but it should work)
After downloading twrp download Odin3: https://drive.google.com/open?id=10CLH6TqF6PLiqnMnjqY5IgsfU5KjX-F-
Extract it od desktop
Now power off your s3 and boot into download mode holding Power Button + Volume Down + Home Button
You will see that screen turned on and press Volume up to continue into Download mode
Connect your s3 into your pc via usb cable. Open Odin3 and you will see on the left side message that says Added!!
Now click od the AP button and select twrp that you downloaded
Go to options tab and make sure that Re-Partition is unticked, Auto-Reboot and F. Reset Time keep ticked
Finally click Start button and the twrp should flash, you will see green text saying PASS!
After flashing twrp the phone should automatically reboot, download SuperSU: https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/supersu/download/zip/SuperSU-v2.82-201705271822.zip
Turn off the phone again and hold Power Button + Volume Up + Home Button and it should boot into twrp, swipe to allow system modifications, and select install and find the supersu.zip file, select it and swipe to confirm flash.
After reboot your s3 should be rooted. You will have SuperSU app in the menu.

Yes the "T" in the name is just the Telstra branding, if you follow ausdims rooting thread you will be fine

Thank you
The 'T' in the model number isn't branding. The phone is actually slightly different.
I have a friend who works for Telecom here in NZ and they also sell the I9305T.
He said it is optimised for use on Telecom's network (and obviously Telstra's too) it uses different modems and the antenna is different inside the phone.
They do however use the same ROMs and firmware. Anything intended for the I9305 will also work the same on the I9305T, except modems.

Hello everyone!
New to this forum and new to Android phone. I have searched the whole forum and read through the dev-sections. Also did searches on multiple sites and through searchengines to find out what device model to use in the ToolKit...didn't find any confirming answer to my question.
As I have no posts from before, I couldn't write this in the dev-section, so I chose the thread that was closest to what I was looking for.
Question: What is the correct device model to choose in the ToolKit (I have version 7.0.0).
Information from my "about section"...
Phone: Samsung Galaxy SIII 4G
Model: GT-I9305
Android-version: 4.1.1
Build: JRO03C.I9305XXALK5
Operator: Telenor (Norway)
The options I lean towards since the only choice showing 4G, is number 21 (International 4G).
Problem is that it says it's GT-I9305N and not GT-I9305. It also says (Build JRO03C ALIA) and that does not match to my build either.
Then I look at the (International LTE), which says (GT-I9305)...which is ok.
And then number 14, which says (Build JRO03C ALK5), which is the same as mine...but it doesn't say 4G, which I have.
It might sound silly, but I really dont want to make the wrong choice here and end up having a phone that either "does not work at all"
or "does not work as it should". And before anyone says that I then should just leave it alone, my only intention at this point is to let
my anti-virus get root-access, so that the firewall works and the anti-theft works.
Hope anyone can be of help and thanks in advance.
Anders - Norway

or "does not work as it should". And before anyone says that I then should just leave it alone, my only intention at this point is to let
my anti-virus get root-access, so that the firewall works and the anti-theft works.
Hope anyone can be of help and thanks in advance.

Ok, so I rooted my device yesterday after reading through like 10 more threads...just took a chance, thought to myself "guts and glory" and went for it..went well =) I chose option 14 the build was the same as mine and it worked like a charm.
I am still left with a few quesitons though...might not be relevant to the thread anymore...
Does the rooting share the same build-match requirement as the flashing of a new operatingsystem?
How do I uninstall apps that were preinstalled on an operatorlocked phone?
Anders - Norway
I think you should look for app in app store, Root App delete or something like that. Then search for you operator apps/files and remove.

1. Bootloader is allready unlocked
2.For how to root look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2255190&highlight=how+to+root
3. Flash custom recovery, would advice this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxZf39vI0Lc. Download the .tar.md5 and flash with Odin in PDA.
4. Go to the CM thread and download the latest nightly and Gapps (Google apps) and place on the sdcard.
5. Go in recovery and wipe cache, dalvik cache, format system and data factory reset and then flash the CM rom and Gapps right after another without rebooting, reboot and you`re done.
hi
hello does it matter that it's a different usb cable, its of htc because the one i got with the phone doesnt seem recognise my phone on the pc

Is it better to update (to current) android version?
Or is there ANY practical sense to ROOT at lower level android v. Then apply OS mainframe.. YDVTY
Could somebody help me or re-direct me where i could find info on how to make modifications to a kernel? i've unpacked it already but i don't know what i'm looking for.
My phone is an SC-03E (Japanese S3) it has the same specs as the note 2; 2gb ram, Exynos 4412 Quad [email protected], and LTE
i've gotten many ROMs for the I9305 to run on my phone by simply replacing the kernel in them with mine. However, there aren't any kernels for this phone that support overclocking.
XDA forum Android development and hacking may help.

Picked up a Titanium Grey S3 LTE today after trading mine in.. Only paid an extra £40 for a BNIB one.. dont think they knew what they were selling hehe
Anyway, am I right in thinking that I flash these roms now?
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1...ode=0#firmware
But flash it in the same way as a 9300, with ODIN 304 and samsung drivers.
Thanks
Just checked up, It is exactly the same process.. an S3 LTE is just an S3 with an added 4G circuit and antenna and 2GB of ram.. so yeah.. its flashed through ODIN the same.

Just don't flash the wrong firmware (NO I9300 firmware , ONLY LTE ones), and be sure you got a I9305 and not I9305N or I9305T.

I flashed an EE UK modem.bin this morning after extracting it from the Orange UK LTE rom, so you gotto really watch for that.. or its a one way trip to brick, but thats something I make a point of when Im looking on here or samfirmware, so thanks for the reminder. Appreciated
Cheers
flashing a wrong modem isn't a "one way trip to brick", relax. the only things that can lead to it are flashing a wrong bootloader, recovery, or losing EFS
Just out of curiosity and maybe to help others be more aware...
When I checked I thought there was only one variant of the S3 LTE, didnt realise there was the T and the N.. but are these region differences such as N-North america or T-Thailand
So a 9305N or 9305T rom would brick a I9305 International device.
Hello,
I have a G900A S5 and looking for flash the G900F on my phone. Is it possible? Or gonna brick the phone?
Thank you
You should search before you post. It isn't possible at this time due to locked bootloader

Correct. But doesn't Stok G900F ROM come signed from Samsung? Does G900A bootloader accept only its ROM and no others with valid signature?

Search xda and you will find your answer also search google
have fun bricking your phone. please take pictures as you go.
Can I get iOS 7 on my G900A???? Samsung and AT&T locked it down like an iPhone so why not
The g900a has a locked bootloader and no exploit as of yet to install a custom recovery so you will brick if you try to do it.

I was actually just thinking about this.
What if with an ATT S5 you switched carriers to t-mobile, but you were experiencing compatibility issues with the ATT firmware?
I did a live chat on the samsung website and the computer/samsung rep told me if I took my phone to best buy to one of the samsung care locations that they could switch the firmware.
I wonder if this means they have the capability to remove the lock on hand.
-Not sure if I'm going to try it out seen as I'm not actually switching I don't want things to get weird but maybe someone who is going to return their att handset for a t-mobile one could try this before hand?
anyone tested? are the same settings ..
Omfg ... how hard is it to understand that no root no flashing ??? Plz do research before u ask dumb questions

I already tried this, it bricked my phone, I put it up on a page, it won't let me Flash a tmo rom or custom recovery, it went to the screen where it says "this firmware is not recognized by att..." etc I had to put it on download mode and push the original firmware by Odin. And I wasn't able to enter my recover after that until I got the att update not to long ago
Funny....but what if...oh wait, what if I try this? But, but....NO, quit trying before you PERMANENTLY brick your device lol

noob question, sorry to revive, chances to scold me.
if I have a rom with odin g900f if one chooses only
* AP
* CP
* CSC
these three can or can not be on at & t?
I have understood that if you play * BL will have problems, and the others?
I have not tried, I do not want a brick, lol
No way to install a stock rom g900f unmodified clear without knox, I've seen here they are using as a basis the g900f roms with safestrap but are highly modified?
I have tried to install the rom alvin g900f but I have problems with root and custom padlock at power on.

you can't flash anything thru Odin unless it is the official AT&T firmware the ONLY way you can have a G900F firmware on your G900A device is to root (using towelroot by geohot) install Safestrap recovery and then flash any of the custom Touchwiz ROMS from the forums.
What if you want to install the other way?
An G900A ROM to G900F?
Is this possible?
hey guys.
sorry for bothering.
i have an AT&T samsung galaxy s5 G900f running kitkat 4.4.2
i'm from morocco ( the third world )
so no best buy stores or a way to get an At&t Sim card.
i tried updating my phone via settings> phone info > Software update but it says You software is up to date.
i did some searches anf found out that i need and An official At&t Firware of G900f which i looked up but found nothing.
so , can i flash any other model's Firmware like the one of the international version G900f or G900A....etc?
thanks in advance and thank you so much.
waiting to hearing from you soon.
The AT&T version is G900A, not G900F. Either way, you can't flash unofficial firmware versions. You can only flash custom roms if you are rooted and it's limited to a few.

yes i know the At&T version is G900A.
i'm just confused.my phone is G900f.regardless , when checking for software update , here's what or says in the screenshot below
by flashing i meant updating the firmware via Odin or kies to lollipop or marshmallow.
maybe my phone isn't An At&T version, but it has an At&T firmware installed.
that's why i can't Get it updated via OTA updates.
so i wan't to update it manually.
i'm just wondering if i flash A firmware of G900f on my actual Firmware , will it cause my phone to stuck in a bootloop or such thing ?
